Dolby digital sound only comes when content is played via fire stick. Set top box does not support dolby sound. No set top box at present supports dobly digital in india, neither airtel, tatasky nor jio set top.

Hdmi 2.0 is enough to get surround sound. 2.1 is needed for dolby atmos. Yes you will get 5.1 sound but via fire stick only. As set top box does not support 5.1 surround. TV arc port wotks fine connections are simple and are given in my video. Thanks

In dts virtual x mode youtube videos are not play the vocals in the center channel, the vocals are playing in rear speakers and front left and right and noisy. But 5.1 movies are playing the vocals in center channel. Any solution to play 5.1 in youtube dts virtual x mode ?
When you play UA-cam it's content is played in pcm 2 channel mode. You won't get 5.1 audio in UA-cam content as it doesn't support that. Only some content from Netflix and prime supports 5.1 Dolby digital which you can check by pressing the i button of remote during content play. DTS virtual x tries to give you 5.1 surround like experience for pcm 2 channel contents. Hope this helps!

Atmos is totally a different experience. If your TV has eARC port then my suggestion go for atmos soundbar. Ek baar ka investment life time ka enjoy. Agar apke paas budget abhi na ho then you can go for this soundbar. DTS virtual X is quite good and does the job.

Surround is there in Sony s40r. But rear speakers sound is low in Sony. In Samsung you can also increase rear speaker sound. And believe me surround of Samsung is far more better than Sony. Sony gives you heavy bass. At higher volume levels only bass can be felt in Sony,but Samsung you will get bass and good voice clarity too.

Maine STB via hdmi port TV se connect kia hai aur STB ka Optical port soundbar me connect kia hai. Isse DJIN wale mode pe mujhe STB content and sound dono mil jate hai. Fire stick maine soundbar ke hdmi in port me connect kia hai usse mujhe HDMI option me fire stick content mil jata hai. Aur soundbar ka hdmi out port main TV ke hdmi port se connect kia hai. This solves all the issues and you can biew everything seamlessly.

Yes sir, TV se sound ata hai in both cases, set top box ka sound bhi tv me ata hai aur fire stick ka sound bhi tv me ata hai. So I keep TV volume at zero always. Jab bacche padh raho ho then only I keep soundbar on mute and use TV volume instead. Hope this helps.

Hi bro i recently bought this by seeing your review but iam facing one issue when i play any content which has dts or dolby digital it automatically detects and gives the surround effect but the vocal clarity is very very poor(low) in dts x virtual mode but the rear sound effect is extremely good with high sound but if i change to other modes vocal clarity is excellent i give 5/5 for that vocal clarity but rear speaker sound very very low.. i did the firmware update also still it is like that only please tell me whether you are also experiencing the same issue or not😭😭😭
No bro I am not facing any such issues. I use dtx virtual mode only and all clarity and effects are good. Have you tried to increase rear speaker sound and then experience surround effect? I have not updated firmware. From where did you purchase?
First of all thanks for your reply. I don't have tv iam using laptop Now the issue is solved somehow Let me tell you how I solved that, I called the Samsung customer service they told me to restart the soundbar by pressing volume + & - button together after that the rear speaker sound is really good by compare to dts x mode all other mode the rear speaker sound is very less only but in dts x the voice clarity is not good so iam using other modes and also in other modes voice enhancement option is available it gives crystal clear sound of vocals. Few days back only I got to know this sound bar support Dolby Atmos also which means it will convert the Dolby Atmos to Dolby digital by using kodi app, this app provides excellent picture quality compared to vlc And I did the firmware update in Samsung official website.
Connection methodology is simple. You have to connect hdmi arc port of TV to soundbar output port and connect your set top box to soundbar input port. You will get sound.

Bro Samsung wins in this. Sony s40r is bass based. It's bass is very punchy. I have heard both. Samsung clearly wins.

Surround is there in Sony s40r. But rear speakers sound is low in Sony. In Samsung you can also increase rear speaker sound. And believe me surround of Samsung is far more better than Sony. Sony gives you heavy bass. At higher volume levels only bass can be felt in Sony,but Samsung you will get bass and good voice clarity too.

Rear speakers se dialogues and sound dono atey hai. Listen in DTS Virtual X mode. It gives the best sound output.

Maine STB via hdmi port TV se connect kia hai aur STB ka Optical port soundbar me connect kia hai. Isse DJIN wale mode pe mujhe STB content and sound dono mil jate hai.
Fire stick maine soundbar ke hdmi in port me connect kia hai usse mujhe HDMI option me fire stick content mil jata hai.
Aur soundbar ka hdmi out port main TV ke hdmi port se connect kia hai.
This solves all the issues and you can biew everything seamlessly.
Sir iss setup me aapne hdmi in me fire tv diya hai…..secondly aapne hdmi arc ko tv se connect kiya hai….kya tv me video ke saath audio bhi transfer hota hai mtlab tv se b sound aa sakta ha?? Bcs mai projector use karta hu jisme audio out me 3.5 mm jack h ….aur mje ek extra active subwoofer use karna hai…..agar apke case me tv se awaaj aati hai to projector me bhi ayega aur mera kaam ho jayega……pls
Yes sir, TV se sound ata hai in both cases, set top box ka sound bhi tv me ata hai aur fire stick ka sound bhi tv me ata hai. So I keep TV volume at zero always. Jab bacche padh raho ho then only I keep soundbar on mute and use TV volume instead. Hope this helps.

Thanks bhai for watching video. Sound mode isme 5 type ke hai. Standard,Virtual X , surround, game mode & adaptive. Ye sare mode sabhi me chalte hai. USB,hdmi,DJN, Bluetooth…sabhi mein ye 5 modes kaam karte hai.

Hi bro i recently bought this by seeing your review but iam facing one issue when i play any content which has dts or dolby digital it automatically detects and gives the surround effect but the vocal clarity is very very poor(low) in dts x virtual mode but the rear sound effect is extremely good with high sound but if i change to other modes vocal clarity is excellent i give 5/5 for that vocal clarity but rear speaker sound very very low.. i did the firmware update also still it is like that only please tell me whether you are also experiencing the same issue or not😭😭😭
No bro I am not facing any such issues. I use dtx virtual mode only and all clarity and effects are good. Have you tried to increase rear speaker sound and then experience surround effect? I have not updated firmware. From where did you purchase?
Some content in which I dont require high sounds I use surround effect. Rest all I use dts virtual x only.

Now the issue is solved somehow
Let me tell you how I solved that, I called the Samsung customer service they told me to restart the soundbar by pressing volume + & - button together after that the rear speaker sound is really good by compare to dts x mode all other mode the rear speaker sound is very less only but in dts x the voice clarity is not good so iam using other modes and also in other modes voice enhancement option is available it gives crystal clear sound of vocals.
Few days back only I got to know this sound bar support Dolby Atmos also which means it will convert the Dolby Atmos to Dolby digital by using kodi app, this app provides excellent picture quality compared to vlc
And I did the firmware update in Samsung official website.

Connection methodology is simple. You have to connect hdmi arc port of TV to soundbar output port and connect your set top box to soundbar input port. You will get sound.
