I just like BLAT's swagger and his background. this guy is self made. he wasn't raised with lots of money from his Dad. He worked is a** off to get here, his passion is contagious.
Brian, I follow quite a few fishing channels - some for education, some for entertainment and some (like yours) where I get both. You do a phenomenal job of teaching fundamentals AND more advanced techniques all the while making it clear and easy to understand without ever making me feel like you're "dumbing it down" or condescending toward those of us with less experience. I appreciate what you do and how you do it. Thanks for running the best channel of its kind on UA-cam!
I just wanna say Thank You B. Lat. Since watching your channel I have learned so much about fishing as well as just life in general. Keep up the great work and putting out juicy content. I appreciate your hard work.
Not just the frog, but flipping anything up in the shade like that is almost a guarantee bite. That's what 90% of my fishing consists of and it produces fish for sure. Your tips are on point my friend. Keep it up
You have made me such a better fisherman in such a short time it's actually insane. Not just the verbal information, but even watching your methods and techniques and trying to copy it, and the energy. The fish really do sense the energy of the person holding the rod. I have seen it time and time again where the guy who's uptight and overstressed because he isn't catching, isn't catching, and that is no coincidence.
I really appreciate this video. This year I set out to get good with a frog. (still have a long way to go) I find myself picking up my 7'3" MH with DC Curado and 30# test way more then my 7'3" Extra Heavy with 65lb test. its a lot more versatile and I get better hook sets sitting in my Kayak. Awesome video B-lat
I love learning different perspectives and also sometimes you already know things like this but you don’t think about them when it counts and those techniques I haven’t thought of before great video Thanks Mr.B-late
I just started fishing and have always wanted to fish frogs so I’m trying to pull some money together to get one and this video helped me pick one out - thanks
I pick a frog up in late April and do NOT put it down till mid - November. Just like you I skip it into the darkest places I can get it in. There is nothing like hearing the blowup but not being able to see your frog. I use a shorter rod than you but I'm a shorter fella but I also use a MH rod. Awesome video B-Lat!!!
I have the exact same set up except a Lews reel but other than that its exactly the same including the braid line. Its worked for me for 30yrs. I thought I was the only one.
Brian I do the exact same thing. I have a 7ft MH with 30lb braid I use for more open water froggin. Then I have my heavy frog rod with 50lb braid for t ose heavy cover. I think its alot easier to cast the MH setup more accurately when I am casting around trees and docks
Smalls- your killing my wallet!!!! I have picked up every color and size of the walking frog and 3 of the popping frogs. By the end of summer.... I am going to have all of them! Love the frog bite! I use the MH trick also.
Dude, I freaking love your videos! Thanks for making great down-to-earth content. You're one of the main reasons Ive been fishing bass on lakes this year. Keep it up!
Ha B-Lat just pay for my frogs. I'm going to put them to uses with the 7" 2 medium heavy Eagle Claw Rod I purchase couple of months ago. It's about a $80 well $96 rod with a Abu Garcia 7-1-1 reel . Thanks for the information what to look for because it's hot there I know real good bites so I will be working my way around faded cover areas Docs. Again thank you for the videos keep them coming Can't Get Enough it's like being in class again.
Hey man, just subbed and wanted to say thanks for the content. You seem like such a down-to-earth dude and it's easy to feel welcome as I'm learning to fish. 🙌
Just got back into fresh water fishing after 8-10 years. Haven't fished much at all but my boy is getting to the age where it interests him and I couldn't be happier. Been on twice in the past week with our new bunch of Zman plastics and bullets and shroomz. Thrown the whole gambit at them bass with two fully skunked trips. Heading to your store for that frog kit now! Any idea if your chatter kit or MR-6 kit will be back in stock soon? Would love to try both. Seeing you out there with your kiddo inspires me to do the same with mine. Subbed for sure.
Great video I use 7.3 med action with bb1 on frog or or fluke with 30bl braid.. I'm telling yall I can cast that fluke father than a spinning real with bb1.. hint turn off your brake system inside but set your fall right so no huge bird nest, but u will be able to cast a long way on a bb1 (lews)
Oooooo last thing!! If u want to be a great frog fisherman or any any bait. Step 1. Take one rod in boat leave rest home. Not just one day but days. Then u get better at that one bait. Skipping easy way to learn. Get a block or bucket stand on that in drive way and tie on just half oz weight and go at it until u get a hang of it then again take that one rod set up only only and skip until u get it down
Brian, ! That was one of the best vides iv ever watched on UA-cam ! Thanks !!!!! 😎Don't have a boat but going to try this at the boat ramps around Hartwell, n Keowee lakes ! Some good State Parks 😎
I use a 7'3 heavy but it plays like a mh frog rod. I have been using 30 to 40 # braid because it cuts through the pads a lot better then 50 to 65 does.
B-LAT you mentioned using an 8:1.1 reel. For open water I could see that. Are you using that high of a ratio when frog fishing in and round grass. If so doesn't make sense to me. I would be more likely to use let say a 6:3.1. I would want more power to pull the fish out of grass and heavy cover. Really enjoy your videos. Definitely got to get me some of them frog's. Tight lines.
I just like BLAT's swagger and his background. this guy is self made. he wasn't raised with lots of money from his Dad. He worked is a** off to get here, his passion is contagious.
@Ric Bob what?
@Ric Bob wtf kinda drugs are you using?
I wrote a lot, and then I deleted it. They weren't poor, and his folks worked their ah off, and he did also. 🤝🏾🫡

