Warren G is so super underrated!!! He's just as important to Hip-Hop as Dr.Dre and Snoop. His music stands on its own!!! Which is hard to do.. and his music was and is always so clear and clean just a whole vibe anytime of the year... it always feels like a summer party when Warren g is played
Listening to music like this reminds me of how great of an era the 90’s & the early 2000’s truly were! Every genre of music was at its pinnacle. There will never be music like this ever again. As a guy that lives in Finland and came last week back from Cali, maaan i just wanna go back there.. i mean i remember just laying back watching the sunset in Venice beach ’bout to spark up a blunt with this song playing was easily the best moment in my whole life. This song just reminds me too much of the time i had back in L.A, San Diego and Vegas. After the whole trip i’ve made a promise that within 4-5 years i’ll be residing in California doesn’t even matter where. living in Finland is depressing, i mean literally everyone here is unsocial and the whole country itself is fucked up and negative in every way. For me California felt more like a home than my actual home does. Wish i can just live there and start my life all over again. Warren G is a genius and gives you the whole California vibes when his songs play.
Warren G - This DJ and/or Regulators (featuring Nate Dogg) Nate Dogg's baritone voice is one of a kind. If he's on your track, it's a guaranteed BANGER!
ditto, summers almost out now tho. dealin with a brothers passing. This was his shit man. bout to talk to his mom after his 1 year mark. I can do this, I love him so much.
This shit dropped my senior year. 2022, still grooving to it. I still have my mix tape from 1994! Fuck, man, this still hits me in the chest. Those were the days.
Yungstas take notes 94 beginning of "G"funk Era Good times For sho had to be there to understand wat tf I'm saying props 4 listening 2 da real of the real right here!!! Peace 361!!!
Fun Fact: This album runtime was only about 37 minutes long. This is still one of the best hip hop albums ever released in my opinion. Quality over quantity!
I remember it being 33 minutes, but you might be right. Nevertheless, one of the reasons it is a masterpiece is because it is short but sweet, not convoluted. Every track was at least a B, like The Fugee’s The Score, Dr. Dre’s the Chronic, Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, and Nas’ Illmatic.
Love this tune..I was in 8th grade when this album came out. Awesome memories!!!Even though I was a headbanger/metalhead/rock guy, I still had respect for good hip hop. Nothing can touch the 90's when it comes to rock or hip hop. I can't and won't listen to the new garbage on the radio or tv.
+jpratx People saying that everything was better back then is purely subjective, and based on nostalgia and romanticism. People have been saying since the birth of man that "This generation is worse than mine" and "It was better back then".
Yes. You might prefer music from the 90's, because that's back when you enjoyed that type of music, and that's totally fine :) Everyone has their preference, as long as people don't claim that their preference is "objectively" better.
90's rappers had a huge advantage over today's rappers because they were able to sample all the hit songs from the 70's and 80's that many hiphop fans had never heard before.
Met Warren G a few times! He’s so chill always shows love. First time I met him I was a cheerleading coach and his son played for the pop warner team my team was going against. It was funny lol
zakaria chahidi hiphop didn’t die, but the term itself has come to include alot of stuff that isn’t really hiphop. That comercial junk is what the broad public tend to associate with hiphop nowadays, but good shit is still being recorded and produced in major volume my man. 🙌
I have to say this, along with anything including Nate Dogg, or even some Mac Dre and Tupac songs are perfect for parties, relaxing, smoking, or even doing the you know what.
Warren G literally saved Def Jam back then. The label was dead in the water and on life support. His arrival ensured the continued success of the label. Been riding with Warren G since he broke through.

GTA V - West Coast Classics
This shit dropped my senior year. 2022, still grooving to it. I still have my mix tape from 1994! Fuck, man, this still hits me in the chest. Those were the days.
It came out when i was in the 9th grade😊
Yungstas take notes 94 beginning of "G"funk Era Good times For sho had to be there to understand wat tf I'm saying props 4 listening 2 da real of the real right here!!! Peace 361!!!
jesus i hate decoding peoples posts that do this
Fun Fact: This album runtime was only about 37 minutes long.
This is still one of the best hip hop albums ever released in my opinion.
Quality over quantity!
T3ch3m1cal yes I remember having this classic album 25 years ago thinking why Isn’t this longer !?
Quality over quantity indeed !
What’s the album called?
@@arnoldhaube8654 regulate... g funk era
Just like Illmatic, both quality over quantity
Love this tune..I was in 8th grade when this album came out. Awesome memories!!!Even though I was a headbanger/metalhead/rock guy, I still had respect for good hip hop. Nothing can touch the 90's when it comes to rock or hip hop. I can't and won't listen to the new garbage on the radio or tv.
Right on man. It ain't what it used to be.
+jpratx People saying that everything was better back then is purely subjective, and based on nostalgia and romanticism. People have been saying since the birth of man that "This generation is worse than mine" and "It was better back then".
PlasmaCross LoL that's true. It's all a matter of taste and preference.
Yes. You might prefer music from the 90's, because that's back when you enjoyed that type of music, and that's totally fine :) Everyone has their preference, as long as people don't claim that their preference is "objectively" better.
+Doug Prishpreed Darwins wating room's 96 album was their best.
this is when hiphop pumping
SANflix pumping?
Wild Klan pumping?
Right.. when we could understand what they were saying! AND they told a story in a song..
Wie oft ich geweint habe. Einfach Kindheit das Lied. Ufffff
THIS is hiphop

Je croyais que les marseillais écoutaient jul et tout mais tu me prouve le contrair
OMG the nostalgia is too tuff!! g-funk era!!!! fam this was Epik when it dropped. mumble rappers will never overstand! 1-8-2017
90's rappers had a huge advantage over today's rappers because they were able to sample all the hit songs from the 70's and 80's that many hiphop fans had never heard before.
Exactly that is how I learned my old school music and also the music my dad played around the house. I learned more old school from the samples.
Bro lil pump is nothing compared to this kind of rappers haha theres no money and bitches on these songs
I was thinking that too. That is very true. But the artist ryhmes and personality was very unique.
They still do that
Dick Aprio u
Rockstar!! Beautiful Song.
I love when artists use these types of synth tracks. It's so simple yet always sounds so good.
Met Warren G a few times! He’s so chill always shows love. First time I met him I was a cheerleading coach and his son played for the pop warner team my team was going against. It was funny lol

Listening to all these beautiful old school hip-hop makes me sad because hip-hop has died long time ago
September 13, 1996
if im not mistaking 🤔
zakaria chahidi hiphop didn’t die, but the term itself has come to include alot of stuff that isn’t really hiphop. That comercial junk is what the broad public tend to associate with hiphop nowadays, but good shit is still being recorded and produced in major volume my man. 🙌
zakaria chahidi lmao hip hop never died and never will. You just don’t know how to find good new school music.
Hahahahahha idiot
Spotted the oldhead
I have to say this, along with anything including Nate Dogg, or even some Mac Dre and Tupac songs are perfect for parties, relaxing, smoking, or even doing the you know what.
Beating the meat?
True
Having sex
Warren G literally saved Def Jam back then. The label was dead in the water and on life support. His arrival ensured the continued success of the label. Been riding with Warren G since he broke through.
I love this song it’s so soothing 😍❤️
Exactly, it’s rap but so easy to understand and listen to
You got Insta?
