The lost art of teaser/trailer making...
@@itsfishing_ now they drop a teaser saying that there’ll be a trailer soon.
I remember seeing this exact trailer for Spider-Man 2 and the teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when I went to see the Lord of the Rings The Return of the King in theaters. I was one happy 11 year old
I remember the same thing man! I’m 25 now but this was a golden age for film.
Yess. One of my older friends said he saw this teaser at showings for Return of the King
Well, time goes fast. I'm not sure if I'm gonna return to here next year so I'm gonna wish you happy 30th birthday right now :D
I would love to hear the theater audience reaction for this.
MagicGummyFruit
I totally remembered this teaser when I was a freshmen in high school. People were definitely pumped!
Man I remember being in grade school at the theater with my mom and brothers when they showed this trailer for the first time and I nearly crapped myself I was so pumped for this movie.
One of the greatest teasers ever.
The scene they chose to focus on was perfect because as far as we can tell, it takes place right where the first film left off. MJ loves Peter, but he can't be with her. This is right where we left them.
Then BOOM, they shock us with a villain reveal.
Nah. The trailer with Lacrimosa Dominae playing in the background was better
Seeing this movie in the theater was an absolute honor. Kids haven’t seen a true Spider-Man movie like this one and probably never will again.
ShadowKrueger What you said doesn't even make sense... "Kids haven't seen a true Spider-Man movie like this one and probably never will again." You do know this movie is online and ALSO one of the greatest superhero movies? They can talk to people who know/knew about the movie.
I'm talking like at the movie theater, being a 7 year old loving the original 2002 movie seeing the follow up was fucking phenomenal. Tobey was perfect and Rami made an unforgettable trilogy.@@shiroitamagotchi2005
@@ShadowKrueger I know what you mean to say, was bout getting out of first grade when this came out in theaters, begged my mother at my local, unfortunately the time was upon for the reason used to pick up my dad from downtown work, so after that I asked him if "HE" wanted to go see this movie, said absolutely, I will be honest tho, went across in a city of Mexico to see it.
They can watch it on DVD like me
As a kid in 2009/2010 i watched Spiderman 1 and 2 in DVD also i saw The third one in theathers when i was 6
I agree. I saw this movie on opening day 2004 when I was 7 my godmom took me and her daycare kids and my godbrothers/godsister on a trip to see it and it was an unforgettable experience. NOBODY can take that away from me
There's no other Spider-Man film better than the Rami Series.
I do also think spider verse is an animated masterpiece, but I still prefer Spiderman 2 for its poignant writing and story. Just my opinion tho.
Best Spiderman movie so far, near flawless. Molina was superb as Dr. Octopus.
Final swing music will always be iconic
The first minute of this teaser says more about Spider-Man than Spider-Man: Homecoming
Debatable but at least it didn't have Doc Ock throwing a car into the cafe that would have killed the guy he's trying to question lol.
2004 was such an iconic year in film. I mean we had this, Mean Girls, Prisoner of Azkaban, Shrek 2, and The Incredibles
I don’t think Tom Holland could ever top him. Can’t change my mind.
That music at 1:04. Holy crap that’s spine chillingly awsome
I like how it only shows a 2 as the title in the end. It's Spidey, who the fuck doesn't know him?
0:59 I'll never forget seeing that brief snippet of Doc Ock.
After years of seeing him in the cartoon show i would see him live action.
Goosebump inducing
Oh my god I remember this. This trailer was included on the DVD for a different Sony movie. I believe it was some sort of romantic comedy and when my mom found out she told me to come to the living room and watch it. I heard that there was going to be a Spider-man 2 so I'd spent the past few days going though my Spider-man official guide guessing about which villain they'd use (I didn't really use the internet back then so I had no ideas) and when those legs came down I thought at first they were doing Spider Slayers (specifically Mark X) and was a bit confused. "That choice is bit strange." But then when I saw it was Dr. Octopus I was so excited.

?
HappyTown Rayan was it Something's Gotta Give? My mom rented it and told me this was on it. I saw the trailer on Lord of The Rings in December but really wanted to see it again and finally in March or so I saw it on that DVD like a million times.
Same experience. I think for me it was Hitch with Will Smith. I popped in the DVD for my mom and was floored when this came on
I have watched many trailers, but this is one of the best superhero trailers ever!
