The living bible says those boys were killed by the bears.
The last story with Elisha is partially true in how you described it. The "kids" were actually unmarried men. For whatever reason, the Hebrew translated there is boys, but the word is used for people anywhere up to the age of 35 or something of that sort. They were also insulting him by saying "go up, go up." They were implying that Elijah being taken by God didn't actually happen.

Matthew 27:52-53 the resurrection of the dead, does not happen simultaneously as the veil being torn and the earthquake… although it is mentioned together it specifically says “Also the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
53 and coming out of the tombs AFTER HIS Resurrection,they entered the holy city and appeared to many.
So yes, many of the recently deceased saints were resurrected, but it was after the resurrection of Jesus, so it had to be minimum of three days, after the veil was torn, the earthquake and the death of Christ .

Numbers is actually an interesting book it just opens with a census. The name is really unfortunate: the book was originally called “Into the Wilderness” by the Hebrews who wrote it.

Isaiah didn't preach "butt naked". He preached in his undergarments. The Hebrew and context are quite clear on the point.

There are a lot more crazy stories: 1) Elijah outrunning Ahab's chariot for 20 miles; 2) Elijah's town was surrounded by an army. He struck them blind, and led them to Samaria as prisoners. They were fed and sent home. 3) Ezekiel lying on one side for 390 days, and the other side for 40 days. 4) Hosea, a prophet, being told to marry a whore; 5) A man in Judges cuts his concubine into 12 pieces and sent the pieces to the 12 tribes of Israel. 6) Peter was miraculously released from prison, shackled to two guards, by an angel. He returned to the disciples' common house and the servant girl thought he was a ghost. 7) Jesus making mud with his spit and anointing a blind man's eyes with it, and healing him.
God doesn't do the same thing the same way twice.
The question remains. Just because God does it, does that make it automatically right?
The second one is Elisha not Elijah. Elisha's the one who blinded an army and led them to Samaria. They didn't become prisoners though, instead he told the king to feed them and then he let them go.
The Hosea one was the major event in that book though
The story of balam makes me wonder if animals are sentient. The bible specificly says it opened his mouth not made it smart. What if animals just cant understand our language but do have feelings and thoughts?
There is a verse in Proverbs that wonders about this, too
God went to Balaam's donkey and warned him not to curse the Hebrews or else He will send the Angel to kill him.

The crazy thing i think about the talking donkey and Balaam’s initial reaction was that Balaam Replied!- like he talked back to the the donkey WITHOUT HESITATION! What- as if this is normal?! makes me wonder, why WASN’t Balaam first shocked that his do key is talking?!
Also, fun fact that I researched- the talking Donkey from Shrek is actually an allegory to this biblical story!!

Great job! It would be nice to see animations of lesser known but equally interesting stories like the stories of Jabez, Jephtha, Korah, Methuselah, the Levite's concubine that led to the Benjamite War, Balam's and the Nephilim's etc.
This is why young boys and girls should be taught to be respectful and loving to elderly people and older people.

The most disturbing story in the bible is when the Hebrews worshipped idols and began to commit witchcraft and child sacrifices. So God left them and the army of aram besieged Israel so the people started to hunger. The hunger became so great that the king went out to get an overview. How about Canaan’s curse! His father Ham is the one who did something, but Ham wasn’t cursed, but Canaan. Ham uncovered his father’s nakedness-Canaan cursed. Nakedness being a biblical euphemism, and the motive behind it scholars believe Ham was trying to take over authority in this new world. Which shows why his seed is cursed, that is Canaan. Or if you want to cover another crazy one is what Paul truly means about head coverings for women in Corinth. You have to know “medical consensus” of the times, as shown by Hypocrites, that a woman’s hair was considered genitalia. And Paul’s opinion that maybe they should wear coverings “because of the angels” is directly related to Genesis’ account of the sons of God taking wives of the daughters of men. The angels might be tempted again if ladies are flaunting their genitalia in public…
I know this sounds crazy, but if you dig deep in to scholarship on these you will find out how accurate all of this is. Makes the context and the text itself lock into place like a jigsaw puzzle!

Also I've heard of the genitalia argument, and its simply not what Paul was indicating. He was speaking about cloth coverings for that culture being a symbol for being covered under the authority of her husband. That's what the passage is about.

great vid: the whole story of the rape of the Levite concubine and its aftermath is pretty insane. the whole nation of Israel declares war on the tribe of Benjamin in retaliation. (Judges 19-21)
I knew all of them, except the one about Elisha resurrecting the man by touching his bones. I knew the one about Moses and the Foreskins, but blocked it out of memory. I'm not 100% sure what that means, actually. The best commentary on it, shows that we are to be obedient to God in everything. Maybe a foreshadow of Baptism, that the parent ought to have their children baptized, and be believing themselves. A sort of extension of Paul's wisdom to Timothy, "A pastor must have believing wife and children." The fact that Moses hadn't brought his children into the covenant, would have deemed him unworthy for the assignment, and therefore, God would have to kill him, as there could be no further use for Moses on Earth. I'm sure God would have taken Moses to paradise, but the point being is that Moses would have failed his commission, and someone else would have to take the mantle. A good reminder to us, that even if we're called by God, we still need to be obedient. And in this case, Zipporah was not very happy about the practice of circumcision, but saw her husband was in danger, so she circumcised the son. Moses gave his strength to women.
As for the foreskins, all males were supposed to be circumcised by their 8th day as per the covenant. Moses was tested because He could not go and speak on behalf of God without setting his house in order first by having every male within it in compliance with the covenant. Gershom was far beyond this milestone in his life by the time Zipporah circumcised him but her doing so set their house in order and allowed Moses to be freed to go forth as the leader God was calling him to be. First, there is no covenant with people. The "covenant" has ONLY to do with God and his son, which was NOT permanent. Abraham and Isaac is in the Bible because it is a demonstration of the use of uncertainty. Did he cut him or not? The answer is no, but in the uncertainty, Isaac gained omniscience.
@@windigo77 If you believe on Jesus, and get baptized, you made a covenant with Christ. Ergo, you have a covenant with God. Circumcision was the Old Covenant, and was what represented the covenant between the Jews and God, to bind them to the Torah's Law.

