The issue I have with these kind of boots it that I keep hitting the chain stay with the heel. I own the Lake MXZ304 boots and had to trim down the part of the rubber sole around the heels.
Is the Ragnarok basically the updated Japanther? It has the same temp rating. I like the boot, but not for more that an hour or so.

I have their original pair but they fit real snug making them hard to get on and off (in my case tearing up the material and ripping the stiches on the pull-on heal strap) But I got these new revamped ones this past fall. I love them. The fit is much better, getting them on and off is much easier (even thou they don't have the pull-on heal strap) and comfortable enough that I putting the on to ride to work (work in a bicycle shop) but then often don't that them off again until when I get home that night. They are great! But yeah I do have that Boa issue as well.
I'm a great fan of winter boots especially DAS boots from Planet X.

I have a pair of Lake boots with one of the BOA being just like yours! I have gone thru their website for a replacement (free for life), but some questions they ask make me think it's a user error. Maybe this time I'll follow thru.
I just bought these, and they're great, though I wish they had half sizes. My usual 45 is a bit tight, and 46 is a bit loose even with thick socks. I stuck with the 46, but I think a 45.5 would have been great. The biggest complaint I have though is that I find them to be hard to get on and off. Even when pulling out the boa wire all the way, the opening to get your foot in is pretty small.
