The unison of "NO!" at 6:42 really shows just how goated Minus One is as a movie, that it makes everyone scream in horror for the apparent loss of Noriko.
It made me cry that the japanese could FINALLY do this. Godzilla literally is the representation of the atomic bombs dropped there and they legally couldn't make a movie on it so hence, Godzilla. My heart goes out.
I don't know if Google's translation is wrong and it's translated as (finally), but the path that minus one already took is the path that the first one took. The Japanese people's fear and hatred of the atomic bomb has already been expressed, even if the agony of the suicide attackers is different. Of course, other Godzillas have also depicted it.
@@jf_kein_k8590 He means a literal, physical application of legitimate atomic breath. Godzilla portrayed the mood, yes. Minus one literally shows us that. And its an extremely powerful visual the more you think about it. When i watched it in theaters during this scene i swear it was deadly quiet and everyone understood the visual application of this.
I had the privilege of seeing this on opening day in Tokyo. Packed theater. Despite the lack of subtitles, I was HOOKED the entire time. Especially during this scene. A true edge of your seat experience.
When this movie dropped in theaters, my family went and seen it. What we didn’t know was that it was the last day in black and white and in Japanese so it was a real shock. When the atomic breath scene happened, the theater speakers were insane!
why are they asking why they´re not running from the explosion? do they think there´s any point in running from that? these people are really good at asking dumb questions in general
I am Japanese, and the reason Japan, which has experienced nuclear attacks, does not have nuclear shelters is because we know the destructive power of nuclear weapons.
The atomic breath of this Godzilla along with the atomic breath of the movie version "Shin Godzilla" (I don't know if you've seen that movie, it's good too) are the most incredibly destructive versions of that attack they've made, but I like it better that of Godzilla Minus One, especially because it takes "atomic breath" to the literal, since it creates an explosion very similar to an atomic bomb, devastating an entire large city in seconds, even the blue fire has so much power that before impacting and exploding destroys small buildings, completely crazy, they did a very good job with this version of the iconic monster. This was another great reaction mashup BATsy reacts! 👍
It's funny how they recreated some scenes for this movie like the part of Godzilla's attack on the train where in the original (1954) film the train drivers screamed when they saw Godzilla right before the lead car slammed into Godzilla's left foot and when he attacked the train in this film it was right after he threw or kicked what looked like a bus or another train car into the path of the train Noriko was on and we watched him walk over and bend down and bite into the train lifting it up off of the tracks before biting down on it crushing the car that was hanging in between his jaws and dropping it into the water behind Noriko.
I like hearing the Godzilla March being played in this movie but man it sure would have been awesome to hear the original score played and I mean the score that was played in the (1954) film and heard again in Shin Godzilla that started playing when Shin evolved into his third form.
It's been stated that Godzilla's skin is so hard and so thick that it is hundreds or even thousands of times harder than steel and acts like organic armor plating it's like what Colonel Mark Grayson said in the movie Reptilicus 'Those Bony scales are like armor plate'.
Idk why some of them are laughing at the destruction that’s been made. For me it was not funny at all bc it’s literally showing us those poor poor souls running from the thing America dropped on them.😢
The horrifying part is that the atomic breath and mushroom cloud was to visualize what the bombing would've looked like when they fell on japan just pure force of atomic energy.
😳 Goddamn dude! Uhh……well, I mean alright then. I can honestly say that it never even occurred to me that I could like, legitimately get “jump scared” by Godzilla’s Atomic Breath 🤦♀️ I mean like seriously tho…of all things, that’s what got me?🤨 Not a roar oss…NO…it had to be the freaking Atomic Breath ffs!? Do you mean the mushroom cloud explosion or what with "Finally"?
Cause the original from 1954 portrayed the mood pretty well already.

Yeah it's a literal nuke, utterly impossible to run away from. The shockwave is absolutely massive and fast.
Seriously. They're Japanese citizens in 1947, they know exactly what that explosion was.

Godzilla’s atomic breath in this masterpiece of a Godzilla movie is beyond iconic and destructive. Once again everyone’s reactions are on point.

It can do that to big buildings as well. Also that nuclear explosion had to be stronger than city level.
