Thank you everyone for checking this out. Nicholas Theisen was a courageous person who battled a lot of his demons in silence. He really wanted to be better but hated the side effects of the medication that was helping him. I only wish I had a better understanding at the time of what he was dealing with. He would rather suffer in silence then burden you with his problems. He felt like less of a man if he said anything & I hate he went through it alone. Thank You Ren & Chinchilla for this song. You really painted a perfect picture of the struggles people have with this & really helps me organize my own issues & gives me strength to keep trying & know tomorrow can always be better when you feel better. Thank you everyone!
Damn. I'm only 6 mins in, but I had to tell you how sorry I am you went through that. Just please remember everyone grieves differently. Hell, a single person can grieve 3 deaths in 3 different ways. The what-ifs have to go away. What helped me was talking about them. Regaling stories of adventure, and how they affected your life. You could do it here! Maybe react to a song he loved, or a song that makes you think of him? Hugs 💜
This was a lovely reaction, and I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my father to bipolar, but luckily I was young enough to not realise what had happened. I think you’d appreciate How to be Me by Ren and Chincilla too, there’s a tribute to Joe, who Ren lost as a teen. Chincilla Fingers live and 1:5 are amazing too, I can’t see you appreciate her voice
I AT A LOSS❤🥹 Seriously… thank you to everyone who has left unbelievably kind thoughts here. I never thought ever that a song would hit like this did for me. It really was therapeutic & very unexpected. Just another way to keep his memory alive & just maybe might help someone else get through their pain. It’s never easy dealing with a loss like this but getting his story out could help someone else who might be struggling to know you’re ok even if you don’t think you’re ok & know this temporary circumstance is not your permanent situation. Thank you REN & Chinchilla for this masterpiece. Really helped me in ways I never knew it could. 😮😊❤
I’m so sorry for your loss. FYI Chinchilla suffers from anxiety and she preforms with the nails and, usually, a hat & outfit as a barrier between her and the world. Nail less she’s just Daisy, nails and whatever else she’s CHINCHILLA.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Mike - thank you for sharing some of your story with us. This is a powerful song, and I get chills every time I hear it! I took meds for years, and sometimes they helped, sometimes they didn't. You're right - it's a really difficult balance to find. Chinchilla is definitely worth checking out - her solo stuff is very different. She said once in an interview that a lot of her songs reflect the things that she wishes she would have/could have said in various situations. As others have noted, Chinchilla is actually quite shy in "real life," but when she puts on those nails and an elaborate costume (usually with a hat that she made herself!), she's ready to become FIERCE! I would suggest you start with her live performance of Fingers for Hunger TV.
I'm sorry about your nephew. You are correct, after you're on meds you feel better and decide you don't need meds. It's a catch 22. There was nothing you could have done. Thank you for sharing your story. Ren is remarkable. So is Chinchilla. Looking forward to more Ren/Chinchilla/Big Push reactions. ❤
REN always pure 🔥🔥 but PLEASE try some of Chinchilla's earlier catalogue like ELEMENT'S or ONE TIME or FABULOUS or TERMS AND CONDITIONS or LOCKDOWN GET DOWN or TRIGGER or SHADOWS 🎶🎵🍯🤌. This young lady is an absolute BEAST 🤯🙏💪🐝🍀🇬🇧
Beautifully poigniant reaction, thank you for sharing your nephew's name. Sounds like he suffered quietly as many do, hopefully your reaction and his story will touch lives and create a legacy where your family's loss will impact on others and carry them through to a positive future.
I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your nephew's story. Big love for you and your family. Chinchilla is a vocal powerhouse. Her Fingers live for Hunger TV really displays her talent. Also, 1:5 is one of my favorites of hers. Loving your reactions and looking forward to more!
I guess everyone knows someone fighting the fight and those who couldn’t anymore. I’m 50 and still fight those thoughts. It’s horrible to lose someone so close. This song and a few others have been on repeat in my head these days with these battles I’m dealing with. This song like many of his do hit hard. He does have lighter stuff as well. I hope you get a balance through this ride or it can be overwhelming. Your genuineness is a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing as too many understand too well. Take care. Peace and live
Your pain comes through in your reaction. If you are in pain you need to share it , you can't keep it inside, it destroys you. Apart from Ren's physical problems he's also suffered the loss of people very close to him. He shares is loss and pain in some of his work, if he didn't he may not have made it himself and we will be poorer for it. Sorry for your loss mate 🙏