"You can't fake a topwater bite" lol, that was awesome.
💯💯
I just wanna say Thank You B. Lat. Since watching your channel I have learned so much about fishing as well as just life in general. Keep up the great work and putting out juicy content. I appreciate your hard work.
You got a knack for teaching, B. Always thankful for the entertainment and lessons.
Right on my man

That is EXACTLY the same setup I use for open water frogging. You are the first one to say they use this. I love it.
Agree on the lighter rod with braid, great breakdown of how they setup on bank depth changes looking toward the bank 👍
40lb is a great middle ground too.
I really appreciate this video. This year I set out to get good with a frog. Faraway Fishing Learn frogs and jigs and you’ll be set. Both are extremely versatile and both have a history of getting BIG bites!
if you want to try something REALLY fun, try using an actual live frog. they'll catch fish every time
B Latt is a bass assassin. Thanks Brian for sharing your knowledge and experience it continues to improve my bass fishing skills.
I pick a frog up in late April and do NOT put it down till mid - November. Just like you I skip it into the darkest places I can get it in. Thank you. Just moved near Ross Barnett Reservoir, a great frogging lake. This video helped me to start my adventure.
I been fishing the Rez lately. Worth the hour drive from Hattiesburg
Love frog fishing. When they're on it , there's nothing better!
That cast/skip to that bass under that tree was amazing. Separates the men from the boys.
Brian I always like a good video full of info on frog fishing.thanks new to the sport of bass fishing.
Awesome video. Thanks. I like that term you used, “he’s on his way to a belly shirt”
I have learned a lot from this guy since I have been watching him

I use a MH for frogs too. Love the advice!
I just try and soak up all your knowledge man!! I appreciate you sharing
B! Please do a video on how to cast like a sniper. You're killing 'em with those precision cast man!
And half the time he’s looking at the dang camera when he fired it in there.😂👏🏻😂
Practice
Casting plug. Coffee mug. Lake time. Lots of practice !
Great tips about the leg lengths 2 tips I have not ever heard 🤘 shorter legs wider walk & longer legs helps frog not sink 👍
I have the exact same set up except a Lews reel but other than that its exactly the same including the braid line. Its worked for me for 30yrs. I thought I was the only one.

Hey man, just subbed and wanted to say thanks for the content. You seem like such a down-to-earth dude and it's easy to feel welcome as I'm learning to fish. 🙌
Quality info!!! That’s a whole lot betta than a bunch of hooksets!
Thank you B…👍🏻
Lol.. I use a 6'8" medium with 15lbs braided line.. I have now issue setting the hook...
Thanks for info Brian
That cast was beautiful.
Going to switch out #30 for the #65 on my frogging/flipping setup. My fisheries are similar, good tip!!
Good Info! Thanks B Lat!!!

That was awesome. I like these breakdown videos.

I like throwing frog on wood lined banks. Areas I'd throw a jig i have a frog in line up next.
@15:38 - Give that bass a raise, perfect timing! Love your videos B, learn a lot from you. THANKS!!
I mean really!

B lat the GOAT!!
Thanks Brian. Is action the most important component in a frog rod??
I like the zman frogs very easy to walk but I noticed after a few fish the eyes get knocked out
Hi BLat. I love your videos man. Keep up the great work!
You're an awesome teacher Brian, thanks a ton man!
Brian, ! That was one of the best vides iv ever watched on UA-cam ! Thanks !!!!! 😎Don't have a boat but going to try this at the boat ramps around Hartwell, n Keowee lakes ! Some good State Parks 😎

Go gettem 1 stick Nick! You are great!
Any and all frog fishing tips get my attention, and those were great tips. I hope you paid that stunt double Bass well, he was right on que, Lol.
I use a 7'3 heavy but it plays like a mh frog rod. I have been using 30 to 40 # braid because it cuts through the pads a lot better then 50 to 65 does.
My new favorite channel
Good luck trying to find certain frogs. Always enjoy your videos
Awsome Vid B!
(Right on Que) LMAO!!
Yesterday was my first frog fish.
2ft of water
5 pounder
10 lbs of grass
7.1" Mh

Do you ever fish Keowee river with the frog?
Great vid!
Its offical. New favorite fishing buddy.
Funny man with great 🐸 info and scary powerful biceps.
Hello Mr. Latt,
Do you guide on San.T.EE.....?
Suffix 832 or J braid or Seaguar smack down for frogs
New fan - love the vids

Great Video. Was this on Hartwell?
I learn more from you than I did in college lol
Uh oh!!!
Nice bait and man it’s hot In Anderson/ Belton today
The man speaks the truth. Heck yea. Sweet man
HEY! GREAT videos. Got a question. I was given some colored line what do you thank about this type line?
B-LAT you mentioned using an 8:1.1 reel. For open water I could see that. Are you using that high of a ratio when frog fishing in and round grass. If so doesn't make sense to me. I would be more likely to use let say a 6:3.1. I would want more power to pull the fish out of grass and heavy cover. Really enjoy your videos. Definitely got to get me some of them frog's. Did you train that fish to bite on cue?
Love the vids keep up the good work.
Honestly thought I was the only guy who preferred a MH rod for frogging. Good to hear that's not the case.
Penn regiment heavy rod
40 lb j braid 8x
River2sea bully wa 2
I'm setting the hook on them around 80% of the time.
😂😂😂 was that on queue? Great video! I used a 7’ MH to catch fish. Glad to hear someone else doesn’t use a 8’ heavy heavy stick.
Love how you just cast with the lefthand like its a breeze
You and me both lol
For real
I'm saying! It's def not as easy as he makes it look.. I've got to practice more with my left
I would bird nest and be hung up in a tree
Joe Brinson
If I didn’t have the whole rod slung in the water first
That makes sense
What name brand of line you use for braid
