I mean - those guys did beat G9 and had him run away and stay in the mob area. In my view they won this and were just nice enough not to waste anyone's time and follow him into a meatgrinder.
@@Jedrex899 ER invasions play more like a cover shooter, the same logic you presented applies to the invader too. Why would anyone charge into a blender? Unless you get a DC or those big yellow letters you haven't won anything.

@@Heowolf true, that is why I quickly stopped playing invasions in ER when I learned that you can ONLY invade coopers (plus the severe lack of balance). I have 1000s of hours of invasions across Souls so I get that mentality, but just as how it is unfair to fight 1v2 the same can be said about 4v2 that we saw here with the birds. G9 has often easily soloed 2v1 and 3v1 ganks thanks to his massive experience/skill and optimized builds, that is why I consider they won since he couldn't do ANYTHING to them but run away without mobs helping him.
Putting UGS damage on a fast poking weapon is a classic Fromsoft blunder

I stayed at 125 for over a year and a half because 125 was ingrained into my mind as meta from Dark Souls 1 and 3. Once I finally decided to go to 150 I saw far more invasions (and this was after the game had been out for 1.5 years, still way before the DLC would release). 150 is absolutely more populated than 125.

Yeah it is a touchy balance of too high and the skill cap gets lowered and too low then you miss a lot of invasions. You can really see this difference is Scott and Chases videos where the ganks are less skilled vs Steel and Jee where the ganks are smarter in general. 200+ seems to be the cutoff for most pvp content creators though.

FINALLY he uses it! This has been my favorite weapon since I first got my hands on it and it's done great for me in competitive. Tbh playing it as just usual JR1 HTS is much more optimal than going for the read-heavy combos (both trues and pseudos) especially because of the nutso dmg it does off of JR1s alone, but every landed combo is super satisfying and it's difficult for me to not try to do them bc of that, even if they are for the most part just knowledge checks.

bloodborne players do those boss arena duels you're talking about all the time! we reset the event flags for the boss being alive (despite the fact that it's dead) in Save Wizard so we can matchmake outside and then walk into the arena to fight. I'm not sure if that works in ER but part of why it works in bloodborne is the tight knit community and almost all of us having SW, that way we can easily organize fights.

For friendly duels I recommend the room on the right before Gaius. Rectangular, small enough to pressure corners but big enough to utilize spacing and running attacks

Whose idea was it to make a sword lance hybrid, which also is a boss weapon, a non special regular thrusting sword.
If you haven’t tried this thing also consider a bleed infusion. You get nearly 150 bleed buildup with rather minimal arcane investment.
(The new living flesh consumable grants 10 arcane + a minor damage buff: it makes any arc hybrid build easier to stat out)
since this weapon gets the easy JR1 frame traps and a two hit combo (R2 - R1) having like 130-150 bleed buildup per hit is so scary.
I upgraded this thing to +25 almost as soon as I got it. Was it because of the moveset? No, I'd barely swung it. Was it because I knew it was good? Absolutely not, I figured it would be off meta, truthfully. I did it because it looked cool and I wanted it and I wanted to use it. Glad to be validated.
Seeing as you play on psn, it's worth trying repeating thrust on this, can pseudo out of r2 r1 on low lat (~40ms on pc), was able to get this combo to one shot 60 vigor

thats how i feel when i use blood greatsword (the colossal sword not the class). Deleted 3 people at once in less than 10 seconds. I used to never like colossals but then the poise and hyperarmor changes happened and now its one of the best invasion weapons because of range wide sweeps, hyperarmor and stagger. Really easy to hit multiple people at once and since its pretty much guaranteed poise break you're safe on hit. Really nice to punish aggressive gankers with turn ane burn.
Personally I use repeating thrust with this weapon. It gets a lot of pseudo combos into it. Very fun.

This weapon is best on a heavy infusion. Its heavy infusion outclasses a quality infusion. It is insane.

