I'm so glad to see Anduin again, looking for adventure not because he has to, but because he's interested. Like in Pandaria. I'm also glad that he hasn't changed much: still an altruist, still doesn't listen warnings, still feels responsible for others. Yes, he is depressed, unsure of himself, and sometimes began to lose his temper. But Anduin is still Anduin. I hope he keeps his smart ass diplomacy. By the way, the music is divine.

Nobody told you to go to Westfall, you traveled on your own, when you decided you were strong enough and left when you thought you were strong enough for the next zone. To top it off, no lore characters held your hand, nor did you travel with npcs for the story. Now? Yes its a new world but it still feels small because its going to feel like a ride rather than an adventure, going place to place like a planned route. You travel with lore important characters that talk talk talk but never show anything. I promise you this girl with the lost arm with badass armor is going to do NOTHING except get hit once or be like “we will hold this front adventurer go to xyz” so the inclusion of the character is worthless filler dump just to include lore in the world instead of us creating / discovering it ourselves. Take Westfall for example no NPC needed a voice actor or story to tell us the farmers’ crop machines were going crazy and killing people. Or how Vancleef had his base set in the Deadmines. It was in quests yeah but i didn’t need to waste probably 10 mins listening to a characters story and why xyz is happening, it happened naturally through quests and *gasp* adventuring on our own. Thats what made the world big. This again felt like just a small info dump ride on rails A defias mage felt more dangerous than the giant sword. What sword? Who cares about the sword? How does it effect the gameplay, the game feel? My character? It doesn’t. Vs the defias pillager mage. We FEARED that npc and we have fond memories of it because it was memorable, a challenge, a threat, and served a purpose to show that deadmines wasn’t your average zone. I promise you these new “titan monsters” or void creatures we will kill in a few hits in the outside world i’m sure.
its just an expansion on the lore, not necessarily a retcon. All humans are descendants of Vrykul. The humans we know of are, a part of what "we" call the Arathor Empire. These Arathi we see in TWW are an earlier splinter of the human tribes. They are led by a Light Emperor. The name Lothar is just that, a name. Our proximity to what we know as the Lothars makes us think characters have to be closely related. It's fully plausible the earlier splinter of the human tribes had Lothars who may or may not be related to who "we" know as Lothars. Also have to keep in mind this is a huge powerful empire. I won't spoil beta but I'm sure they are trying to help set up WoW post world soul saga. In dragon flight there's a text that basically explains there's a whole nother side of Azeroth we don't know about because the Titans hide certain things from us for their own reasons. ( I don't recall the text but I'll come back and link it) Further goes to show we will encounter this Arathi empire of half human, half elf, light driven peoples soon.
Then Calia takes over the Horde. Next expansion - the menstrual war. We will be removing all men from the game because they bad. :'( pls buy our DEI product

Faerin’s voice actor fits a child or a high elf character. Faerin looks like she should be a bold voiceed character like one of the orc female warriors in MoP. Her character design made me think she’d sound like a warrior.

It's like the name Kennedy, not everyone is in JFK's family line, John Kennedy of Louisiana isn't, but he's a Kennedy. Maybe somewhere in the distant past, but not anywhere near now. Lothar has to be the same way, it's got some other family histories out there somewhere, she's never said she was kin to Anduin Lothar, she didn't even know the name. Tbf it makes sense to give her a simple haircut (this coming from someone who would have loved to see an intricate hairstyle on a black character). From her characterization so far she's someone who's quick to jump into the fray (and having long hair can be really annoying/inconvenient on a battlefield full of dust, bugs, blood & gore), she's missing an arm so maintenance would be more difficult, and it actually goes well with the scars on her face (one on her right side, just below her haircut; makes sense she'd make it symmetrical). I get why some people were anxious about her character before alpha started (what with the girlboss trend that literally has women just be assholes 24/7 with no character progression and claims it's empowering) but she's been awesome from the first quest we see her in up until now (waiting to see how the expansion goes, we've yet to get to see her at her lowest since that's the one thing she's missing right now)

