This database merging is misleading. This plugin works only on a newly created Stage site and it will be able to merge only recorded changes to it. So if you have an already old Stage site and want to merge it to existing Prod (diverging changes) - it won't help..!
@@stratos-tutorials I use several staging plugin that can push up just the site changes and not effect the data. This plugin seems to be redundant in that respect.

The merging keeps the data that has been changed since you took the staging backup. I explain the difference in the beginning of the video

This is still a beta plugin that will eventually charge money. You can get free staging plugins that are well tested and stable.
This is not a staging plugin. It is a tool to use along with your staging plugin. It does a different job.
