- This is a 2 story Art deco/waterfall style villa with awesome details, fixtures and colors inside that scream 1930`s through to the late 50`s. This has been abandoned for about 9 years it seems and has already had some salvage started to it. It is unclear exactly what the fate of this large block is as it is. Take a look with me at what hopefully will not be lost forever.
The old Xpelair fan in the window is 1940/50s and very rare and collectible in fan circles. That is a beautiful house - I adore Art Deco design. What a great tour
& it's old music makes me cry feeling it's blessed memories, congested as am I. COPD me...
Blue moon blessed energy... Energizes from w/in Wow!!!
Let my shoulders roll as I breathe out 💖
Old spirit am I.
Blessings brother & hugs 4 sharing... Love your impeccable style!!!
Thanks for up-building my 2 sad spirit spring 2019! Love with forehead kisses & 1930s music playing... 💖💖💖
I love all the pink in this house. Would love to have a pink bathroom like the one in this house. The pink tiles are beautiful.
Now this one was a real cool one to explore also Patricia, very different and heaps of interiors to peek at. Pink was a consitant theme in here haha :-)
Love this. Loved art deco since a kid helping sell antiques in the family store. In that era people were very creative with entertainment activities. Restaurants didn't have the huge draws all at once nor the laws we have today. It's possible to run in just a large kitchen for the time the cooking. Just like special home cooking. We certainly don't get that sort of cooking at home much anymore. Makes me hungry for that real food!
Love the old music, it goes with the old houses. Great Video thanks.
Had to put some vintage period tunes with this one Vicky! glad you enjoyed :-)
Omg the fireplace is incredible!
I love that you add era-style music to your videos
I just sold my club lounge today so what a coincidence! I love the art deco style. I love rounded walls and that booth seat is amazing. Pink and black in the bathroom looks great. The music was a bit of a tear jerker for me, reminded me of my dad. Enjoyed this one a lot. :)
I enjoyed watching this video plus the music just added the extra touch to, it's such a beautiful find ✨ greetings from 🇨🇦
Hi Ulysse thanks for watching! :-) Yeah I was really intrigued with this place, do not get many like this sitting around vacant/abandoned. Heaps of interior features. :-)
Carpet on the walls of stairwell. Mirrors at the top. Chandeliers everywhere. I think this house will take some interesting stories with it when it goes. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Susan I was just over in this place again a week ago and filmed it again, it has had a lot of smashed windows and the chandeliers have been ripped off the ceilings. No graffiti just idiots!!!! The sheds out the back were all open this time though! This one is up for demo too..........
You have been one of a few go to utubers for a good video! You never disappoint 😂
Thanks for your support Cynthia, much appreciated and Im glad you enjoy them! Cheers! :-)
Ever since I watched your very first video it’s been interesting and addictive and I’ve been watching ever since love watching
Hi Mel :-) Thanks heaps for the kind support and for watching so long! :-)
😭FFS! we are meant to be custodians of our pat not destroy it, such a gem, love the windows and the kitchen . Thankyou your time on filming this
This is probably one of my favorites. It is collectic which I like. Love the port hole windows on door. Love the glass in the kitchen cabinets. I would not change a thing. Just scrub it up, add fresh coats of paint in the rooms and move in. Thanks for the video.
I agree Debra, one of my favs too but unfortunately it has become very trashed now.....prob demo soon i`d say. Glad you enjoyed thanks for watching :-)
So many cool Art Deco homes where you are. I really love them.
