Gregor, I'm now starting to think I might want one of these (version-2) Huben K1s. I hope you will test the accuracy at different power settings (which I believe will mean using different pellets). Good job pointing out the new features. Thank you

Is version one OK to buy? The seller says it has a slow leak and is selling as is half price. Fairly handy and I will go on your disassembly to rebuild.
Overall, V1 was just fine. If you are willing to play with it a little bit more to get it shoot right, it should be OK, but you should solve the slow leak, that might be quite hard to find...

No. I use it with original barrel
I received my ken huben today. the springs dishes are in the setting you use Gregor. I could not cluster with jsb 18 and barracuda Mach. Unfortunately, I only have these pellets.

I have 6,35 Cricket so my compartment is for that caliber: Cricket can be slightly more accurate but not by much. Huben will shoot bullets at an amazing power and accuracy, therefore it will be less sensitive (in terms to holdover and wind) long range option. There if also a semi-auto fun factor with Huben... Trigger will be better on the Cricket...

What kind of Bipod are you using and how is it mounted? Love your posts... very helpful and interesting!
It is the cheapest bipod I found on EBay. It costs about 13 usd and It is great. I think it is a Harris clone...
How is it mounted? The hole on the front of my Huben stock has a rubber grommet and doesn't appear to have threads. Did you drill holes for your mount? Thanks!
You can either make threads or just make a slightly larger hole and screw in a sling screw. I do not know if you will be able to see the link of what I bough, but here it is:

Pozdrav. Moj bipod nije za šine nego je Swivel bolt/screw. To je najenostavnija opcije jer trabaš samo staviti vijak u več napravljenu rupo na K1...

The screw on top to release pressure, so when you follow the manuals advice for removing stuck pellet using cleaning road, "lightly taping pellet back into magazine" it doesn't shoot the rod thru your ceiling the first time, then into your coach the second time and surprise you it still has that much pressure. DE-GAS THE GUN!

No, that is not what I said. It shoots bullets very accurately. You just need to have a slightly higher pressure to achieve high velocity. Actually best accuracy I got was with bullets...
Ok great... I remember in one of your vids you made your own bullets mentioned which bullet size worked best in the huben... are these the ones that were the most accurate ?
I have made slight changes on those bullets that now enable them to fit also in v2. Test and videos are coming up, but yes, they are one of the most accurate and also long range capable...

Hello Gregor, I recently purchased a Huben K1, (used) how do I know if my Huben already has the Lothar Walther Barrel? Is there anything on the barrel that would have Lothar name on it? Or would the VIN number on the riffel indicate the riffel has this barrel? Thank you for your time, keep up the good work with your videos.
All Hubens have LW barrel. Version 1 had some issues with the forcing cone (the transition from the magazine to the barrel), that is why I used a custom barrel that was also optimized for slugs (without choke). You can tell if you have version 1 by the logo; if the logo is on the top, then it is 1st version, if it is on the side, it is 2nd of newer... All guns from the 2nd version on have this issue fixed and you do not need to replace the barrel.

@@danielrivera6755 Thanks, for best performance, you will definitely want to use slugs (either form Huben or my 2nd version mold). JSB Monster Redesign also work quite well but you will get a flyer for time to time.

Not sure where you are form but you can get Huben slugs at Airgun Heaven... Both sell intentional, but it might want to order slugs from another continent...

I read in a forum that in version 2 of the huben can not disarm the main box where the firing valve operates as yes is possible in version 1, and that if an oring is broken inside the box you have to change it directly and Can not be repaired, is this true? Are there parts that can not be disassembled?

Not sure exactly what you mean by disarmed. Unlike other OPC, the only way to disarm this gun is by having an empty magazine or putting it to "safe". You cannot de-cock either of them (version 1 or 2). There will be more details in part 3....
No, I mean to disarm it completely like the 1 version to access the valves springs and others, inside the firing box. From what I was told in version 2 you can not access the interior and if something fails you have to replace the box directly. Is this so? Sorry for my English. Best regards
The only thing that is harder to reach is the trigger mechanism, everything else can be disassembles prety much the same way as in version 1.
Dear Gregor. I am shoting with JSB Exact Jumbo Monster pellets of 25,39 gr At what distance it advises to establish the zero for the Huben K1 set to 180 Bars.? Thank You
It is up to your personal preference. If you are used to have the zero at the peak of ballistic curve, that will be around 30 meters (depending on pellet velocity). You will then have to hold over for all ranges closer and further away. If you are mostly shooting and a certain range, then just zero it on that range...

Hi. This is very hare for me to answer. I love both Huben and Kalibrgun. If you have an option, keep Kalibrgun and buy K1 :) I had a lot of similar question. Take a look a those comments too before you decide...

