You've got this! I had the gastric sleeve on 06/10/22... best decision ever. Week 1 of the liver reduction diet was the worst for me, but after that it was no problem.
Awww thank you darling I'm really trying to stay strong. So glad I can share my experience with you all and its so great to hear back from so many of you whole have already had it. 🤗🥰
Well done for making the choice to be healthy. I had weight loss surgery two months ago and did the milk diet. Crusha was my best friend!! I had my oxo in the evening for something savoury to look forward to. Good luck with everything!
This will be the best thing you have ever done, I’m 2 yrs post op I have lost 15.5 st I have my life back I had so many issues & illnesses because of my weight including fibromyalgia I had to take so many medications for, I am off all medication can run 5k per day & just generally love life these days. I am now going to have upper body lift next month in Turkey. I had sleeve done in uk. Good luck in your journey. ❤
Wow that bloody amazing 👏🏽 Well done you 🤗🥰 I hope I can do this kind of thing once my weight comes down. 🙏🏽 Good love for your skin removal surgery ✨️ do let me know how you get on won't you Carol. Look forward to hearing from you again soon. Take care xx
Hi, please don't worry that you will lose any part of yourself but weight. I had the surgery at UCL Euston 5 years ago and it was the best decision ever. Much love❤
So happy for you my lovely, going through weight loss surgery. I had Sleeve Gastrectomy on 26 July, so I’m on the puréed food stage at the moment. The weight loss has slowed down but I am now steadily losing. I was referred to NHS weight loss, however four years later, I’m still waiting and not even on the list yet. So, I decided on private surgery. I chose a great hospital close to where I live. Wishing you lots of luck, and I will be following your recovery and journey xx
So sorry you have not had the best of times recently. Wishing you a speedy recovery from surgery. I am presently dieting. Being really strict but the weight loss is really slow. Have had my thyroid removed which makes weight loss difficult. I have six stone to lose so I will have to start exercising to try and boost my metabolism. Not easy after the menopause either. Just mad with myself for allowing my weight to balloon. Lovely to see your smiling face again. Wendy
Hi Wendy So nice to hear from you 🤗🥰 And thank you for my well wishes. You have also got this too my love you can do it, just try and keep focus and I know you will get to wear you want to be. Xxx
Hi Jodie I just wanted to say welcome back and I’m also on the list for surgery I’m on the 6 month plan and have just started I would love to hear your point of view about it x
Hello Jodie, how lovely to see you. I am with you on the camera down the throat. Have had it done 3 times, 2nd 2 I was put to sleep. Its awful. I would not rush to have your knees done as you may find as you continue to lose weight they may start to feel better. Most people I know who have had knee replacements say it is the worst. You will have to change your UA-cam title to "Big (used to be),Pretty Me". Good luck with everything, Much Love.
Hi Jodie I was only thinking about you the other day that I hadn’t seen you for a while . Omg I’m so excited to see your journey with the WLS you must be excited and nervous too . I’ve thought about it on the odd occasion so it will be great to see your journey x
Edit a long blether for sure. Heck had to jump on before watching the rest. Flashback kitchen ceiling. My kitchen fell in on the day of my daughters Christening... On top of all the food I had spent yonks creating... It was a laugh or cry situation. I will put it down to baby hormones as daughter was 6 weeks old. I sat on kitchen floor and hooted with laughter it was a Sunday morning so nothing could be done till the Monday. Hello Jodie good to see you wow Kamarley has grown had to laugh at your older son's look at breakfast a typical teenager... you and hubby look so happy on your date day. I joined IG to try and chat about how my daughters husband us as parents and her friends have found life post WLS after our last chat in comments but heck I can not understand IG at all but I am a technophobe for sure. I have utter confidence you will get thro each stage as they each bring unique challales and some times you have to go back to go forward. My daughter had her 1st surgery last Nov on NHS we now know reason why but things did not go as planned and 2nd Surgery day after followed by what she describes, and so would we 6 months of hell. The 3rd Surgery was in May and within days the difference was like chalk and cheese. The complication she had was very rare and luckily had a junior surgeon who went and researched her issues and came up with suggestion that tho issue not picked up on usual scans do a different one and low and behold there was issue her consultant was amazed and shocked. After all this knowing the huge challanges she went thro my daughter has said after intial surgery even tho done due to health issues had she known what next 6 months like she would not have done surgery HOWEVER after surgery in May she is now saying mum that 6 months was hell but worth it. The difference in her size amazing but more importantly her health issues improving... she has swimming programme made by physio she does at least x2 a week and does have rubbish days but more good ones. The hardest part now is meeting her protein goals as things she loved now hates things she hated loves and it constantly changes but will get there. Her husband and ourselves have