- Yo everyone! Couriway here this is part of my challenge to speedrun hardcore minecraft 100 times in a row WITHOUT dying. If I die I have to restart the challenge at 0 completed runs. Watching that Run 68 clip was like playing a coop board game. Planning on a way to try to save yourself and working together with each other to find the best way to do it.
This challenge has been absolutely amazing so far, you've persevered through everything and done some really really cool things along the way. Attempt 90 ended on a low note, but I am confident that Attempt 91 will not. Go Couri!
A heartrate monitor would be an awesome addition to this.

The game tested you during this stream. It threw everything it had at you and you overcame it all. There’s just not much you can do when cornered by two creepers without a shield and good armor. So don’t feel bad you’re going to get it soon
When you place a block between you and a creeper you take a lot less damage but in couri's situation you just think "I can just past them without caring" but there was another creeper. Then you think "so I will back down" and then the disaster happens.

Flanked by Two creepers in fact. He ran pass the first one and got confronted by a second. That was such a painful way to die, I don't even think it's possible to live there.
Of course it's possible, but there's no way he should have taken that much damage there idk what that was about

I would say what my favorite part of the video was, but I don’t have a favorite part. Literally it was all fantastic. So many near death experiences. This challenge has taught us many lessons; the most important of all being how fast Couriway can press the escape key (haha).
I’ve gotta say, I didn’t catch most of this stream live, but I sure wish I did. It looks like it was so much fun! I actually showed up right after you died, and I was like ‘welp, this is really poor timing in my part.’ But good job in the streak, I know you’ll get back to this point sometime soon! You got this Couri, we can get back even stronger! Also, interesting trick that I've practiced after a similar situation ended my 243 day hardcore world is whenever there's one or more creepers in a confined space just spam blocks in front of its feet and you'll take much less damage- its hard in the moment, but if you practice quickly placing blocks on the floor and keep some in your hotbar at all times

you genuinely are not just a top top level speedrunner you are so incredibly strong your mental is actually inspiring rewatching the run 70 incident is only a reminder of that even after getting so close and having it all snatched away you bounced back developed a new thought process and its truly incredible and I'm sorry for what's happened recently I wish you all the love and support and I know that after you take as long as you need you will make history once again with this challenge and I can't wait to see it.

This is why you don't run past creepers in this challenge- rng can ruin you if there are dangerous mobs past the creeper.
calculated these blaze rod odds (run 62), it had a 1.2% chance of happening
or 0.7% for that specific number of rods
If you ever get stuck in a portal again like what happened at 10:00 you can stand on one end of the portal and lava the other end to break it

No way! Couriway is alive! I was a bit nervous after that 2 week stream break without a warning beforehand. Also, the chances of having 6 buckets in a fisherman house is 0.020085941%
When you beat this challenge, I have you next one: do the exact same thing, but this time "open to lan" so that you cannot pause.

I find that pressing escape when in a clutch situation fucks with you. On run 68 with the situation of fall damage if you never hit escape I feel like you wouldn't have lost momentum and you would have block clutched half way down the pillar, I understand needing to think things through but I've noticed that hitting escape always makes block clutching and pearl clutching just a little bit harder and less likely. Good luck finishing the challenge!
I think that’s true but a lot of people wouldn’t be able to think fast enough to clutch anyway, so pausing is the next best thing

*spoilers for video lol*
There were only 2 ways that could’ve prevented that creeper death. The first is placing a piece of dirt that was in the hotbar, which would’ve halved the damage or more. The other way is to hit the creeper, which knocks it back just enough to reduce most of the damage.
Creepers’ explosions start from their head, and your feet are where the explosion does the most damage. Placing any block between you and the creeper can save your life!