13 years later, still the best comic book movie ever made
@@SKT1fromTX trust me, when you grow up, you will see how Spider-Man 2 is better than Far From Home. When I was 10, i liked the movie because of its action scenes. But now, as a 17 year old, I love the human scenes behind it. Look at the scene where Peter confesses the truth to Aunt May, or where he talks to uncle ben. Spider-Man 2 puts emotion over comedy, unlike the MCU
@@SKT1fromTX both are good movies. i think Spider-Man 2 is just more human and has better writing. Why don't you like it?
@@SKT1fromTX ohhh okay i misread your comment sorry. i have respect for you, so many kids nowadays hate on those movies cause of how cheesy they are
@@SKT1fromTX respect for u bro. i have some faith in your generation now XD. Spider-Man 2 and Far From Home are both good, but I think as you grow older you will see yourself relating to Spider-Man 2 a lot more. I recommend watching Hi-Top Films video about it and why it is the best superhero movie ever. Endgame is the best experience though
This trailer was soooo much better than the official trailer.
Honestly 1:10 inspires me in some way I can’t explain
The old days 😍😍😍 I wish audience reaction videos would've existed at that time just to astonish people with this trilogy. Truly unique
I love The Dark Knight, but this might be my favorite comic book movie.
Can honestly say TDK and SP2 are perfect. One not better than the other they're masterpieces.
Best Spider-Man movie! This is how a sequel should be done right.
I just hate how long the newer teaser trailers are. Teasers are supposed to “tease” about the movie, not directly telling about what’s gonna happen. This is a perfect example of a teaser trailer.
This Is My Favorite Spider Man Movie
I saw this trailer when I went to go see 50 First Dates, I remember cause all I can think about the whole time watching that film was this trailer. I was freaking out so much.
I love how I get goosebumps from the nostalgia. The opening shot of this trailer and the first note instantly take me way back! I'm pretty sure this was one of the trailers that was shown on the DVD of "Big Fish". It's crazy to think how everything is so digital and how you don't watch/skip through the trailers at the start of the DVD to watch a film. I grew up with Tobey's version of Spider-Man and my nephew is growing up with Tom Holland's, and while I love both, Tobey's version will always be very close to my heart - these films were my childhood!
Same here i too grew up with Tobey's version Spiderman, i miss my childhood when there were no worries and i was carefree
I just nostalgia'd all over my keyboard!
Best Spiderman movie period.
Welcome back Tobey Maguire.❤💙🕷🕸
And now, Octopus is in Spider-Man No Way Home...
I remember the hype when I first saw this as a kid.
My brother and me wore out our internet speed watching this on Apple QuickTime
A Spiderman sequel that surpassed the original
The teaser is alone better than mcu Spider-man series
"hello Peter"
When I was 9 back in 2003, a good friend of my mom’s told me to sit down and told me he had a surprise for me on his TV, and so he told me to close my eyes, and then the moment I saw the scene where Peter was running and he whipped out his spidey suit, I immediately knew that this was the trailer for Spider-Man 2! I got even more hyped knowing that Doc Ock was gunna be the villain considering I loved him in the 90s Spider-Man cartoon! So the fact that nine-year-old me witnessed this amazing trailer! It just hyped my love for Spider-Man and Marvel itself even more! Still get chills when I see this trailer!
Thank you for posting this in HD. When this trailer originally dropped I watched it everyday for weeks, maybe months, just waiting for the movie to come out. One of the first 'great trailers,' and, for me, first times when the movie truly lived up to it's trailer. Now we live in this age where every movie trailer is a work of art on it's own. Love this movie, definitely Top 5 Best CBMs.
best superhero movie ever made
Happy 19th Anniversary to this movie
One of the best, most iconic, teaser trailers of all time. Seeing this preview in theaters blew my 6-year-old mind like nothing else.
I remember as a little kid I was so pumped to see this in theaters because back then Spider-Man was very important to me. I saw this when I was 6 and I still think it holds up all these years later
That's awesome. For me, I'm more of a batman fan since he's my favorite supehero of all time.
Hopefully we will see Maguire reprise his role again very soon
0:53 they don't make teasers like this anymore. A brilliant mix of horror & suspense by Rami. I'm glad he'll be directing Dr Strange 2 :)
I Still remember as a kid i remember seeing this trailer on a VHS tape from a hollywood video store i forgot what movie had this trailer and i remember ignoring the music and Kirsten dunst and screaming at my mother "look, mom it`s Spider-Man look Spider-Man`s in this movie and when i heard the Spider-Sense I HAD to wake my brother up and after we saw this trailer my mother looked at us and that`s when the hype for Spider-Man movies started to happen my whole life
still gives me goosebumps today, the prime definition of a perfect comic-book movie down to the amazing score
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am speechless.
