Around back when the game was released on N64 there was also a Game Boy Colour version. The GBC version has 4 exclusive characters: Kid, Sherry, Joe, Azalea. If you had an N64 Transfer Pak and the GBC version you could transfer these characters to be playable on the N64 version. These 4 characters are unobtainable in the Switch port due to incompatibility with the GBC version and a Transfer Pak.