Wow you find the most amazing places so fascinating
Hi Megan :-) I was able to confirm that yes this place was one a brothel and then an elite taxi service was run here as well last in 2009-10. Thanks for watching :-)
Awesome Art Deco house should be heritage listed, would have been built by a wealthy person back in the day. Fitting music there buddy nice touch well done.I think it may have been used as a brothel going by the red curtains ,would be good to see the exterior love the curved facades on these homes ,very cool find cheers mate.🍻👍
Hey Roysta! Cheers mate I enjoyed finding the old music for this one, It needed some period music to go with it. A few people have stated they think it was a private exclusive dining and entertaining club for select clientele. I think that fits. Has the exit lights and mirrors. Prob had a little cocktail bar upstairs too. Pretty cool. :-)
Very interesting explore. The chandeliers were so beautiful! Thanks for showing this place and for the music. 👍🏻
Hey Shirley thanks for stopping bye! Yes this is one of my favorite explore! I do not come across many unique old places like this. Heaps to look at. Glad you enjoyed it too! :-)
Weird for me to say this...but kinda glad that the salvaging people took most of the fixtures and whatever else in the building and all. Rather than having vandals tear the poor place apart.
still really neat. Would be nice for it to be restored or renovated.
Yeah in that respect I also agree MrOnyxWolf. Hopefully someone actually does something to restore it. :-)
Hi, I am from Ohio, USA. I loved the rounded windows and the chandeliers. I have no idea what it could have been used for. Enjoyed the video and the music you used for it. Thanks.
Hey Rachel thanks for watching! Yeah this place is a combo of the 50`s and Art deco! I love the old art deco stuff too! Cheers! :-)
Beautiful retro place. I wonder if it was used as a private club because of the exit signs. Maybe for private parties. Did notice a mattress in every room suggests squatters. Thanx for a very interesting vid!!!
Gerald I think that is the best explanation for this place yet! Indeed a private party and function venue!!!!! Love it. It explains all the things inside including the mirrors on the stairs. The exit sign on the first stair landing too. Quick evacuation for many people this suggests by law. Definitely been some people using it for a shelter or stop off point. Thanks for watching :-)
I love the deco and pink bathroom. Not much of a restaurant to me, with the astrology magazines, maybe tarot card readings, and a brothel? Not sure, everything about it is not what it seems. No menus? it was a small business. I like the stairs and that fireplace. Someone was staying there, I quickly saw a can, of some sort on the floor next to the chair near the fireplace.
Cute video, love the the added music.💕
Hey Elizabeth I was able to find out that this place was used as a taxi service home based operation. The large yard used to have all the cabs parked there and the staff would have to use the bottom floor thus the exit signs required for a business. This was up til 2010 then it was rented for a year, then vacant/abandoned. Built 1955. Thanks for watching :-)
As a child I remember when this house was built, it had pine trees & a pool out front, when the transport department decided to expand Anzac Highway they brought most of the house for the expansion, the previous owners were not allowed to take any fixtures from the house only their personal belongings, over the years I had seen a cyclone fences around the front of the abandoned house,
It's used to be holiday rental house I remember a sign that used to be by the front gate, & every time we drove past it in summer the were always family's sitting around the pool & kids swimming,,,, gee I envied them....lol
Wow!!!!!! I love hearing snippets of info just like this regarding any of these old places! Cheers!!! There are several others I have on the channel that are on Anzac Highway and there will be many more!!!!! lol
Wow!!!!!! I love hearing snippets of info just like this regarding any of these old places! Cheers!!! There are several others I have on the channel that are on Anzac Highway and there will be many more!!!!! lol
Another beautiful home that has been lost forever. I really love this one. So sad.
What a lovely
place. Love the pink bathroom!
Hi Stephanie, this place is still one of my favorite explores! Such a unique place, glad you enjoyed it too! Cheers for watching :-)
I remember this place!! Anzac hwy from memory. Next door to another similar place named "Beverley"
Hi Kris, yes that's the one mate 👍🙂 Cheers for watching 👍😁
Great to see an Art Deco building, don't see many of them. My only thought is that I don't think it is being salvaged, it is being robbed. Salvagers would have gone after the frig and the curved booth not torn them up. Thieves take plumbing and wire and easy to move items. It is odd that those good ladders were left though. Maybe the thieves just got to some things before the salvagers showed up! I agree the bathrooms are amazing and whatever its use, it is a WOW. It would be great fun to fix and then live in.
