That makes no sense. If his parents were helping him "escape" they wouldn't call and report him missing, that should be common sense really. They didn't have any responsibility to report his whereabouts to police, so them calling police and reporting him missing would be the last thing they would do if their intent was him getting away or hiding. Just think about it, they didn't have to tell police anything so Brian could have kept running without police and FBI searching for him, with his parents reporting him missing that brought out hundreds of police/agents/searchers looking to find him. The ONLY reason we or police know he wasn't around anymore is b/c of his parents. Brian could have been still running to this day without the public or police knowing he was running. His parents getting police involved by reporting him missing probably cost him a week or 2 of extra time he could travel reasonably freely(the federal indictment was most likely only sought b/c he was missing and that arrest warrant gave them grounds to hold him when/if he's found). IMO his parents reporting him missing proves they WEREN'T helping him flee.
Because the parents lied. They lied about where and when he actually ‘went missing.’ He’s not missing and he’s not in danger, the parents are too calm for that thinking. To think they’re being honest as to where to search verses being dishonest in order to give him time to escape another way. I do believe they have him stashed out of the country. They didn’t go to all this trouble to stick him on a trail where he can be spotted and brought to justice. Very easy to put him on a boat to a country with no extradition treaty with the US.
