What amazing stories of the power of the storms and the resilience of the people. This needs to be put out there to show that these islands haven't been forgotten.

Wow incredable. I'm from South Africa. I take my hat off to the Nederlands and the incredible people of St. Martin. Incredible respect.

So devastating that this has fallen off the news radar as "old news". Seeing that radio tower folded in half just blew my mind - the wind needed to do that is unfathomable. Another great video Rick, I appreciate the effort that you and Brandon are putting into sharing the plight of the islands. Peace, fair winds and following seas!

Great work spreading news about the devastation but more importantly the resilience , determination and positiveness of the island residents. It seems that you're the only sailing channel that takes the time to report on this which makes the others self-indulgent and singularly pleasure-seeking centric. Enjoy the good stuff when we can and roll up our sleeves when we must.

Devastation every where it's hard to believe that so much time later it's still not fixed up, One of the most beautiful islands I've seen on your channel Rick, thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Thanks Rick for showing how devastating St.Martin was after the hurricanes. It would appear that rebuilding is well on its way and hopefully the tourist trade improves as well!

all that destruction in such a place of beauty is so sad. I'm glad to see hopes are high and recovery is running full speed ahead. It is inspirational how they are recovering. Puts life in perspective for me that people need to remember no matter how bad they have it, you can overcome the challenges presented to you.

The media showed the disaster of Irma for a couple of weeks and then it’s like it never happened. The truth is, it will take many years before life returns to normal for the survivors. Katrina hit us in 2005, and it is just starting to feel normal again for us. But, the good news is, it does get better! Thanks for the update, Rick.

So sad, So hard to watch, I live here in NW Florida (Pensacola) and went through a lot of Hurricanes in the past 65 years and know how hard it is to rebuild after the fact, Prayers for all the strong people of the Islands in there time of need.

Nice video as usual Rick. Great drone shots at Pelican Key and nice to see your interview with Topper. I was back recently during the last week of June 2018. Westjet has been flying down from Toronto since April 29th. I stayed with my son in a condo at Simpson Bay Resort which is back in great shape. My son also flew his drone off Pelican View at Pelican Key. His ATV battery died up there hahaha Keep those videos coming .. Always enjoy watching them...

Real people facing unimaginable devastation to their lives, homes, and livelihoods. Superb interviews and a fantastic behind the facade look at something no other provides. Great job Rick. Titties and beer aren't always most important. I realize this is going to cause an outburst of comments. 🤣

Suggestion: remove sunglasses--especially ones with mirrored lenses--when conducting interviews or when recording indoors (like in SL's salon). In the first case, they can cause the interviewee to feel uncomfortable, and in the second case they're not necessary and introduce a barrier between you and your viewers. Otherwise, great reporting as usual.