Yeah you could be right here Jan Ramey. Robbers will use ladders to get up in the ceilings to get wire also ans search for hidden money and stuff. Thanks for watching :-)
thanks for the fantastic explore. i really enjoy how u take your time so we can see everything. this house is so beautiful. perfect art deco with a few interior updates.i can't imagine what it was, unless it was a small club or b&b. the kitchen doesn't look industrial enough for a restaurant. thank you for sharing. keep safe & God bless :) :)
Hey Nancy this is my favorite explore I think, so unique and not something I will come across very often i`m sure. I have fallen for the Art Deco era, I knew not much about it when I first started this exploring :-)
Very interesting place. Love the architectural details. Can’t figure out what this place was. Love your music!!
Hey Sofia thanks for stopping bye! :-) Yes this was once a very posh home but also served as something more than that, I cannot decide what it was yet either. :-)
Love art deco very sad to see it destroyed
Hey Schmooie kittie! Thanks for watching, yes so do I and this is still one of my fav explores! :-)
Love that front door!!😍😍
So wonderful! Think it was residential to begin with, and then converted. The countertops in the kitchen are So Cool, and nicely complimented by the upper cabinets with sliding glass doors. The curved walls with curved glass so streamlined!Personal Fave An Awesome Front door with three portholes! The Classical niches and ceiling medallions don't seem original to me, although vintage not the right style, but hey there's no accounting for taste, seems the originals would have been chrome and streamlined, and very uniquely designed especially for the space! Great Explore!
Hi Robyn, this is still one of my Fav`s! :-) A local viewr was able to comment that she knew one of the former owners and he was a gentleman who owned and ran an Elite taxi service and parked the taxis in this huge yard and lived there. He also had one of his drivers living there with his Girlfriend downstairs. This was 20-30 years ago. It does eem to be a mix of beautiful eras! Thanks for watching and Im glad you enjoyed Robin :-)
Love this place. Will probably be replaced by one of those soulless buildings that are all squares made of grey lego.
I really hope someone keeps it the way it is. It is on a large block too so I hope a big developer does not put a supermarket on top of it. :-)
I live a couple streets from here and about 20 years ago there were lots of taxis parked in the yard like a taxi hub. It would have been a stately home in the early years and then rented out to businesses in the end, maybe 70's on? Yes anything with rounded windows and walls like that is art deco, built between the world wars 1920's - 1930's.
This is a good one Urbex! You would know the really cool art deco townhouse complex a few doors down from this one which is really high end and really well maintained, I've been inside a couple when they were for sale and they are beautiful. I hope the whole property is heritage listed, it's looks straight out of old Hollywood, Bette Davis time :-) Oh yeah and now this one has graffiti ALL over the front upstairs window, surely ear marked for demolition
Hi kukkaFeatures :-) Thanks for watching, your right for sure as I had a look at the older google maps images and there were a lot of taxis in the yard, elite I think. Yep this site is ear marked for a huge development and will be gone soon. Glad I explored it when it was still ok condition as now everything is tagged and smashed to pieces! That art deco complex I wish I have seen, I do like art deco! :-) In fact I will let you in on a little secret......up Anzac Hwy towards the city just before officeworks on the left there is an old iconic art deco building, 4 units in one. I`m the last tennant in there renting, that whole block including the older homes behind are on hold as developers are in on the game of proposals.......a few years back it was nearly redeveloped too! Bummer :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 oh yes I know the property, so cool, I hope they don't demolish, imagine if it was restored to it's former glory! Thanks for replying, love your work Urbex, keep up the good fight
It sure is, right next to where that entire block got demolished, same side. :-)
I think house is now government owned as a child I remember when it was a built, their used to be a pool in the front & when they extended Anzac Highway the house was brought by the government for the road extensions along with heaps of other house
@@shadowfinder6662 Hi Shadowfinder :-0 Thanks for watching, yes this place is in bad shape now, vandals got to it, it is up for redevelopment too. SO cool that you can remember this being built!!! :-0 I would love to have seen Anzac Hwy when all the character homes were still standing! :-)
Pretty awesome home.
