"Transfixed with hellish and unephemeral apparitions..." = hallucinations, night terrors, sleep paralysis. "Tracing the book of Job's familiar descriptions..." = Similar symptoms are described in the Book of Job. In my case I deemed these to be early signs of demonic possession. "My seed fell among the smothering thorns..." = a reference to the parable of the sower. Witnessing and experiencing suffering isn't always relentless, if you come out of it like I did, you can use the wisdom that comes with it for good. The next verse describes how I would likely die (by suicide) if God didn't intervene. "The morning star..." = only the devil can truly make you not want to live anymore. "Paraclete..." = the Holy Spirit. At the time it felt unlikely that I would ever be saved. "The herd of swine" = a reference to the Gerasene demoniac. "The problem of evil stand corrected..." = the "problem of evil" doesn't exist, we're the ones who go looking for evil and surround ourselves with it. "Projected to planes of existence..." = astral projection. "Elihu's passages" = another reference to the Book of Job, specifically where Elihu speaks. "Beware the hissing from its nest..." = the chorus, the title and the album art is a reference to Acts 16:16-24 where Paul drives out a "spirit of divination", or a "spirit of python" in original Greek. "Prince of the air" = another name for the devil. "The celestial sphere" = the Kingdom of God.
