Hi Scheib. Great video. I’m catching up on some videos now. That splitter is an animal. I’ve never dealt with locust before. But I’ve split poplar for in bundles. I think I dries faster than maple. You’re going to be able to mix it in your bags & stand this fall.
Great video Don! Been gone a little while from you tube with everything going on. Poplar great for Camp firewood. I use Locust for firplace or OWB because it is a dense wood and leaves a hot bed of coals. Inwould not put that intonyour camp firewood. Like seeing the pizza wedge in action.
Hey Scheib, not sure what kind of Hickory that is, but I do know it will make awesome firewood. You could do custom, species specific bundles for the smokers.
Mostly all hickory species are very stringy. I am dealing with smooth bark hickory in the woodyard now and I’m using a single wedge in my Huskee. Very time consuming, but the smoking guys love it! What are your intentions for the hickory splits? Are they 16” for bundles or 18” for your home heat?
That splitter is mesmerizing. I love that box wedge.
Locust is phenomenal stove wood. It leaves a great coal bed and has higher btu's than oak. You should really keep that for yourself.

Looks like you like the pizza wedge better than the 7way. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
I like the pizza wedge for the roadside stand and bags/bundles
You won't have any trouble with the locust. Here in the midwest id put it up against about anything . I refer to it as " The king"
smooth bark, pig nut, bitternut hickory - heard it called a lot of names
Nice splitting session, the pizza box wedge makes perfect size pieces!
Yes it does!
Pretty neat watchin those machines work, then the music came in, good stuff!
Hi Scheib. That box wedge does a great job. I love poplar for bundles. I mix it with ash, maple, and a little oak. Dries quickly, burns great.
Sounds great! Thanks Dick
Don't waste that locust on bundle wood. Save it for your all night stove wood.
I agree, it's good stuff. 👍 I like red elm also and white and red oak
hi there good splitting , john
curious to see how the honey locust works for you. Looks like you have everything dialed right in now. Appreciate the support Scheib.
I am also curious never really dealt with it so we shall see how it goes.
Make sure you hydrate schibe 💪🏽🇺🇸🍻
When you do beech or hard maple with the pizza wedge is the 12 22
Honey locust is the most dense wood I have ever dealt with! Splits good👍🤘👍

Take care and stay safe bud! Looks like you’re getting some wood split for sure! God bless!✝️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks, you too!
Honey locust is great firewood!
Poplar is good campfire wood. It drys fast. Pig nut hickory has a bark similar to ash. It is very stringy and very very heavy. ' hard tHard to

It may be stringy but that Easton made don't dred it. You don't have to fight with it like you did with the other splitter

Another excellent video Don 🪵🪵🪵🪵🪵🪵👍have you decided on what kind of tractor 🚜 you’re going to be getting or is that on the back burner for now ❤😊😮
definitely looking into the Bad Boy 4025
Don't use that honey locust for camp firewood or bundlewood. It's as good if not better than your oak. Similar to Hickory for Btu value.
When are you ever going to get your rugged made splitter out?
its still in use just at sushi Sam's wood yard
Sell poplar keep locust and hickory
Hello my friend. How is Sam hand?
Good until the next time lol
Очень много щепы
I think I would stick to the red oak you get off the road side...good video of shitty wood!