It siure is Valerie, classic 50`s now about to be demo. Cheers for watching :-)
Nice video, this house seems to be in pretty good shape structure wise, I'll buy this house it is beautiful, I also love the chandeliers in there, they are gorgeous.
If I had the money Deneen I would buy it! :-) Hehe I would put a bar up on the top floor! :-)
I used to live very close to that house, hope it gets a reno one day
Hi Helen :-) Always great to see a local commenting :-0 I still live right near it and it is up for redevelopment and has been grafitti`d too unfortunately . Another art deco one lost. Cheers for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 I lived in Fourth Ave from 1987 to 2005, the traffic was insane so I moved down south. It's sad to see all these homes go, thank you for getting them on video before they're gone forever.
A home at one time, then I think it was some kind of club? Nice place!
Yep, I do now think it was a private club for entertaining small to medium parties. There were toilets at the rear of the building also. Coll place for a party! :-)
I think it wasn't a restaurant because the kitchen is small for a restaurant.
What a awesome house!! Too bad it isn't being restored.
Hey Sharon! Yes indeed but who knows, maybe someone will do something soon as use it again. :-)
This is a great find! 😻
Hey Nancy this is still one of my favorites!!!! Cheers for watching :-)
Awesome house great music
Lovely location, great video👊👍
Cheers guys!!!! :-)
Could have been a B&B, due to the locks on the bedroom doors and the relatively small kitchen?
Yep definitely more along those lines than a restaurant now I`v seen more of your guys comments. A few have suggested even a small private club for entertaining small parties. Thanks for watching Mim Star :-)
Urbex Indigo You have a great channel, thanks for posting your videos! Xx
I'm going with a B&B too, but a sort of hybrid that occasionally was used for public events so were required to have the exit sign to be code.
Would love to own that house and live in it thanks great video
Hey Shirley this is still one of my favourites, love this one, unique and I like art deco themes. I think this one will also meet a nast fate of demolition due to the huge lot it sits on......Cheers for watching :-)
Had to have been built as a home (just lovely--all those windows and rounded walls:) but then a small business could have been run out of it, but probably not a restaurant because the kitchen is too small and ill-equipped for that. The sign upstairs indicates that it was used as a business space, and therefore being sold as that again.
I miss these lines of these rooms. They add so much to the personality of these homes. Modern is just too boring. I like the clean look it's just that the boxy look leaves it too cold. That table and bench was awesome.
A really cool old house. Thanks for the explore. Just wondered if you are a carpenter in real life....you love wood so much.
Great video!
My guess is a knocking shop 😆 UK term I think
Hi Amanda, yes I tend to agree haha, thanks for watching :-)
Hi Joey Great video ### How do you find such interesting abandon property's ... i know you have a natural built -in homing devise ## What ever you're incredible "mar mate" ## I can't see this place being " a knockin shop" not proper maybe some rich guy's play area way back .. then modernised in the time from 20s up to say the 90s ## i believe its been many venues in its history### "oh to be a fly on the wall" to see all the inside story's of all your abandoned places the conversations.. Christmas and birthday party's... Joey you find the most wonderful and interesting places .. music is most fitting to all videos " thanks Joey" Where i live Beverly Hills CA we have no such places Yeah there are 1920##1930s property's most demand well over million $ ... all i have is crinkly old Sheilah's with purple colored hair butt n tuck back sides belly hitch. ups double chins pulled up and pinned behind their ears so they have this permanent grin on their faces .. Also nearly forgot lips god knows why but they look like trout outta of water mmmmm thing is Joey they are all millionairess drive drop=head mercs = Rollers=Bentleys Lambos Bugatti's they cruise Beverly Hills down town lookin for toyboys## Sh#t im 77 take's time these days to get the engine up an running then it runs out of juice before the final hurdle AHAH ahhhhhhhhhhhhg memory's memory's..## gorra have a laugh or you'd cry ya bloody eyes out Jokin apart some of our ladies are crackin lookers.. one lady i know is late 70s to look at her you would say early 60s on more.. very glamorous ex film actress "yeah" Joey seeya mar mate keep em comin all the best.........Ed
Hahaha that was fantastic reading your comments just then Ed, good on ya! Haha. The old Trout pout hey! There are a few over here too but not as many and silicone valley! lol. Yeah this place is just up the road from me, been keeping an eye on it and making sure it was unused before I tried my luck. Glad I was able to video it but I really hope it does not get trashed or graffiti`d! I think your right with it being a bit of a play house for some rich bachelor. Maybe a private club for entertaining a select clientele. Thanks for watching mate! :-)
The house looks fantastic on the outside! That medallion, chandelier and fireplace were gorgeous. The round room with the round built in seating was straight out of the 50s along with the front door, you would see doors like that entering drugstores or soda fountains. Those shelves with the glass fronts are making a big comeback here in America. What an entranceway! Another rounded room! They sure liked medallions and chandeliers in all the rooms. As they would say in the 40s and 50s, pastels made us feel “happy and gay”. The kitchens in those days looked pretty much alike. In Art Deco homes of course. The sectional couch looks quite nice. I would have loved to have a rounded bedroom when I was growing up.
