In this video you will see a presentation from AC slow charging rates for vw e-up! You can choose between 4 different options: 5Amps, 10 Amps, 13Amps & 16Amps Also you can see the Watts they consume each time! I wonder about the efficiencies of choosing different amperages, and the compromises to speed, loss, range, and cost. There’s surely some energy lost in the plugged energy meter and the charger, plus some in the car in the AC/DC converter and the batteries heating, and that total loss is probably not negligible. PS: at 1:42 the house voltage seems a bit low/fluctuating, but I guess that’s normal for mid-day in your location?
Hello! Thanks again for your comments and for watching my videos :) I think so that the best is the slower! And this is what i am doing, less charging looses, better battery life! The range of the car doesn't change if you slow charge it or fast charge it! In my house the voltage is kind of low always! I don't know why! But really is not a problem (for now)
Hello, thanks for your comment! To be honest I really don't know I've got the car for 15 months and I am charging my car daily up to 80% or 90% sometimes because my battery is much smaller than tesla. So I guess that is the best to do. Also I am mostly charging it during the night for 5 amps. sometimes during the day 16 amps when I need more range for that day Unfortunatelly I don't have anything that I can measure my battery, unless if I will charge it to 100% and then try to make same distance like that: ua-cam.com/video/381CoihRlnk/v-deo.html Subscribe if you want :) Oh I forgot to tell you I rarrely charge it with dc ccs (mostly 99% is ac slow charge from home)
Oh eup :) great! Where are you from? How long do you have it? Here is the same 8 years or 160.000km i think so. But I wish I could have bigger battery or another long range ev also for trips :) At the future I would like an kona or an tesla model 3 ;)
@@porewik hello 👋 I don't have subscription as well, i am using an free app up! Maps and more and is connected via Bluetooth! But i don't have Garmin! Check this app

Tesla recommends for their cars to charge 70-80%. There is a best practice for eUP? What's the best method to charge e-UP for long battery life?

@@GSino Thank you. I have e-UP, too. VW gave me 8-year/99,360 miles guarantee without any recommendation for charging.

Where I can change the rates? We Connect?
Yes! You can change it in both applications. And maps and more and we connect.
Thanks :) please subscribe here bit.ly/marketnetgr
@@GSinois it possible to change it in the car directly please? on the Garmin screen somewhere? my mobile app subscription has expired already...
