I bleached the denim upper of my Concepts Airmax 1 Heavy sneakers!!!

- This is a custom I decided to do after consulting with a good friend of mine that professionally customs denim jackets and jeans. The process he uses/recommends for jackets/jeans/purses is to dilute the bleach with water in a tub, sink or large bucket/pal. Then place large items such as again, jackets or jeans in the tub etc to allow it to soak. He recommended using a small brush and diluting the bleach by dipping the brush in water. The use of a brush is so that you can control the areas you want lightened. As long as you dilute the bleach with water you will be fine! Another great method is to fill a cup with water about halfway, then pour in about a cap full of bleach. This is a relatively easy custom, but ONLY attempt if you are comfortable!
Your bleach job came out very well! Agree with you that this was a homerun collab but the hypebeasts aren't messing with them so I was able to get the first two pairs for very reasonable resell prices. Pretty much a sneakerhead's dream come true.

Damn, the darker pairs are wayyyy doper imo. Definitely more sought after. Even Deon Point that designed them was saying he wished his had way more dark in em. To each his own tho. Only thing is the bleach spots look yellow here
When I took them out of the box after they arrived I was so disappointed. I almost sold them, but my boy said you should bleach em. He walked me through what to do and I couldn't be happier with the results! I hope everyone that prefers darker denim is able to get the pair they want. Thanks for watching!
Mine came out dark and I like them I got all three from the set I personally like them very much makes each pair unique .

Appreciate the video you made. I may have to apply this to my pair of mellows as the the toe box is really dark on both and the lateral side on one shoe is really dark. The swoosh doesn't really pop because of this. It's odd though as most mellows I've seen are mostly all white denim
That's the same way I felt. Most pairs I saw were light denim. If lighter is what you want I say go for it. Just make sure you use a small brush
@@Sneakdiss.23 I think the mellows look better lighter than dark denim. But aim not to make it too light The heavy's I have I can't really fault as they have a good mix of dark and light denim
Very cool..but in my opinion some people would prefer the dark denim especially on the toe box..bc you can see the stitched symbols much better than in the lighter denims.. I agree..I prefer the darker denim for this specific reason...and you should let your pair just age naturally?..I know some people were trying to trade their lighter denim pairs for dark ones..lol

I want to do this. But lowkey nervous. Any additional tips?
My biggest point is to use a small brush so that you'll only touch the area you want to lighten. Only other thing I can think of is to tape off the mudguard with painter tape.
@@Sneakdiss.23 my biggest fear is that the color won’t turn into the dark blue once the bleach is applied. Just nervous it’ll become some other color.
