It’s definitely possible that his character could’ve changed through the times. I don’t necessarily think the Crow gimmick “saved” Sting’s career because at the end of the day, Steve Borden was a great performer. Undertaker vs Sting should have happened at some point. It doesn't matter who wins if you think about it. I'd book it as a casket match. If sting won he'd basically get WCW over, probably why it never happened. If taker won hed basically be taking out WCWs best, his equivalency. As a fan i honestly wouldn't care who won, they'd both have this match to look back on years later saying we had that match

I think surfer sting cudda been salvaged by using more dark colors mixed with say a stone cold grittier attitude