I don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but will this be exclusive to the Alliance? I'm a Horde player, didn't the Beta the actually "judge" but the quests looks way more centered around the alliance than the horde. I always read every single dialogue and do every quest while leveling and if this is just for the alliance, guess I'll be doing loremaster twice for this one.
Think this expansion will focus on the alliance and the next the horde. The third if I'm correct will then bring the two sides together either for just the expansion or permanently (till whenever that changes in the lore). Although it's my own opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
When I saw the trailer For the War Within I didn't expect that Faerin would be such a kind and good and lovely person as she is here Im so happy that she is so good and again kind and likeable Like I was worried that from the way she looked in the trailer they would maker her to be this tipical holywood "strong female character" and not actually make her an actually good and kind and caring character. This is a suprise but a welcome one and since from the trailer seems like she will be a big deal Im happy to adventure with her throughout the expansion

I haven't kept up with the wow story in many years. They probably wrote him out of the story because a Guardian is powerful enough to solve almost any problem, which makes it increasingly more difficult to come up with reasons not to include him in conflicts, and the writing becomes repetitive.
If I remember correctly, before the Arathi empire humans lived in scattered tribes. Why wouldn't the tribes be of different ethnicities? WoW has had darker skintone options since the beginning. Nobody has changed anything.
Bruh, House of Lothar are directly connected to the Line of Thoradin, the 1st king of the Arathor Empire. They are literally connected to the royalty that established the foundations that would lead to the different Human kingdoms. The lack of acknowledgment for Arathor and Thoradin by the other human kingdoms kills me. They’re such an important part of Warcraft lore. At least with these light religious Arathi, we might learn more of the Arathor Empire. Put some respect on House of Lothar and Arathor.

Faerin’s voice actor fits a child or a high elf character. Faerin looks like she should be a bold voiceed character like one of the orc female warriors in MoP. Her character design made me think she’d sound like a warrior.

Lothar has to be the same way, it's got some other family histories out there somewhere, she's never said she was kin to Anduin Lothar, she didn't even know the name. I don't think it's confusing at all, she's Arathi, and the Lothar name is Arathian in the distant past. I don't find it weird, confusing, or retconing anything.

Tbf it makes sense to give her a simple haircut (this coming from someone who would have loved to see an intricate hairstyle on a black character). From her characterization so far she's someone who's quick to jump into the fray (and having long hair can be really annoying/inconvenient on a battlefield full of dust, bugs, blood & gore), she's missing an arm so maintenance would be more difficult, and it actually goes well with the scars on her face (one on her right side, just below her haircut; makes sense she'd make it symmetrical). I get why some people were anxious about her character before alpha started (what with the girlboss trend that literally has women just be assholes 24/7 with no character progression and claims it's empowering) but she's been awesome from the first quest we see her in up until now (waiting to see how the expansion goes, we've yet to get to see her at her lowest since that's the one thing she's missing right now)
It's because blizzard are closet racists. They always go for the most stereotypical depiction of people of color. Just look at the artwork for her and see how they paint her with exaggerated racial characteristics.

I don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but will this be exclusive to the Alliance? I'm a Horde player, didn't the Beta the actually "judge" but the quests looks way more centered around the alliance than the horde. I always read every single dialogue and do every quest while leveling and if this is just for the alliance, guess I'll be doing loremaster twice for this one.

Think this expansion will focus on the alliance and the next the horde. The third if I'm correct will then bring the two sides together either for just the expansion or permanently (till whenever that changes in the lore). Although it's my own opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
The Horde is barn animals, primitives, dead people, and addicts. Their lives and views aren't interesting.

When I saw the trailer For the War Within I didn't expect that Faerin would be such a kind and good and lovely person as she is here Im so happy that she is so good and again kind and likeable

I haven't kept up with the wow story in many years. They probably wrote him out of the story because a Guardian is powerful enough to solve almost any problem, which makes it increasingly more difficult to come up with reasons not to include him in conflicts, and the writing becomes repetitive.

Bruh, House of Lothar are directly connected to the Line of Thoradin, the 1st king of the Arathor Empire. They are literally connected to the royalty that established the foundations that would lead to the different Human kingdoms. The lack of acknowledgment for Arathor and Thoradin by the other human kingdoms kills me. They’re such an important part of Warcraft lore. At least with these light religious Arathi, we might learn more of the Arathor Empire. Put some respect on House of Lothar and Arathor.
