After tree kills woman in DC park, neighbor says she warned of risks | NBC4 Washington

After a falling tree limb hit and killed a woman in a Capitol Hill park, a resident said she had warned officials the tree was a danger. News4’s Mark Segraves reports.

I’ve twice warned different neighbors about trees in their yard and both ignored the warning. In one case a huge branch came down and destroyed the hood of their car and in the other case the entire tree came down and completely destroyed the rear addition to their house. Trees will let you know either visually or audibly when they’re ready to come down, don’t ignore it.

The director needs to be fired. DC needs to stop misusing taxpayers' money, planting new trees, and care for the trees that are doing the work and need the most care. That tree could have lived a hundred more years easily.
