Goodness, so much to say. Makeup--I covered my face with makeup for years due to massive insecurity with myself. I started in about grade 9, and I continued into my 20s and early 30s. Slowly, I have been working on myself and now I either don't wear any, or I wear very minimal and even though I'm now 47, I actually think I look better without all of that on my face! I mostly wear Burt's Bees or other vegan/no animal-testing brands. Also, thank you for the flatbread recipe, I think I am going to make that tonight for supper! I am also a vegan. Books, oh I love books with all my heart and every time you talk about what you are reading I feel as if I am having tea with a friend. I live on the prairies in Canada, and I thought I would share (since you are also a nature lover) that last night we had a massive rain/hail storm, and my lovely flower garden is now shredded to bits. I am sad, but it's ok, I am just thankful our home and my family are all safe. Have a lovely week

The make up was lovely very subtle and beautiful. I'm decluttering my home and I have so much make.up I've always lived it.cant leave the house with out it.but last few weeks I've wanted to tone down my makeup to look a bit more oh natural .I'm 59 years old so my skins changed alot too so trying to find a new look x

Oh, make up!!😅 I used to wear make up to cover up acne for years..... ruining my skin even further and creating more and more insecurities....
Thing is that when I was younger, there wasn't much talk about eating clean or natural make up....
I'm so glad I left those years behind and learnt to slowly heal myself❤

And also “English Pastoral” by James Rebanks (about a Lakeland Shepherd).
And “The Magic Apple Tree” by Susan Hill (a beautifully written year in an Oxfordshire village)

I love my library - I regularly order books through them - and it’s a mobile service which comes to our village once a month. Such a brilliant service, but so few (elderly) folk use it!

You've managed to pack in a lot in this video. Thanks for sharing Merit, I went on their web-site and bought the cover stick and lipstick. I'm very minimalist these days with makeup and never wear foundation anymore but I'll give the Merit stick a try. It does lift my mood to put a touch of makeup on and some eyebrows. I'm very fair skinned like you but I also have fair eyebrows. Interested in your book recommendations. I'm always on the lookout for something that's out of my usual comfort zone and I often switch from fiction to non-fiction.

I love your channel! I'm thinking of moving to the Cairngorms. The walks look so peaceful on your videos... do you find it gets crowded in the summer or at other times, or is it easy to get away from people into the wilds?
Some areas do get busier in the summer, but there's always wilder spots that stay fairly quiet, especially if you go early! :)

Make-up: have never really worn it... I especially will not even consider wearing it if it's hot or if I'm hiking, cycling, etc. For me, it's more of a Winter/cool weather artistic expression... but even then, I keep it natural/minimal. :) CHRIS PACKHAM!! Probably one of my favourite humans of all-time! I read the book he wrote during COVID Back to Nature... was very good; disheartening too; there is a lot of work to do. I also recently watched (2 times) the new BBC series: EARTH; which Chris P. narrates/hosts: he's brilliant! And I ordered the book he wrote, that goes with the series; I just got the book from Waterstones, it arrived yesterday. Cannot recommend both enought: the series & the book. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Durrells in Corfu, my all-time favourite books; all the ones written by Gerald Durrell. 😊❤ -- Happy to see your weather is lovely and cool anew! I love you Molly but your book reviews are making my TBR out of control 😅 I went to a book shop with my 11year daughter yesterday and she laughed the whole time as I said I was “just looking”! I bought a book then was convinced to buy another on sale and got another free! So 3 books! My TBR, if you stack them physically, the ones I own, is taller than me! I also have a list on the notepad of my phone with 45+ 🫣
