Gosh this is too many states 😭 but it’s a shorter drive than the TX to NY move we did two years ago. We’ve only got four hours left of the drive now!! And absolutely :) I’ll be working 9-5 every weekday so I’ll have little time to setup if it’s not doubling as the night’s video aha

Congrats on graduating!! I love watching process videos so yours was awesome to watch! As soon as you put the video clips of Cincy in I got really excited. I’m from Cincinnati and actually go to college down in the city. It’s super beautiful and such a great destination, especially if you’re into art! If you ever get a chance to visit again definitely check out Eden Park and The Cincinnati Art Museum! The riverfront by the stadiums is also a great place to walk and there are some lovely restaurants. There’s also lots of history and old buildings, my college is actually in an old barrel factory that is massive! If you like exploring abandoned places, there’s also the unfinished abandoned subway that runs under some of the main city intersections. There’s some entrances on the highway, but it’s best to be careful since it’s monitored. Happy moving! And a huge congratulations again on graduating!!

Can’t wait to see the new setup! Cincinnati is super nice! I love the art museum there. I live in Kentucky and my moms family lives in cinci so we go a lot! And yea the way the roads are surrounded by trees most of the time is how traveling within Kentucky is. Alabama is actually really nice too! My brothers used to go to college there.

I have had to make the drive from the midwest to my home in Louisiana multiple times over the years and its a 12-14 hour drive depending on how often you stop. So I understand your pain of a very long drive 🙃 . I do not envy you having to move right after graduation, after I graduated and hung out with family I basically collapsed into bed and slept the rest of the day. Hope the rest of the drive/moving in goes great
I’m in hell 🥲 We’ve done the 22 hour drive (TX to NY) multiple times and many other long drives and they’re definitely not something I look forward to but it’s not bad. I do currently have the worst headache of my life but we are still 3 hours out and we have all of the pets so we’re just gonna go for it and try and make it

So I was going for paleontology which I decided in high school and confirmed with an internship but that’s not a traditionally offered degree so I had to work around that. I did my high school and associate’s degree at once and then went to UT for my Bachelor’s in geoscience. I decided I didn’t want to go deeper into Geo because I prefer lab and specimen work over field work so I switched gears for my master’s and got that in bio! I was in absolute hell during my undergrad and nearly flunked out and gave up several times but pulled through and had a 3.8 GPA and did a bunch of wonderful things during my master’s program. I really enjoyed this. I had some wonderful opportunities at UT but there was a very dark cloud looming the whole time unfortunately. I absolutely love paleo and I’ve known this was what I wanted my whole life so I’m very fortunate to be three hours away from my new life working in a museum like I always dreamed I would. I did a lot of fossil preparatory work in my undergrad and a lot more modern specimen work during my grad. Just VOLUNTEER!! VOLUNTEER!! If there’s an opportunity JUMP for it! If you don’t like something you can always stop doing it but if you don’t try, you can’t always backpedal and get into it later.
Kentucky looks beautiful, so does Cincinnati OH. I’ve only ever lived in Massachusetts but I’ve visited South Carolina, Virginia, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New York, Maine, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida. East coast wonder.

It hasn’t been too bad! We’re over 3/4’s of the way there. The pets are a nice distraction as our car is the pet chauffeur while my mom has Cleo the snake and some fragile stuff like the glass shelves.

It hasn’t been too bad! We’re over 3/4’s of the way there. The pets are a nice distraction as our car is the pet chauffeur while my mom has Cleo the snake and some fragile stuff like the glass shelves.
