to all those who thought Scott was high during this are completly wrong...this tour was probably the "best" Scott's voice ever was...this was the time when he was clean and lifting weights during the No. 4 tour after he got out of jail from when the album was released...this is when he was at his best performing and proabably when he hit his peak. watch this whole concert and still try to tell me he's high cause he's not. Go ST-motherfuckin-P!
Yeah. I agree. He's as sober here as he was when I saw VR’s first club tour when Duff got him into a daily exercise routine. Shame he could not keep it up.
I love how they know how to bring it back, dial it down and not play it too fast. They keep it tight, crisp and right under control and it sounds amazing as a result. So many other mainstream bands struggle with that when they play live.
Drinner D and they keep it as close to the studio version as possible, but make it sound even better on numerous occasions due to the visceral energy that you can't get through the disc. Bravura!
That he freaking was. I am so glad that I was a child in the 90's.....And not one of today's kids...And be subject to today's bad radio music , like Taylor Swift, for starters...(My five year old's favorite songs are Lady Picture Show and About A Fool. Coincidentally, she stopped listening to Taylor Swift, for the most part.)I was 7 and a half when I heard STP, they were tge reason why I was banned from watching MTV at 9 yrs and the reason why my grandmother went over my mom's head and took the band off...Because my mom watched Elvis Presley in 1957, when my mom was 14. Thank You Gram. RIP Scott rest easy. Somewhere up there awesome music is happening.
Your right Talia and Andrew, and is one of my favorite songs by STP. I feel so bad that Scott couldn't overcome his demons, they were the same demons that took Layne, Shannon, Brad, Janis, Jimi, and Andrew Wood down. Miss you Scott 12/3/21.
I cannot stop listening to that pumped up dude in the audience. "I AM READY!!!!!!!!!!!" Had I been there for this show, I would have been equally psyched out! That dude sounds fucking hilarious though...I think that the coke was flowing freely that evening. Sounds awesome....
The vocal production is insane. Shoutout to the engineer for taking an amazing performance to the next level. Really reading and following Scotts delivery.
I seen them live on their first tour opening for Megadeth. The only song I knew was Sex Type Thing from the video. But after hearing songs like Dead & Bloated, Plush, Piece of Pie. etc, I became an instant fan. Some Megadeth heads were kinda booing but I was very impressed. I went there thinking they were just a flash in the pan but I left there almost certain they would become a top level band. Sure Enough.
The video with rest of the house of blues 2000 concert with Wicked Garden is gone, which sucks. He's got a blue shirt on in it. That was the best I've ever seen Scott.
all #4 of the these guys are great. someday I hope they can replace Scott. Not sure about the chance of anyone taking that man's greatness. He was something so spectacular. I wish all#3 the best of luck.RJE
you could pull a locomotive with that riff
joethebar1 Brilliantly said!
Damn right
THIS is a top comment
Love that. Love how the rythym and tempo is completely connected. Fast, slow, everyone is on board.

I hope the sound guy got a raise after this show.

It's cause Robert deleo is so good at holding it all together and playing in time. I swear he's the greatest grunge bassist

Best performance of this song.
Talia Price such energy, though he changed the chorus around the final two times, omitting " wearing a crown ". Great lyricist. R.I.P.
Andrew Lockett I caught that too
He said dressed like a clown twice
i love you
