I still don't really know what to make of the KGM Tivoli, I could certainly live with one BUT it wouldn't be my first choice - what do you think? I hope you enjoyed this review - more coming soon!

Well done Jon a great review and it looks a nice car and a good competitor to the likes of juke and t roc etc if it’s like the old ssangyongs you had a lot of spec for a value price much like protons and Hyundai in the past
Enjoying the new car review videos Jon, very comprehensive and well presented! Who would you say KGMs main competitors are? Are they going up against the likes of Dacia, it does remind me of the Suzuki Vitara also Would be nice to see the KGM infotainment system in a future video to see how that stands up against its rivals
My partner has one from 2018, cost her just over 12k brand new, and has a decent spec. It's not the fastest thing on the road, being a 1.6 non turbo, be she loves it. Reliability has been good.
You’ve got to get the inspector a Berlingo or one of the variants for The Inspector. Made all the difference to my mum and dad’s old dog. And it was guilty pleasure of mine to drive it.
I read that the Italian government have banned the use of Italian sounding names on cars not built in Italy. The Fiat Milano which is built in Poland is now called the Fiat Junior after government pressure.
It has more to do with the Italian syndicate than the Italian name of a town. They are putting pressure on Stellantis the owner of Alfa Romeo as they transferred the production of the new model Milano in Poland. So they said if you are not employing Italian workers then you can't use Italian names. After all that is the price of globalization and we'll drive Chinese Teslas and so on.
I'm assuming the engine is the 1.5 turbo GDI engine used by Hyundai and Kia? I own a Kia Ceed SW with the same engine, and apart from intermittant low gear hesitation, it is a very, very good drive. It has insanely good performance for a car at it's price point (160bhp), and returns 60+ mpg on motoway runs all the time. If this is the same, at least motorists have another choice of petrol-powered car in a diminishing marketplace.
Competent, but I feel it is no more than that. 10 years ago it would have been great, but things have moved on. Interior space looks very good, compared to other similar SUVs I have seen. NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) looks behind the times though. Cabin finish has some good points - overall lightness, decent seats, instruments, handbrake - but the high boot does rather seem to rule out the target market. Economy is hilariously bad for a small car these days, it should be hitting 50 or so, even with spirited B road driving. The current Corsa, Yaris etc don't have a problem getting that. Nowhere near cheap enough to make it competitive, especially given the unknown brand, itself the spawn of a not exactly well loved manufacturer.
Oh... This suddenly occurred to me several hours later, but it will bug me if I don't mention it before I go to bed. So brace yourself. The indicator tick-tock-tick-tock. Its wrong! It is tuned to an oriental music scale (no idea what it is called) not the western scale. So it sounds off-pitch or off-key. Yep, that's all. But it would REALLY bug me every time I used the indicators.

That's partly why we have the Royal Snail Van ☺️

Well thats a very interesting thing!
How on earth could they do that? Will the chinese gov put pressure on fiat to stop the calling the Panda , the Panda?
@@grrfy Thats a good point?!

I lov it ❤
Awesome
Seems to be a pretty nice car, how does it compare price wise with the competition in the UK? Renault Captur or something?
Its on par with a Dacia

nono ssangyong s own home made engine; the auto is aisin which is part of toyota
I cant seem to find out too much information about it - i think it might be their own engine
Great reviews, like the car but put off with the rear of it.
Yes it's very high to the bottom of the boot. Thanks for watching
Seems to be a good enough car, let down by a few things that it shouldn't be (such as the cabin noise, fit and finish etc)
Yes I agree 👍

seems like a wine; it looks even better than before; very attractive car
I agree - i think it will find its clientelle
Just think how many micras, protons and smarts that you could get for the money that the Tivoli costs!
Absolutely! A fair few!
This suzuki garage is within farting distance of my girlfriends house.