This trailer is fucking awesome for a movie i have already seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello peter
best teaser trailer ever fuckin made
This is still one of the greatest teasers of all time.
Sixteen years later, and this movie is still better than any other Spider-Man film that's ever been made.
back when teasers didn't need to reveal much yet make people have chills
This movie was an Oscar for best visual effects and it's 2020 and the effects still look amazing.
BEST. TEASER. EVER!!!!!!!
still gives me goosebumps lol wrd
19 YEARS LATER! *"IT'S STILL ONE OF THE BEST SUPERHERO FILMS OF ALL TIME!"*
Trailer wouldn't be the same without Elfman's beautiful music, I get chills when Pete sees mj and jameson descending the stairs to that operatic music.
Wow, I remember watching the teaser trailer right before The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
at the theater.
After the trailer, I was so focused on that trailer, and I didn't even care about the Return of the King film. LOL
best spiderman trailer ever, holland will never reach the sensation this trailer make you feel like.
This trailer was first shown in theaters with Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King!
Probably the best superhero film of all, still in 2023.. A masterpiece👌
A perfect teaser trailer for a perfect movie. I will never forget the surprise and excitement I had as a kid watching this in the theater.
hello peter
i remember trying to watch this trailer on my dial up internet on the quicktime trailers for itunes, it took me a whole day to load the trailer lol
The Jurassic park of spiderman movies
I remember finding this by accident when I was around 8. I was so hyped up to know there was gonna be a Spider-Man 2 before all my friends 😂
1:41 they changed the soles from Black to Red
I remember I was 9 years old, and I was getting out of church and my elementary pastor knew how much I loved Spider-Man and he showed me a link on UA-cam and he wanted to surprise me and so he showed me this teaser trailer for Spiderman 2 and I was starstruck! 😍😍 hearing that iconic music when Spider-Man was swinging and seeing bits of Doc Ock, I was immediately PUMPED after seeing that trailer!
Also keep in mind, when I saw this trailer back then, I was still on the hype train from Spiderman 2002 considering this trailer premiered a year after the movie released!
And to this day, it’s still the best teaser from the trilogy!! 😍😍
First time seeing this teaser of my favourite film ever. I'll bet when this trailer was shown in theatres people erupted with cheers!
Best Spider-Man film ever
Still the greatest Spider-Man movie of all time.
Nunca está película podrá ser superada. Incluso el teaser es perfecto y épico.
This was on a DVD of 50 First Dates and I swear I watched this trailer more than the actual movie it was on lmao
I love this 2000´s vibes
1:23 this clip kinda got the same energy as the wedding clip on Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness
To this date this was the only movie teaser that only show a number 2 instead of the movie's title.
Sam Raimi really likes to zoom in and out of eyes. Between this and Dark Man
I saw this trailer when I was 13 and I was like “Holy shit they’re making another one!”
Little did I know that this movie would be the best superhero movie I would probably see in my life
Seriously this is one of the best teaser trailers ever done... And still my favorite Spiderman movie
I remember seeing this trailer on the internet on Yahoo before we had UA-cam, the quality was not great but I was still pumped!
I just had the sudden desire to seek this trailer. Man I loved it.
I remember seeing this trailer in theaters. It was so epic, along with the audience's reaction.
One of the best trailers ever made
That was a good time at the movies man!! 😁😁😁
best spiderman movie to date
Fascinating seeing an older/alternate version of the epic shot where spiderman is swinging and it zooms out of the reflection in doc ocks glasses
The way he swings is the best
youtube wasnt even out in 03 wen this trailer came out, i dont even remember how i watched this trailer 100 times b4 the movie came out
Who else came here after seeing Alfred Molina’s doctor octopus appeared in the mcu of Spider-Man no way home
I hope whoever came up with the idea of Spidey swinging being the reflection in Doc Ock’s glasses got a nice bonus. Goosebumps 20 years later! ❤❤❤
I remember being so hyped for this after seeing the trailer
2004: “Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts.”
2021: “Hello Peter.”
yes, Dock Ock has returned
:' )
What the
