    Wow this is really imaginative. You have some serious watercolour skillz!!
    I only paint in acrylic and oil, I've never been very good at watercolours for some reason :/

    This is such a nice piece! It is very creative and interesting to look at. It gives off a calming vibe to me when I see it; I think the arrangement of colors and harmony in them helped. You did a very good job with this, love!
    I can't even touch paint without ruining an illustration I've made . . . It just never seems to work out. XD

    this is sooooo good i just have a question i want to improve at art too but im stuck at drawing only faces and i dont know what to do!!! like you know how u have verity in ur work how do u do it!!!?

      +marium ahmad I actually don't think I really have much variety in my work; it's basically all portraits, haha. But I'd say for you just go at it step by step. Start to add the shoulders and neck to your face drawings or maybe try and have the person touching their face with their hand. Go slowly so you don't overwhelm yourself with new/different things that you're trying to draw; try and add more things in one at a time.

      +Julia Rodriguez aw, thanks! I actually always put how long the art takes at the end of the video for future reference. It really depends on what the painting/drawing is; generally I'd say it takes me about 30mins - 1 hour for the sketch but colouring varies a lot from piece to piece.

      +Sophia Hinshaw it's called a SmudgeGuard. There are a couple of other companies that make them too now; they're normally marketed to be used with drawing tablets to ease friction.

    I love this! It's really pretty ! :) But how did you manage to draw the castle ( I think thats ganons castle?) that detailed with watercolor without it running into the other colors if you understand what I mean ? :D Did you wait for the background to dry? Because with the ear I saw the cooer running into each other but the tip of the castle looks so sharp :o

    • @studioofmm
      @studioofmm  7 років тому +1

      +Yui Chan thanks! It's actually coloured pencil over watercolour. Originally I was planning on doing it entirely in watercolour but I tried out a new type of paper that day and it was an epic fail XD adding the pencil over top was the only way to save the painting.

    • @yuichan5710
      @yuichan5710 7 років тому

      Than you so much for answering! But it already looks so sharp before you use them! I mean at 2:10 !! x3 ''to save the painting''? :D I think it looked/lookas awesome!!!!

    • @studioofmm
      @studioofmm  7 років тому +1

      +Yui Chan it's really just layering up the paint. With watercolour you really have to work from light to dark so the sharpness is probably just the contrast between the misty background and the dark castle in shadow. Haha, thanks! The paper was really like a sponge though; you can't really see it on camera but I'd end up putting my brush to the page and all of the paint on my brush would just be gone in that one spot. Blending was a nightmare XD I am definitely happy with how it turned out but I very vividly remember myself freaking out when the paper started doing weird stuff, haha.

      ahh okay thank you ! :33 ohh ok x33 hahahaha x'33 Thanks to you and some other artists I've really been back into watercolors and sketching! I learned a lot from watching youtube videos but now it's time I start drawing myself x3 So thank you for inspiring me ! I've seen some comments about how you deserve more subscribers and I really think so as well!! :)
