I used your other recipe (make the masa by scratch) about two years ago. My parents tried my tamales and loved your masa recipe. We have been using it ever since. Plus my mom showed the recipe to all her sisters and now they always use your recipe. It’s sooo good!!
I have been wanting to make tamales for a couple years now, I have never tried. When I lived in Las Vegas, my neighbor would bring us the most amazing tamales every Christmas eve. I can't wait to try this, you make things so easy, thank you :)
First! The way y'all use boiled/broiled chilis is awesome. I got a bag of anchos in the pantry. Wanna try this but it's kinda daunting por un guero como yo jaja
Since I have arthritis on my hands,I found out the easiest way to make buñuelos is to buy the tortillas uncooked and I just fry them they come out crispy and yummy 😋
Can you please make a short video on what you mean by “cleaning” the chiles? Does it mean wash the outside? Remove stem and seeds? Wash the inside too?? Some of us don’t know cause we never used them. Thanks!
Wow the masa looks so watery at the end 😮😮. My mom never leaves it like that lol.shes my only guide for comparison 😂😂. Hers are delicious tho. I wonder how different the texture would be if i made yours. Thanks for sharing!
Making homemade tamales has always felt so daunting! So much work goes into making them and I always seem to mess up the masa. Thank you so much for the helpful hints! I've been planning on trying them again this holiday season. Maybe I'll actually get them right this time! lol
@@MzTeriberryI’m happy to see she’s still with her hubby. I love how she’s been so open about their struggles in the past but have soldiered on together. A true blessing for their family. She is a lovely human being 💕
This looks so delicious... Would love to try making it , but here in South Africa we do not have those ingredients as far as i know ... A South African version would be so epic ❤❤❤
I love tamales! Pork is my favorite. Have you had the sweet tamales? I’ve seen a lady make strawberry tamales. Never had them before, but I’m sure if I see you make them, I’d try it. 😊
Asi los hacemos en nuestra casa. Nos gusta usar masa preparada de Mama Lola’s. The Mama Lola’s rep told me that Food City is using their masa and sticking their price sticker on it😁
Unfortunately I have never had a tamale that I wanted another of. I lived in Texas, had many tamales and never really liked the masa it was always plain and really bland. I've had many different tamales from many Abuelas and this is the only one that makes me crave a tamale. You treat the masa as a star of the show instead of only a vessel and that's what's I've always been missing I think.
Which is your favorite way? I have your cookbook but I’m a rookie never attempted but would love to in making the chili 🌶️ is the combination of chili’s really spicy Hot ? 🥵 I love heat but want to enjoy and I’m not familiar with using New Mexico chili’s thank you for All your yummy videos and sharing Your Beautiful Family 😊❤❤

Thank you for this recipe. Can you use the mixer with this recipe or do you recommend using your hands?
mmm so good and easy
Thank you for showing me how to make tamales 😍
If the masa is made ahead and refrigerated should it be warmed up before using? Or will it still be spreadable when cold? Thanks! 😊
You should be able to spread it ☺️ just make sure to cover completely so no air get in it ☺️♥️
@@CookingConClaudia thank you! It looks so good🥰
Yummy looks so good
Giiiirl yuuum ❤❤❤
It's Christmas tamale time!
This is way my suega taught me 50 years ago! She learned from her father. I ve been making them for 50 years every year

Cloudia con carne!
😋
Hi, do you have to add the baking powder? Thank you!
Omg this looks so good what type of meat did you use ?
is there a downside to using a stand mixer to process all the ingredients into the masa?
Great recipe!!! I noticed that the mass came from Food City!!!! I shop at Food City in Tucson where are you located?
Hey girl, what size corn husks should I use? ❤
For me the bigger and prettier, the better they are easier to work with ☺️
Can we use the Guadalupana masa?
Can you do a recipe for sweet corn tamales with canned corn? Would that be an abomination 😅. It’s hard to find fresh corn now that it’s winter.

My favorite way is how is in my cookbook ☺️♥️
New Mexico chile pods are spicy guajillo is a good one for no spice ☺️
Can you make a green sauce version?
Where do you get the paper to wrap the tamales in? Thanks for showing how to make the unprepared masa. I’ve seen it at Food City and have always wondered. 😋 ❤
Mexican stores ,and Walmart also has them
@ TY, I’ll look again…
2:18 sooooo you tricked me, 😂
Your title says “masa preparada” which is commonly sold at local Mexican grocery stores 😅
Can you freeze the tamales Claudia.
If I don’t want the chili sauce in my masa so I just increase the broth?
Do you have a recipe to make sweet tamales... Strawberry or pineapple?
I wonder how many tamales are yielded from this recipe?
Claudia do you wrap your tamales in the thin paper wrapper
I do to seperate the diffeeent meats 😅 I had beef and pork in the pot so I wrapped the beef ones so i knew which ones are which ☺️
@ ok thank you
I don't know I didn't see anything any easier than the regular way that we do it
Is the rendered fat from when you cooked down the pork?
Nah you can normally buy it separately at any Latin grocery store
💛💙💛💙👍🏽☺😘💯
Did you wrap them with paper? What kind of paper is that?
Merhaba arkadaşım kolay gelsin yine harika lezzet oldu Afiyet olsun sizlere de bekleriz buyurun
Wait, I can get a print out or something that I can print out for this recipe
Can you make the hot Cheeto balls? With taco meat or ground beef inside?
Beautiful Woman
This looks amazing, I need a beautiful Mexican Woman in my life
Delicious 😋. I would be so fat 😅
Garlivvvv cloves??
What meat did you use?
Where did you get that much rendered fat? What type of meat was it from?
How do you render the fat
Please, my Mexican brothers and sisters, which chilies can I use if I DO NOT want a spicy tamale?
Use guajillo chile pods ☺️
@@CookingConClaudia OMG… Claudia answering herself!!!! 🤩 THANK YOU!!!! 💕 LOVE your channel!
You are so welcome ☺️♥️ thank you for all your love and support 🙏🏽💕
Did you forget the water??
Just for density testing
😂😂
It doesn't look any easier the only difference is your Masa is a lot more watery
Mas o menos bien😢
So bad for you in long term health. Do you have to use lard? Can it be something else? 😅