God was killing Moses because of his disobedience. He wasn't following the law of Circumcision and she performed it for him, thus saving him.
A bible story you probably never heard was the one about the man who told God if He helped him win a battle he would give the first thing he sees as a sacrifice to God. Well God helped him win the battle. The first thing he saw was his daughter. And he offered her as a human sacrifice to God.
Balaam was NOT summoned to mate with the king of Moab.
I wouldn't really call Balem a man of God. He was an oracle of God but he was a false prophet. He used his gift for personal gain, but the Lord dealt with him in a very bizarre way yes.

I only heard of the naked preacher until now that I got a chance to find it in the Bible. Thanks. Other than that I knew about the rest of them.
I suggest all christians read the entire bible, cover to cover so you know all of what god said and did. It takes about a year and its hard to do but worth it.
You know, it's really important to not change the word of God, even something as small as grapes. It was a grapes and pomegranates and figs that were on the pole. Not just grapes, therefore not at all like the picture you described. If you threw some more fruit on the pole it would makes sense. Maybe the grapes were larger, but the text doesn't say. What the Bible does clearly say is that we are not to add to the Word of God.

I agree. He has a relationship with God that is authenticated to the point that people are paying him to use his connection, yet he has no love for Gods people.

I was particularly surprised by that because I have read that book completely and in a very slow and delibarate manner, yet somehow Isajah preaching naked for 3 years was nothing that registered as something unusual to me.

Hello, The narrative of Jephthah killing his daughter because of a vow he made to God in that if the Lord granted him a particular victory, he would sacrifice the first thing he saw after the battle, which, unfortunately for his daughter, was his daughter.
So, is Jephthah a murderer, or one who obeyed his vow to the Lord?

There's also the man who was picking up sticks on Sabbath, whom God ordered to be stoned to death. Then there's God killing Ezekiel's wife and telling Ezekiel not to mourn openly. God told Hosea to marry a prostitute. Uzzah died for touching the ark of the covenant. It really is a very long list.

I have a NASB Translation, so the part where God was about to kill Moses may just have been in a different part due to the length of verses before it. Or how the translators decided to split verses up. Either that or it is a mistake on my end.

We do have accounts of some of the people that were raised from the dead. There was even a account from I believe Simmions children that gave account to pontious pilot. They even gave their account of hell Jesus Saving from The pits and darkness of hell. The apocryphal text is though not inspired directly by the divine is useful for the interpretation

The term "feet" could have a double entendre in Hebrew texts. It could also refer to the genitals, so Tzipporah may have touched Moses, ahem, down there with the bloody foreskin. Also, while the Egyptians performed circumcision on males in their culture, it left some of it behind, unlike the complete removal as performed by the Hebrews. So, it could also mean that Moses too needed to be fully snipped.
While in the lodge, the midianites tried to kill and rob Moses. In order to save him by proving he's her husband, Zipporah did the following act. Moses didn't expect this to have happened, so maybe he blamed God for the incident.

I've read the entire Bible multiple times, but I kind of forgot about Isaiah preaching naked. I'll have to pay attention the next time I get around to isaiah. I think he gets overshadowed by Ezekiel, because Ezekiel was so much more consistently weird, and by Jeremiah, because of the time span and events that Jeremiah covers (both in prophecy and in actual life lived) Most Christians only remember the messianic prophecies of Isaiah and forget the rest of the story.
I think we can reasonably surmise why God wanted to kill Moses. We read that Zipporah immediately circumcised her son in Exodus 4:25. As Moses had two sons, we must assume then that Moses circumcised only the other son, therefore breaking the covenant Abraham made with God. Her action saved Moses' life.

I really love your content, 3:43 but then a particular information here was not accurate, yes it was written that Elijah was taken to heaven but not “Elijah was taken up to God by himself”, he was taken away by a whirlwind up to heaven but please note “Heaven” is commonly used to describe the sky- “birds of the heaven”(Gen 7:3;23), also it is used to describe the place where the moon and the star are ”the star shall fall from heaven”- Matt24:29, and also the describe the heaven where God dwells- 1peter 3:22. So this is just for your in-depth research because you have to understand the implication of that statement if Elijah went to “Gods heaven” meaning he had eternal life with God then why did Jesus come to die for us? Meaning Jesus lied when he said I come that ye may have life🫠 but then to my point, Jesus said no one had ever seen the father- John 3:13, John 1:18, now to buttress this with no doubts Hebrews 11, mentions all the fathers of faith with Elijah and even Enoch and in verse 13 it said “these all died” hmm don’t you think we are missing something,maybe we should study the Elijah’s story more.

Matthew story in short; it is not holy men that entered the city. It is because of the earthquake bodies (not the persons but their bodies) got out of the tombes and everyone in the city could see it. Now i believe the narritive of the writing is done on purpose. Jesus His death "raises up" more rotten dead people, people of name even. But Jesus His resurrection will bring live to all. Anyways that is what matthew 27 is about
