Rohingya should have a land of their own. They do not seem to be welcome in countries to which they migrate, even muslim countries. Now, Bangladesh, also a muslim country, is saddled with nearly a million od them and is not thrilled. Condemning Myanmar is the easy part. The Military Junta in Burma is still very powerful and dangerous, and still in power. Aung San Suu Kyi has spent a better part of 21 yrs under imprisonment by the very same generals who are still in power right now. Her husband died in the UK and she wasn't allowed to properly mourn for him let allowed attend his funeral. She never got see her children grow up. She is stuck between her love for country and going back to prison. Those generals would send her back to house arrest the minute she doesn't tow the line, she knows it. And the worst thing is that she also knows the international community is not going to lift a hand to help her. This is a woman who is stuck between a rock and a devil, and all the world wants is her blood for actions for actions of an institution that is out of her powers, as per the constitution of Myanmar. Why the world doesn't see this beyond me.

Very delicate situation. Royinyas were oppressing force during British colonization of Myanmar. British brought Royinyas to Myanmar to police Myanmar people then when British were gone they stayed and never simulated into Myanman culture, language and society. ethical thing was british should have sent them back to Bangladeshi when the colonization was over.
Regrettable that there is ethnic cleansing in Myanmar.Had the Rohingya community acted with alacrity and avoided jailing to fanaticism a decade back this tragedy could have been avoided .Even now it is not too late to sit across with the Myanmar nationalists and resolve on the basis of confronting truth and finding out resolution through reconciliation .The channel of Al Jazeera though it is a Muslim channel should try to put a perspective view rather than giving pinhole peek version.

In my opinion, the only political question that should be answered is this: given the political situation in Myanmar, what would have happened if Aung San Suu Kyi had spoken in defence of the Rohingya? This ethnic cleansing would have stopped? What would have happened to the democratic process in that country?

The title of this video makes the assumption that the world cares about the Rohingya people. It seems for the most part that they are wrong. If the world cared someone would have given these people a home. Other muslim nations don't seem to be eager to take them in.
They have a home that they are being kicked out of. Other Muslim countries may care but it's much more difficult to make a new home in a foreign country with foreign language for millions than to increase international pressure to stop their expulsion.