Huben is very accurate at high power, but as lower powers, cricket will be more accurate. They are both quite quiet at the same power, Hube will get louder if you increase the power... Hope it helps.

huben are great powerful AG's but the real issue is the Magazine.
1st the turtle speed way loading a semi Auto fast shooting gun very basic and limited design.
2nd loading the pellets in, is damaging the pellets all the way, when pulling them inside the holes and pushing them to hold their places, both ways in the previous and the coming version is the issue will remain the same, it will remain on damaging the pellet's head that will surely lead to sprial pellet travel and of course bad accuracy along with with the speed consistency.
in My Opinion the improved mag system as mentioned will damage more the pellet's head, while squeezing it forward to ensure that the pellet head will be facing directly the barrel ( issue is solved ive some work with the mag) and now i can say it likley 80% much better in term of having less accuracy issues.
decent pellets are so accurate but yet very sensitive.
You are right about the magazine. That is definitely a weak point of the design. But there are accurate airguns out there that use this mechanism like Stayer Hunting 5... the only difference is that in Huben you can also put slugs and the hole must me designed differently. The grooves in the magazine help but there is still a flyer for time to time... I did not understand the last comment though, you claim that you improved the magazine ? How did you do that?

actually i made 3 things and the 4th to be implemented as soon i finish woth the 3rd.
1st: ive smoothed the grooves inside the mags holes and made them more inclined forward. ( on 4 holes )
2nd: removed half of the grooves inside the holes and applyed the the 1st method on the remaining ones ( another 4 holes)
3rd: ive made a hard industrial rubber magazine its center from T6 aluminium ( still under testing ) and it functioning well so far...
4th: will tell u about it once i finish testing my 3rd part to start with it.
Gregor Kamenšek another issues if this doesn't have a an actual pressure gauge indicate the level of air inside the cylinder.... cleaning the barrel is an issue itself as many user will find it very hard to perform it, if the gun should be sold on a higher scale it should be more user friendly.
the user guide is not made for anyone to understand easliy especially the part related ro the reg adjustment, as it show only the way to higher or lower it and its was written the opposite way if u noticed when saying turn clockwise to higher the reg pressure... and CCW to lower which not true...
its a fail itself when selling a complicated yet new type of gun to users that barely understand the AG mechanics... its seductive but trust me people will not have the courage to buy it.
Interesting. I have a test prepared my self to see how much is the accuracy affected by shooting out of the magazine. Huben sent me a spare old magazine. I will cut it in half. I will then be able to manually insert the pellets directly in the barrel and before shooting place the half of the magazine behind it just to make the pressure seal... I will basically be a single loader...

Hi. I realize that you are all getting impatient and I understand why. What you need to understand that I am not making a living from this, I have a day job that often requires form me to travel for longer periods of time. I love doing the videos but I do have to prioritize... This also mean that I am always giving you an honest opinion. The part 2 with Leshiy will probably be first as I have everything recorder and just need the final touch on the editing. Here is some spoiler regarding K1 v2 part2: It is extremely accurate with Huben pellets! This weekend was extremely windy so I could not record the full part 2 but I did manage to get some very interested comparison between Huben bullets that have a very high BC and JSB King Heavy pellets form my Cricket. In heavy wind, Huben bullets need minimum windage correction in comparison to Kings...

It would have to be sub 12 ft-lbs. They do not make them sub 12 ft-lbs... You can ask dealers if they can tune it down form you.

@@gregorkamensek3923 my name is John and I have a new husband k1 version 2 . I have shot 100 rounds through the gun. I have a chronograph and with the regulator set at 185 and the power wheel all the way open my chronograph shows a speed of 917 fps. With a 22 grain pellet. Shouldn't the fps be higher like over 1000fps. I'm going to be shooting 35 grain huben slugs thrue it once its broke in. Basically I want the most power I can get out of the gun and the best accuracy and shot count .my question is there something wrong with the gun only shooting at 9oo fps. You are the only person I have seen that knows anything about the huben. Thanks your friend John. And I look forward to your next video on UA-cam.
@@_jwhite426_7 Hi. That definitely seems much too low. With 22 grain pellets, you should get over 1100 fps, probably closer to 1200 fps. There are only 3 possibilities here: 1. the gun is not working properly, 2. The pressure gauge on the gun is way off and you actually set the pressure to really low pressure (closer to 100 bars), 3. your chrony is showing you wrong data - unlikely, you would hear the supersonic boom...

sorry im so angry with my Huben .....my airforce in 11 years only one orrins failure this Huben is not a fiable rifle its leaks air so ofen....i have 2 frinds with the same problem....salute
I understand you completely, when my Wolverine leaked (it was new) I was also angry, but these thing can be fixed and now it is one of the most accurate airguns I have (with the mods I made)
Gregor Kamenšek People are extremely worried about these Huben leaks. I feel Huben should do more to support people by supplying parts schematics, extra parts and O-rings replacement kits to gain more consumer confidence. I feel people would appreciate it greatly if Huben hired you to do tutorials on how to fix and maintain their Hubens, since your The Huben God and all.
I just got some information from Huben where leaks can happen and how to solve them. I will probably do a video on that as well... It was hard form me to give advice about leaks so far as I never had problem with leaks..
the leaking is coming from the cylinder assembly to reg tube cylindric part.
this issue occurs when on different pressures.
nothing related directly to Orings but to bad design and manufacturing the links between parts ( threaded parts of the cylinder full aseembly )
it's fixable....
