Should have came with a Bulova high beat quartz with the smooth sweep. Keeping with it's roots and be able to use it for any rougher activity than chess and watching you tube videos.
What doesn't make sense is producing an Accutron without the tuning fork movement.
Larry de March it's makes as much sense as producing a water cooled Porsche.
I'm a sucker for cushion/tonneau/TV-shaped '70's vibe watches.
The more you research watches, the deeper you get pulled into the land of endless possibilities. Like most all purchases , this will be the scenario - does it look good, do I want it now, can I afford it. Boom , it's a done deal.
I have the 261 from the series. I did want the tuning fork as that design and history is what got me interested in Accutron. That said, I love mine. I’m so happy I got it. I was tired of my apple watch and wanted something else. It looks great with everything. It was an impulse buy that replaced my large and heavy Seiko I’d picked up a month earlier.
I spend a lot of time at a desk on a laptop. The smaller (to me) 38mm case is far more comfortable that the 43mm+ cases on other watches I’ve had.
To each is own but I really love mine.
Overall, a good showing from the Citizen Group. It's always nice to see more of this funky, 70s and Liberace themed designed watches, as its quite different from most pieces on the market for obvious reasons. Different is always appreciated!
This watch continued to grow on me as the video progressed, especially the brushing and that crystal. Very cool watch.
Finally! Someone is checking out this watch! I will have this watch....someday.....when I find enough change in my pockets.
I found enough change & got this watch. My only major criticism - the rather small crown makes this essentially impossible to wind. I have to hold the watch in my hand & shake it in order to spin the rotor in order to wind this thing. Other than that, very cool, retro style watch.

Beautiful watch. In my opinion the movement is not a bad a thing, even if it drifts appart from the original movements.
It may not be for me but I am glad it is possible today to buy such an interesting 70's throwback.

Eye-catching
I love the retro theme, the stubby hands I guess are needed to stop them hitting that angled chapter ring. The vertical brushing on the dial contrasts well with the mat chapter ring. I quite like the idea of using the SW200 movement as it's a well known Swiss workhorse and should be easy to service and regulate. Great macro photography once again Teddy.
Ove what Accutron offers, but this one is out of my cup of tea. I look forward to more interesting additions to come
Bulova/Accutron designs can be a hit or a miss but they sure are distinct. Teddy we would love to hear your thoughts on the Frederique Constant's Slimline Monolithic Manufacture. They have finally created a mechanical watch with the smooth sweep, however I wish the finishing was better in line with the new movement. GS better watch out as spring drive is not only the movement with smooth sweep in the market now. Bulova has the battery powered precisionist, Accutron has the hybrid electrostatic movement and now Frederique Constant has the mechanical monolithic manufacture. However, spring drive is still the smoothest on paper I believe and GS' finishing is on another level.

Is it really an Accutron if it's a mechanical movement? I have to say I'm disappointed in that. It feels like the new chevy Blazer. They reused a name but forgot about the heritage behind it despite the looks.
Imagine how much thinner it could have been with a digital mvmt too. Its kind of a chunky watch for what it is.
The blazer is still better than the new bronco in those terms. It’s basically a tall focus

Its too chunky too for the size. If it was allot thinner I think the size would be less of an issue.

Butterfly clasp is a no-go every time. I liked the watch, but no micro adjustment just doesn't work for me.
Sir ,I am afraid ,Without tuning fork movement , this looks inferior to original vintage accutrons . The Hallmark of accutron was super smooth seconds hand which this watch lacks
We.expected Bulova Oak REISSUE.
Mixed feeling to see this in automatic movt. The soul of Accutron is smooth sweeping sec hand, which is 2nd best to Seiko Spring Drive, be it in fork tuning or Quartz, stripping the movt renders Accutron naming meaningless.

That does look vintage, a little too vintage for my tastes.
Sellita movement makes this one a no starter for me. Shame. Accutron should've gone with HAQ, or just something that's not Sellita.

The only Retro is the use of the excellent vintage Accutron name; other than that it looks like any other Boring designer watch....Legacy edition? not by any stretch of the imagination.
Bulova hi beat highly accurate smooth sweep missing……big time, massive fail.
I would never give $ 1500 dollars for this watch, the price is twice as high as the real one.
