Oh I thought you guys were all caught up with this show. Nice surprise though. All the MHA intros except Peace Sign took a while to really get into. Which is surprising for big shonen because they normally have intros that you can get into almost immediately. Maybe it's just me.

For me Peace Sign is the only one I still can't get into. But I got the meaning behind the rest of the openings pretty quickly, which is why I liked them immediately. But then again I am a manga reader so I am more keen to see some minor details and messages that crrators left in OPs - even how the beat and pacing work usually are references to the actual show, so like I just can't dislike the songs. On top of it they used bands like Amazarashi and Uverworld who already have iconic anime songs under their belts and I knew what I should expect from them.

Really like all these ops but the 2nd last one might be my fav.
Mine is the first one. Middle is okay, but beginning and chorus are amazing.
I feel like with 4, you either absolutely LOVE it or absolutely HATE it. at least that's what I've picked up from most peoples' reactions.
8:55 The issue is that Uverworld loves doing late choruses. And showrunners actually did great job picking up them for this specific opening, as actual tempo of the song is reference to the show itself. It is unique way of telling a story not many other shows do. Also buy better audio - cause the bass really hits more in the Muscular moment.

one ting to keep in mind is that the author of my hero academia likes to take time to create world building and character building (one to three caps more of less), so a lot of people don't like when nothing exiting is happening but it helps a lot when things are happening

The thing about MHA is that its a really good show, but for some reason I don’t really have any emotional attachment to it. Naruto and One Piece really hit me when I watch them, but with this its just “damn that was a pretty cool moment” and thats it.
I’d say I love this show but when I say that, the fan base would probably try to recruit me or something 😂

If it's female characters with good writing that you're looking for, might as well start Gintama lol. All the recurring characters in Gintama each have great stories and even some nonrecurring characters. The female characters get represented a lot too

If Lindsey's wanting to watch a shounen with good female representation, I'd say Black Clover and Jujutsu Kaisen are probably better than MHA. MHA starts off with cool female characters, but a lot of them are later pushed to the side and they're bid moments are usually just supportive roles. Black Clover and JJK have lots of badass and useful female characters.
I'm a bit late, but the manga has some really good female character moments, so soon, your mind might change

Mha kinda took a dip in animation quality after s3. S4 and s5 had major issues with prodiction.
The manga was amazing but the anime was meh.
I hope s6 brings back the animation quality

I think MHA openings started off really good, with the first opening being probably in my top 50 favorite openings ever, and then each opening is a bit worse than the last.