Built 1955 mate so yep those are classic 50`s interiors you mentioned and the outside is Art deco for sure! This place is up for development now too, so it will be gone also soon! Bummer. Thanks for watching :-)
Loved the inocencts of the era.
Hey Allen thanks for watching! Yes these homes are not the normal ones I come across although the next one i`m uploading is along the same styles and era only it is a single story home. :-)
Hi Joey thanks for my comment reply.. Yeah look forward to your silicone valley video that would be a grand=daddy of em all ... Just got home from a trip to England fantastic got to a place called Cornwall stayed at Carbis Bay = St Ives spent the 4th of July with some folks from Connecticut== fancy dress barbecue costume for me Elvis "who else man" == wig sideburns suntan the costume he wore in Los Vegas "oh wella wella baby" "mumble mumble" .. yeah had a great time in the UK..weather California style really hot... people very friendly .. found eating out expensive comparing the dollar=to the = pound...Joey see=ya mar mate keep safe now.....................Ed
Your trip away sounds like you had a great time! Dressed as "THE KING" even better! "Thankyou very much".....lol I have heard of Cornwall but never been over there. Most of the towns and suburbs in Australia are actually taken from England`s names so I have heard of them. :-)
Like the music. Any link for that music?
Found my dream bathroom!
Am I correct that windows were painted over in some rooms ? As someone who been told by a mate who’s been in hundreds of brothels , that looks very much like it’s been a brothel .
Hi Wizard Sleeve thanks for watching, yes those front windows were painted and rather crudely too lol. That was why I though brothel, but I do recall a local saying it was a private club back in the day too.
Lovely light fittings, art deco celling roses. business like use with the exit box light. Needs a big skip for all the rubbish left by the last owners. needs clearing out, and put up for sale
Still one of my favorites explores William. This place is very run down now and more things broken and taken. Will be demolished also for new developemrnt.
i like those chandeliers..
The kitcken reminded me of the dispickable me moive they had the same layout.
This is one of my fav explores still Elaine :-) It too unfortunately will be demolished soon..... Thanks for watching
Didnt this one burn down in the end?
It does look 50s style, but a nice house. for someone rich.
Looks like an old fashion “gentleman’s club”...
Particularly dislike the coloured ceiling roses tho... but it would have been done to suit the decor that was prob there in its time
Pity can’t see what it looked like fully done
What a beautiful home. Could of been a halfway house?
Hey Leeanne that could be very possible, I never thought of that. Very flash interior though. Maybe the the families over the years did a of entertaining. Exits lights mean a business i`m thinking.
Yes Exit lights sure do make it more like a business. Great content again.
I don't the kitchen was big enough to manage a restaurant. Maybe fancy business offices. 🤷♀️💜👩🇺🇲
Where is this??