So many DLC weapons fly under the radar because they're only JUST the best-in-slot normal weapons for their class. They don't have some spammable unique AoW, so PvEs and most invaders just don't give a shit about them.
Yes! I've been running this weapon. On a heavy build It has higher AR than the Zwei, but it feels it's best to bleed infuse it as it gets the same bleed build up as a colossal even tho it's a heavy thrusting sword.
Try out RL 168-200 though man it's fun I swear.

Hey Jee, to your comment about boss rooms making better Colosseums, there actually are some that you can summon Red signs in. You can summon adversaries in the Mausoleum where you fight the Blackgaol Knight(Solitude set guy) near the start of the DLC just west of scorched ruins. You get the boss fog preventing exiting the room and everything.
yeah youre right, only problem is theres no grace there, theres a few areas like that in the base game but its not convenient to fight in because theres no grace near by

Honestly ive been using alot of +24 weapins and doninating in pvp and was actually wondering how much of a difference it really does. Maybe 100-150 points damage at most. Not really that much dofference ive noticed. Im still one shottinf people with certain wepaons not fully upgraded lol
Yeah, +24 works fine. I can never decide which weapons I want fully upgraded.
the last upgrade doesn’t do too much for normal weapons, somber weapons do gain a bit more off that last +10 tho
@@swag489idk it kinda depends though, some of the new dlc weapons will get like 20 more points of damage, but certain ones will get like close to a 100 more, I’m not saying that makes a difference but it definitely can’t hurt

What I use to help players beat young Radahn. Cold affinity busts him up. Lance gets crazy high build up for some reason.
Sword Lance is definitely overused in high levels, at least for pve. I have a level 300 character thats been helping with Radahn and almost everyone either turtle pokes with a cold/bleed sword lance or spams the ever living hell out of the thorn spell
Man spears are the worst to fight against. Other than swift slash and other crazy AoW's

Don't make me add this to my build, I have to cry everytime I have to see what they robbed us of. On a serious note I think it may be worth it for shieldpoke situations since it's probably the highest ar weapon for that.

You know Ived been seeing Jeenine around for years , since he was making DS3 invasion contents and I gotta say something I don’t like about his content is it feels like almost all his content is him complaining or whining about things in the game. Or he takes the game waaaaay too seriously . He’s been like this for as long as I know him. On the other hand it is cool to see his analysis on weapons and a lot of stuff because regardless of how whiny he can be he does have pretty good insight at times and is pretty good at PvP

For successfully escaping being poked to death by 2 strong and fast weapons? And just let yourself trade with every hit until someone dies? For running to a few npc enemies for a brief respite of protection? Like they weren't also capable, and guilty, of protecting each other's asses? And they very easily could have taken care of the birds separately and aside from Jee, but instead threw themselves into a 2v4 and the phantom wastes their time and effort by pointing down twice, while the host fights alone. Really makes me wonder just what the hell is going through these peoples heads with the pointdowns and moments like these. It makes me almost want to interview and talk with these people and ask exactly why they pointed down, lol. The gesture doesn't even feel rude anymore. Honestly, it's just funny to me and shows how upset these people get over a bit of pvp interaction.
Anyway, sorry for the paragraph. The whole interaction was just hilarious to me. Jee actually played really well managing to escape 2 HTS players in tight quarters, narrowly escaping death more than once. Even the host and phantom didn't play too terribly, until the birds were involved. They applied enough pressure and covered each other well enough that they almost killed Jee a couple times, even without crazy AoWs or the "broken and OP" running heavy HTS normally gets.

@@rjarnuco9703 still a build. Just a little more diverse. 200 would make a strength/faith build a little stronger cause you can put more in faith so incantations actually do damage. 200 is better for hybrid builds.

It's 5% damage increase in pvp
Using it with rakshasa armor gives you 11% increased damage when you use the attacks buffed by her armor, so yeah it's strong in pvp at the cost of poise