struggled at times finding best way to support her... I have been as mum given tuff love role so like today when she is moaning only wants coffee I am one to go all this surgery will be wasted if you do not buck up.. The joy of being mum good job I have thick skin. WLS is certainly not a easy fix but sometimes a necessary tool to fix other issues. As I say I have no doubt you will get thro both with supportive family and us to just jump on and go blah if you need. A last laugh our rescue dog is, a huge Standard Poodle who is obsessed with ice cream van that visits 4-6pm on Sunday how he knows time and day who knows but he parks himself at window as soon as music plays off he runs to door barking. My husband now takes out his "ice cream bowl" and man gives 1 scoop no sprinkles but a dog bone treat on top he loves it. Lordi ice cream music at your end had said dog going round in circles so husband dispatched to shop for a ice cream 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ the dog is not spoilt... I roll my eyes. Have a lovely weekend 💜🥰💜
Awww, thank you so much for this message it really has cheered me up. I'm so glad your daughter is doing better now. And yes, I'm a bit of a tough love mum too. Hahaha that made me chuckle about your dog lol 😆 I so look forward to seeing you in my next video. Take good care of yourself xx
Hi Jodie and Kenny and your boys, I really really really am enjoying these vlogs of yours ❤ you don't know how happy I get when I see you've uploaded because I know its going to be a good one 😂 I love everything about you and Kenny I love how he makes you happy Jodie 😊 it's just so nice to watch you both together. I watch other people on here showing what groceries they bought but I've not seen anyone give a run down of what they use things for. I mean, my mum used to give me Carnation milk with jelly and fruit when I was little and I completely forgot about it 😂 but hearing you talk about it, I'm off to get some tomorrow and pour it over some jelly! Brings back the good old days 😂 seriously though Jodie, please don't stop doing these vlogs because I'm sure I'm not the only one enjoying them your doing a great job with everything ❤ ok, I'm going to do some housework now and get the dinner on so I'll see you in your next video/vlog ❤ oh, and I love how you too embrace your African side 😂❤ love it ❤😂 and hope you all are having a lovely Sunday, chow 😂😂❤
Hello Lovely Awwww, this comment is so lovely. Honestly, I feel so lucky to have such beautiful people like yourself, enjoy the videos I make. Omg I can't believe your mum used to give that to you too when you were little. That's amazing. I've never met anyone else who has had it. Most people think I'm mad, lol. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, my love. Thank you for being part of my youTube family, and please do comment again. Take good care of yourself. 💕
hi!!! glad to see your beautiful face. I absolutely love your vlogs. Date nights are the best, keeps the love alive in a marriage. I'm about to binge watch all your videos now.
I've done this diet with my husband before he had weight loss surgery. Personally I think there should be a pre diet before this real diet. Especially for people with big appetites. He has lost 8 stone. I have lost nearly 9 stone with Intermittent fasting. Did two meals a day for 6 months. Did omad for 1 month. Did a full fast for 16 days. All made easier, not cooking for a big hungry trucker. We are living our new lives I saved us 14k in medical costs. . Goodluck with your journey..... you are in charge of your own health.
Hi Jodie so- great to have you back I look forward to viewing & supporting your weight loss surgery I think you are being very brave - I too have had major surgery which could have been made a lot easier my surgeon tells me if I had have been a few stones/Kilos lighter - he has refused to operate any further until I lose a little weight -(what a nice man I won;t telly you what I called him) under my breath of course) but I do accept that he is protecting my health
Hi Lorraine So happy to be back 🤗🥰 thank you so much. Totally get your experience with your doctor as my surgeon won't do my knees replacement until I'm at least 8 stone lighter. So that's one of the reasons for me having the op. I guess they are looking out for our health. Hopefully you will get to were u need to be to get the help you need. Xx
Hi Jodie, So glad you're now embarking on your newn weight loss journey. I am sure you will be successful znd you've got this!👌🏿👊🏿🥰 I look forward to the updates. But rest asssured....the real you will always shine through even in the 'smaller' you. You have always been athentic to me, so that will come across as the plus size smaller version of yourself!🙋🏾♀️ Bigprettyme may have to be changed to 'AuthenticallyMe'!😊💕 Stay blessed and best wishes 🧡
I did the milk one, but i did put a small amount like half teaspoon of brown sauce in the oxo had 2 a day, its shit but stay with it, im glad your not having a gastric band like i did, ive had mine in for 11 yrs and its still a stuggle, if you need to ask anything im here for you ❤❤❤
I’m sorry for your experience with the surgeon he wasn’t professional at all and you don’t have to except bad behavior you can speak with the administrator.
Jodie I forgot to ask why are you having weight lost surgery you're not obesed you looks nice in your clothes nothing wrong with being plus size you could be a plus sized model.if its an health issue I understand why you're having it but you looks beautiful love you im so glad you're back I hoped you will have future videos.
