    He is the brightest, kindest and coolest boy I know..not to mention his sense of humour and laughter fill a room! I am so truly blessed by God for making me his mommy...

    I am just loving these 'snippets of wisdom' that you are sharing! As a special needs teacher of children with behavior and learning challenges your words are golden! This is the philosophy that we live by. I love the Dr. Phil quote... "When you choose the behavior, you choose the consequence." It is empowering for kids to learn that they are in charge of the consequences they receive. I would love to learn more about what you do in your "professional life". Thanks so much for sharing!!!

    I have a nephew with autism. The doctors thought my son had it but was later changes to "severe auditory precessing disorder". Thank you for sharing about your son. I bet he is an amazing person.

    Great video! As parents and educators we are understanding the impact of positive influences and approaches toward discipline and behavior management verses negative or punitive postures. Thanks again for sharing this!

    I am also a mum and an educator. Sometimes the dear little ones can bring us to the edge of our patience ;-) You examples are so logical and practical, they just make sense. What really rang true for me was the part about ''having respect for yourself'', as well as helping your child. Thanks for another great video!

    I know this is lovely logical stuff, but when you're in the thick of it at home with your 2 year old its nice to have a positive reminder, thank you!

    Looking forward to this series in the future as well, with the appropriate discipline one coming up... because discipline is something I never know whether I'm over or under disciplining, lol! Thanks!

    Thank you for these videos!! I'm really enjoying these and look forward to more of them! I've been struggling with discipline when my toddler (almost 3) has a tantrum, which I know is just an overflow of feelings... or if she flat out refuses to do something. Which we've been having happen more often. So far, the taking away of something important (her stuff animals for example) if she doesn't follow instruction, and giving them back when she does follow instruction seems to be working well.

    This is such a good video. I love the way you explain things, whether it is something about an object, an idea, a teaching or a thought. I have forwarded this to my daughter because I know she will take it to heart. She is a great mom, but she does have challenges that can sometimes get the best of her. Thank you. :)

    That's a great question. This practice is appropriate at the age the child understands language, around 2. I hope that helps.

  • @captmara
    @captmara  11 років тому

    Thank you for the suggestion. I'll keep that in mind. I know next week, I am required to make three or my work on discipline. I'll work to bring in teens then. Hope your day is going well.
