City of Adelaide (The Carrick) finally Leaves Irvine

After a failed attempt yesterday the Carrick is finally towed out of Irvine harbour on its 1st stage of its trip to Adelaide, Australia.

Thanks for posting...I have been fascinated by this Glasgow landmark for years...been on board a few times,but glad to see she is going back home to be restored....hoping one day to get back on board! Wanted to be there on day video is recording,but work prevented. Many many thanks for posting this historic event of her departure. 👏👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😉

how odd to see how things have changed , sadly people arriving in little wooden boats are no longer welcome in Australia , even though that is exactly how ancestors of most Australian people actually first arrived here .