This one is in Adelaide Australia mate. Cheers for watching :-)
Waw sound like car driving from outside in pandemi like this very important for doing self quarantine and if you have children what will you have to give for you're legacy's
Linda casa. Mas não é só o brasileiro que vandaliza e destrói.
i think it could have been a houes of ill repute going by all the bedrooms shaz
They destroy these buildings and put a McDonalds or KFC instead. Totally crazy.
Knocking shop. (Sorry, massage shop, haha). Exit signs for legalities of a business premises.
Hey Spiderman! Yeah it seems to be a biz or was at some point. I def could imagine it a massage parlor :-) Thank for watching
This place has curb appeal galore but I have to say that I wasn't a fan of the inside. Some parts were great but on the whole the layout was confusing to me.
Hi Kilo, yeah I think they really tinkered with the interiors too much :-)
It looks like a private club to me.
I wonder if maybe a private club like are in all the old movies wnere men went to play cards, discuss business, smoke cigare and get away from their wives.
Hey Elizabeth I do think you are right, it seems to have that art deco club feel, built in 1955 so it has a blend of late Art deco and the classic 50`s. Unique kind of place, thanks for watching :-)
No cobwebs
Yeah! If Indigo ever makes it big and has merch, the logo totally should be "No cobwebs!" and have a big stick on it
Looked like someone was squatting in that place.
Hey JoJo B thanks for watching, yes I too noticed some cans of food opened and the blue chair with the rug was a bit of a give a way. At least they were there to sleep and not vandalize. :-)
Probably more of a private club, don't see a whole lot of space for restaurant seating.
I like your videos, but you go over the same room and it's contents too many times. I find myself saying, "Ok. Seen it. Move on! " won't stop me from watching though.
Haha yeah my earlier ones Dianna I was adding montages which did revisit the entire home again, cheers for watching :-)
Trust in Jesus.
bra, did you see the mirrors yeah it's a ↓↓↓
There's a timeline there. The original was probably built in the 1940's with a major refresh in the mid 80's. There are hold-overs, the Sectional settee was period correct, the Porthole door was as well. The style was mid-century modern. The cooker in the kitchen was straight out of 1968, the orbital clock with the digital display is classic. would have cost a truckload of money even then. The kitchen counter cabinets are so fifties it hurts. the pink & Black tiles are dead out of 1955, but the fixtures are new style That place would be a museum display here. Wonder who designed that? somebody important I bet. Wonderful find.
Hey Gary thats awesome knowledge and thanks for taking the time with it. I could only really be sure of the counter cabinets and booth style eating area as being 50`s the rest I was trying my best to squeeze into Art deco haha. The building from outside looks very Art deco to me. Chandeliers not so much Art deco though but very retro...Thanks for watching mate :-)
Beautiful find, my favorite colors are pink and red but, that was way too much pink even for me lol I get that was the style for way back in those days and probably would've had my own home done with it lol chandeliers were absolutely gorgeous. All in all a super find!!
Maybe someone ran a business in there & entertained his or hers clients there. Or someone had it as their home & truned it into a small eatery to make ends meet.
Nice find. I really liked the music.
Hello from Canada! Just discovered your channel and this was the first video I've watched. As a huge urbex fan, I really appreciate how thoughtful you are of your viewers. Slow pans from floor to ceiling are very much appreciated. The pace of the exploration made me feel like I was there, taking my time exploring that amazing house. Gained a follower today!
Hey Jo Chev thanks so much for watching and supporting! Glad you enjoyed this one. Yes I now really enjoy taking the time do some decent video capture. Was a bit rushed in my first few vids hahaha. Hope to see you in the comments somewhere again. Cheers from Australia :-)
Cathy Reardon
Viewed the home with the pink bathroom, which I've seen in other homes you have shown. I personally would rather have the blue. The pink reminds me of a medicine in the U. S. when I was about 8 years old. It was called Pepno Bismal for upset stomaches. I am now 71 years old now. Believe me it did not taste very good.😝 I probably misspelled the first word .🥞🥞🤭In
.Oh
Man I love that front door!
What a beautiful place it must have been! I love Art Deco! Thanks!
