Civ 7: How to Break Scouting (and get a huge advantage in Antiquity and Exploration Age)

- As it turns out, there's a strategy in Civilization 7 that allows you to "discover" the new world in Antiquity Age. All you have to do is use two specific mementos, and - optionally - play as Ibn Battuta (and throw in one policy you unlock right at the start of the game) As a result of all that, you can get up to plus 8 sight range on all your scouts. It's a perfectly balanced strategy with no exploits...

When you discover Satellites in antiquity.
Marbs unlocked his SpiffingBrit arc 😂
😂😂😂
Yet another proof we definitely need LARGE MAPS!!!
And we need them now!
Make Large Maps Great Again.
No its proof that the game is unbalanced pile of shit
I guess some day they will bring Terra Grande DLC
Scout be like: 🔭
The scout has so much sight range he can see the release date of XCOM 3.
I bet Marb played more of this game then the devs by now
All that faffing about with boats in the 15th century when Columbus could've just climbed a tall mountain and looked across the Atlantic. 🤦♂
hahaha
But Columbus had a map with distant lands made by Paolo Toscanelli - how do you think he drew it?
Imago Mundi is the most fun Memento I love it so much
Holy shit, Marbozir!! I havnt watched one of your vids in years because I’ve been out of the Civ loop, so happy to see you are still making content
Ancient Scout: Pulls observation drone out of backpack
Civ7 is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits. Am I right?
Well done Firaxis!!
But it isn't a city state yet, right? Right now it's an independent people. It turns into a city state when you conduct diplomatic actions with it. But since you can't do that because of the buttons not working, won't they just disappear on age transition?
This proves the Earth is flat in the Civ universe
Of course, that's why you can't travel through polar areas - you would fall from the edge otherwise!
Perfect video ! Thx
Well, that is insane and I love it 😂😅😅
That is hillarious 😂 no need for ships to visit the distant lands
Thats not a antiquity palace, thats an orbital command
Take that you Round Earthers! FLERF forever!!! ;)
This is kinda ridiculous lol
hmm +8 scout doesn't seem unbalanced at all, is he using airships?
That's.... Like, this is such *jank*? Noninteractable ciy states? What?
Well, this one is because you're not supposed to be able to see or reach the new world continent in Antiquity Age. If you could do what I did here and then befriend an independent power over there, you could basically leapfrog the ocean (which is impossible to cross until Exploration Age) and start settling distant lands in Antiquity Age. I WAS hoping to do that, which would have been even more hilarious, but alas...
@ That's kinda my point. If you're doing it that why generate the continent in the first age in the first place? Why not just do it post-hoc in the Exploration Age?
Can you turn off those hexagons and make it like civ 5 where it's clouds and they part as you reveal more land?
You cannot, this is what they replaced fog of war with in Civ 7.
@ Oh, ok thank you.
@@Marbozir I hate it
I will not buy unfinished slop games ohhhmmmmmmmmm
Is it worth it though. 2 memento choices for vision may not be worth some of the other broken choices you can make.
Is this deity
Game is definitely not worth 100€.
I found not to buy this travesty of a game.