This is what Ren and his music does. Making people opening up and share. Sorry for your loss and thank you ♥️🙏 More goosebumps, Ren vs Chinchilla “How to be me” live version.
Already did. This song has done more for his mom than me by far! She carries a lot of guilt not taking his bipolar diagnosis more seriously until he was consumed by it. I think it’s a hard thing for my previous generation to really empathize with how delicate one’s mental state cannot be fixed by a simple pill. So sad to look back & hear from my dad to “suck it up & stop crying! What is wrong with you?” Heard it so many times. Sad but true. Thank you again
Hi Mike, I'm sure we all agree that not only do we hear your take on Rens lyrics, we see that many of them hit you very hard without any commentary needed ! Especially evident in your reaction to The Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet..... Ren always portrays the pain with such Powerful & Beautiful lyrics/ words that most can't find, he's a voice for so many people already & only more people will learn this in the future. Sorry to hear about Nicholas, the photo makes me think of a quote from Immanuel Kant , a German philosopher from the 1700 and early 1800's..... " He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men....We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” As for suggestions Rens " 1990's " or " What You Want " & Chinchillas " MF Diamond ", will lift you spirits for sure ! P.S. Close to that 1000 subs, my friend !
Thank you for the thoughtfulness! Have this song on repeat all day! Hits you in the “feels” in a good way. His mom really loved how it turned out…. Despite the low audio & visual hiccup… but the editing is getting better. Still pretty green on that part. 🙏
@ nah man your doin just fine! No one comes for the edits and they will get a little better each time. Keep up the great work. And as for that hitting you in the feels… a lot of RENs music will do that! Just space it out with some happy stuff too! The love music 1-4 is great, power, streetlights, halftime, back on 74…. So many feel good songs in the mix too! Never mind when you start looking at Collins and the big push! lol I would like to suggest a song for you that is new but it is a little heavy if you want to put it off. “Baggage” with Chris Webby and ten. I think you’ll really appreciate that one like you do chalk outlines.
I went off my meds because I felt better and became a suicide survivor. I now religiously take them. I wish I was someone else in the morning just to have one day of no chronic pain. Thank you for sharing and I’m so sorry 😞.
Same to you. More stories like yours need to be shared. One of my guilts I still have is not sharing my mental health struggles I’ve had for many years because I didn’t want to burden my family with/ more of my issues. Now, I use it as a teaching tool to show that you are not alone. Might be a little late now but maybe not for someone else. Stay strong & know that if you are in a bad place…. Your temporary circumstance doesn’t have to be a permanent situation. Words I repeat everyday & comments like this make me so thankful I started this channel. A healthy therapeutic release for me. 🙏
@@BigMikeReactions For me, It was also hard to show the state I was in. I was a super Mom. My arm was damaged in a mountain bike race and my Health took a dive from there. Shortly afterwards My Dad died in my arms from a heart attack and a year later my Mom disappeared off my property and was only found 20 days later. I hit the deepest black hole but my Husband or 4 kids did not notice. Thank God I survived my suicide attempt because I hurt my kids badly. My Health is still bad and living with severe chronic pain is not fun. Ren makes my day happier. I hope your channel grows and grows. Hugs :)

Dear Mike, thankyou for sharing your story. Sorry for your loss. Sending love to you and your family. Another great, thought provoking reaction ❤
Chinchilla has bad anxiety and her nails are apart of her persona as chinchilla, like her armour 😊 Great Reaction! Really enjoyed it.

Really enjoying your Ren reactions. 'For Joe' is a very relevant song in relation to your experience with your nephew. Worth a watch.
Yeah…this is the same guy who did Halftime and The Hunger!
Chinchilla wears the nails as part of her on stage persona. She suffers stage fright and her alter ego helps her with confidence for performing.
Great review, buddy.
So very sorry for your loss.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Mike... welcome to CHINCHILLA 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 REN'S "TWIN" in music and art.
Go for "Little Girl GONE" ....before more heartbreaking stuff...🎉🎉🎉🎉

I'm so sorry for the loss of your nephew, Mike. Great reaction as usual.
If you want som more of the Chinchilla-force-of-nature you can try her: 1:5 (the live version).

Mike, you sound level compared to the track make you almost inaudible.
Noticed that when its on a TV. Still learning
