Trouble maker! I was just looking at my Sisterlocks wondering how I’m going to wear them tomorrow. I decided I’ll just let them hang straight. Now here you come with these beautiful, beautiful curls! Now I have to go pull out the sponge rollers and set my hair. You give me hope. I have read so much that once your hair gets longer your locks won’t hold a curl. I’m a curl girl myself. Thank you Ms Beauty! Now here I go.
Hahahahah....I'm so serious, its the easiest roller set. I dont knownifnill go back to my beloved pipe Cleaners. My pipes are doing well!! LOL! Go for it!
When your locs get long and you find it difficult to hold a curl I would recommend a layered cut. I have small interlocks, not as small as Tunisha But still pretty small. I I layer my locs and it gives me great shape, movement body and my hair holds curls a lot easier.It also helps to take the weight off your hair. I layer the crown area and cut the sides and back to an even 22 inches my shortest layers being towards the center around 16 inches and then blended towards the side. Layered cuts look great on small locs I was wondering in Tunisha would ever layer her hair more. She has a beautiful thick head of locs and I could really see her hair benefiting from a few more layers.

Try mousse. I love it for setting. Doesn’t make hair crispy and the hold is like forever. I have also found it works great with oil. Don’t get that dry look which I hate. I love your bouncy curls. My favourite kind. Nice and beachy 🏝 🏖

Love the way they came out. Absolutely beautiful! Gonna ask my consultant if I could do this. I'm a little over a month being sisterlocked. She wants me to very limited on my styling.
I would say go easy on the styling for now. It's kinda early. I remember being really excited about trying new things and feeling I had to wait. The time will pass quick. Everyone's hair is different. I keep hearing though that the more manipulation early on, the longer the time to lock. I never manipulated mine and it seemed the first year and a half or so took forever to lock and for the time to pass. I think a little after the first year, I did a braid out.

I have been trying to find an alternative to using perm rods because even though the curls are perfect, they hurt my head something awful since I wear them to bed when I first set my hair. And pipecleaner curls are not quite uniform enough when I put them in. So, it was a relief to see that your curls came out so well with sponge rollers.

I'm one week in and I feel like my hair is extremely dry. I was told by my loctician not to add anything to my hair but water. I'm not sure what to do. I don't like the dry look.
Hey sis!! Congrats in a high way. Since you are new, you could listen. Lol! BUY, then slowly add just a little of my mixture but use 1 parts my mixture to 4 parts water, so it's mostly water. Go easy and try first slowly. I understand. I dont dig the dry look either.
Purchase the foam rollers that have a satin cover - they are not expensive.