Hey Bayla! I love Art Deco too! :-) Would love to see the history of what this was and how it was used. Been a few things in the past I feel.
nice place. Love the iron railing around the stairs. The kitchen didn't seem industrial enough for a restaurant. Be a great place to fix up
Hey mate thanks for stopping bye, yeah I hope someone does something with this and keeps it in form. Gerald made a great point that he feels it was used as a private club and entertaining venue. I think I agree. :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Maybe a brothel in it's last incarnation? I agree with mkuebler5 the kitchen is too dated to be used in a commercial sense.Love both you guys and your work, keep it up.
Wow what a magnificent home. Wouldn’t it be beautiful renovated What a shame
Wow I know exactly where this is! Always wondered what it looked like inside. Great video thanks for documenting the place and I’ve subscribed! 👍
Hehe thats good Dave, I have been keeping an eye on it for a long time to make sure no one was using it or living there. Great eye mate, thanks for watching :-)
I'm surprised the chandeliers are still there.
What a cool building , looks like it may have been a brothel , realy liked the tile work and the ceilings.cool vid
That's what I was originally thinking but now I'm more towards bed n brekkie place.
I thought it looked like a brothel too lol😅
Just wanted to add that I simply love the plaster molds on the ceilings for the chandeliers! Absolutely beautiful!
They are a nice touch and really set the mood for the other rooms as you walk through. Must have been a venue for sure at one point, what sort of venue I guess we can only speculate :-)
Wow, awesome home, to bad they're letting that one go, it would be another fantastic home. These vintage homes should be preserved, not demolished. Thanks for taking so much time with this one, well worth it.
Thanks Evelyn, I don`t get many flash ones like this so I wanted to show it off a bit haha. I hope someone does something with it and keeps it vintage. :-)
Oh my word. Love this house, I want it☺️ I am crazy over art deco.
Hey Vanda Human thanks for watching, yes this is a unique place, really glad I was able to film this place, not too many left like it. :-)
May be it was simply owned by someone who loved a lot of color! I found it to be interesting!😁👍👩🏭🕊️❤️
Awesome video love the art deco beautiful fireplace thank you for sharing.
What a crazy quilt of architectural styles! Everything from the '20s through the '90s. Love the pink tub and surround. I don't see it as a restaurant because, as another commenter said, the kitchen is way too small. It doesn't have the vibe of a brothel at all, either (though the carpet on the walls and mirrors everyplace are what every wannabe ladies' man in the 70's would've wanted for his pad). Maybe a bed and breakfast? Nice explore, nice and slow 👏🏼😻
Thanks Kathy! Yep I tend to agree now after reading the various comments. A small private club for entertaining small parties could fit very well also. It certainly has various themes going on! :-)
is this entire area abandoned ? looks to have been built in the 30's ? were the taxes too high ? there are houses like this here in the states esp deco - they are highly prized and have been restored and updated. why the wholesale abandonment?
Hi kaiserbill5711 thanks for watching. Yeah this area has a lot of redevelopment going on at the moment so maybe the price was right for the owner to let it go. Such a place to be sitting in limbo with salvage started in my opinion means it has no plans for restoration? If someone does own it maybe they have ran out of money and decided to let it sit. Either way it is a shame . Glad I got to look inside.
Beautiful fireplace & built ins and home. Details in the there are fantastic. Awesome place...
Thanks for watching Marlo :-) Yes this place was nice to see, hope someone does something with it and does not rebuild on it.
Yes I bet that place was stunning in it's original days, before someone guady-ed it up with 70s decor.
I would love to have seen these beautiful old homes in their heyday. I bet they were owned by well to do people.
Yes I think these ones were owned by well to do Dorothy, One of my favorites still this one is. :-)
Once again the lounge suite and the recliner could have been picked up by one of our charities, the crockery etc could have been donated as well. The mantle in the lounge room is magnificent, lovely chandeliers altogether a beautiful house, especially the bathroom.
I think it was a home and they just wanted to be in the times of things and different.
