Verbale needs to work on Defense..he took a lot of punches he didn’t have to..he has a good jab..but he didn’t use it enough..El Gallo Negro lots of talent good chin..good defense..has the talent..he wore Verbale down..
These guys did pretty good for a couple of amateurs! They both had good balance, good footwork, they could counter and they got back into position after missing.
Congrats to both. Either would beat 90% of people fighting in all these much higher rated UA-cam channels. Lots of skills. Too bad someone doesn’t get them in a real Boxing Gym, real potential of both.

Why all this black dudes think they Mayweather? Seriously, improper technique of the Philly Shell can get you hurt. Your suppose to hide your chin by lifting you shoulder up to do the shoulder roll. The shoulder roll is ONE component of the Philly Shell. You have to know how to block, parry, and move. Philly Shell also involves you transitioning to the high guard as well. Y’all want to look cute with it but it takes a whole lot of work to master it!
El Gallo Negro was holding back. I think if he wanted too, he could of gotten at least a knock down. Especially when Verdale was sucking wind at the end.
Black dude needs to work on his straight right hand. Needs to release it with elbows tucked in closer to rib cage. Needs to work on his right hand timing as well. Potential from both guys either way
I Saw it as a draw tbh. In a lot of the major flurries orange shorts blocked a lot of the shots and got counters off but if you not payin attention it looks another way. Either way it’s not going on boxrec so good experience nonetheless
The philly shell style is the hardest boxing style to master and should never be used by non-professional boxers. Even the professionals who know what they're doing get KO tf out using that style. Andrian Broner vs Marcos Maidna being a prime example.

You should hit up a gym. It’s a great feeling, the nerves, then the combat experience. Your adrenaline is running through your veins and helps you absorb the pain better, so it’s not really that painful, you’re more focused on executing punches, defense, and less focused on pain. Try it sometime.
