Looks awesome. Can't wait to see more videos of this bike from you. There isn't much out there on youtube. Thank you for throwing some quality content up. I might have to buy a Brute. I will use your affiliate link if I end up doing so.
Thank you so much for watching! I wish I could make more right now. Waiting for the weather to get better so I can get back out there. Thanks I would really appreciate you using my link 🙏
Great video, It's mileage did reasonably well I'd say, especially with how cold it must be over there in Wyoming ❄️ It's crazy how much low temperaturea can effect an E-bike battery, but it is what it is, and overall what an amazing bike this is, I love it & wish I had one! As for new battery technology, hmm...Well I think we'll be waiting quite a while before anything new and amazing comes on the market (that's affordable) for us everyday e-bikers! If you think about it, well...E-Bikes are leaps and bounds ahead of what they were just a few years back, and the only thing holding us back slightly is the battery technology seems to be lagging behind a bit, and high-power cells are very costly too😢. ...But who knows what's to come as far as battery tech goes, I guess we'll have to just wait and see. Cheers, and festive greetings to yourself, and anybody else reading this. 🚲⚡👍
Thanks Micky! Ya it's cold and hilly here so it really does reduce range a lot. These action cameras don't really show the hills. It's got plenty of range for my needs. For me here my main concern is torque for climbing these steep hills. It has plenty of that.
@WyomingRider Yeah, I've noticed with Bruce's (IMBruceECLECTIC - UA-cam) channel (and others) that he's said the camera just doesn't show the hills for how steep they really are. I purposefully made my ebike more powerful, as where I am in the UK it's nothing but hilly everywhere you go.... And, low powered e-bikes soon get boring 😅 👍🚲⚡
@@MickyBee73 Indeed those slow bikes do get boring. I'm glad we have more freedom with that here at least for now. That's another thing I love about this bike if they really start cracking down on them here I can register it as a moped.
I encourage you to find the exact model of your motor and go to the website for that motor. What burns out the motor is heat as it degrades the magnets. Then extreme heat will melt the wires as i understand it. I looked looked up the one i had, same brand, and it can get really hot the max allowable temp will surprise you. The 72v is not what i would call more efficient it just requires lower awg wire and traces on the board. In the EUC community we have proven this to be true most of the efficiency is in the controller so look into that. I am curious this is my question why the brute over the other offering that they make in house top to bottom?
I agree I think it can handle a lot. The motor wires are pretty massive. I really like both bikes. I just think the Brute looks more like a regular e-bike than the Javelin and has working pedals. I do wish the Brute had the color options the Javelin does and the 40AH battery.
Brute frame is more functional and designed for cargo. It's why I went with it over the Javelin, but honestly the Javelin is a much nicer looking bike. I saw someone riding a yellow and black Javelin in my city recently and the bike honestly looked gorgeous.
@ I agree! Those Javelins look really nice! I’m happy with my Brute! It’s so strong it accelerates up the steep hills around here. I don’t get to ride it everyday with the cold weather here right now, but Every time I do I get compliments.
Thanks so much for watching! The suspension really good in the front. The rear was a little soft for me at first I weigh like 220lbs. I tightened the rear springs a few rounds at it's really good now! Rides so smooth!
Hello, thanks for the video, very helpful. I'm waiting on my Brute, just sold my Power Goat. How do they compare? Is the ride height on the Brute a bit shorter than the P/G? Thanks, Happy Holidays!
Thanks so much for watching! Happy Holidays to you as well! Congratulations on your Brute! The seat height is a couple inches lower than that of my Power Goat.
Thank you for the range test. Uh that feels dissapointing when the range is seemingly going to come out far less than what you predicted. And the range stated from the company was far more & you halved that on top. Lithium batteries do have a lot to improve if one is going to reasonably rely on it for anything more than a relatively short distance from all that battery weight. If the ebike were a third the price it would be somewhat understandable, but all that money for a super heavy non pedable bike that goes such a short distance is a headscratcher as to why anyone would be interested in shelling out a ton for a miniscule of range and practicality outside from throttle.
Thanks for watching! The problem with listing range with lithium batteries is there's just too many variables. They are making those range predictions with Ideal conditions. I've never reached advertised range with any bike here in Wyoming. I usually realistically reach half with most. Less with some. Where I live it's very hilly, I weigh 220 lbs., It's winter so that also affects the battery performance. It's getting what I expected too in this area. Now if you weigh like 150 and live in a flat area with warm temps you may get a lot closer to the advertised range. I do hope we do get better batteries eventually that aren't affected so much by temperature and have a lot more capacity at lower weight.
@@WyomingRider I've been reading and researching on both the Spark Cycleworks Javelin and Brute. In general, I've heard whatever range manufacturers claim should be taken with a grain of salt and us consumers should ultimately "half" it to be more accurate. I also love the honesty of you bringing up that there are indeed just too many variables to consider. One thing to note; Maximum Charge did an interview with Matt from Spark Cycleworks recently, and both the Javelin and Brute use 18650 cells compared to the current "best" 21700 cells, which are more energy dense, leading to a higher capacity. Matt seems like a genuinely great guy who is honest and proud of what their company has done, but is also straightforward about the limitations of their current setup. The good thing is their models can accommodate custom batteries, which basically future-proofs their bikes. Overall, the Javelin is a strong frontrunner for my pending ebike/emoped purchase, along with the Talaria MX5/XXX, E-Ride Pro SS 3.0, and Land Moto District.

Thank you for putting this together! It looks like a 30-mile commute at reasonable speeds should be doable.
Thanks so much for watching! Absolutely doable!
Love the intro!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Means a lot coming from you!
Bike looking awesome!
Thanks Dave! It really is an awesome bike and built in America!
I live in California, I bet it would go even farther in our warmer weather. Appreciate the video, keep em coming. Love this bike!!🚴♀️😍
Absolutely it would in the warm weather! Thanks for watching! I love this bike!
I like that stylish looking bike.
Thanks! Me too! I really love this bike!
Nice bike and ride🚴♂️ can’t wait for spring to come
Thanks Jerry! I can't wait either! It's going to be a blast!
Beautiful country!
I never get tired of the beautiful views here!
Great job!
Thanks Brother! I love this bike so much!
Of course, it rides smooth the heavy of the bike is the smoother they ride ❤
Ya that is an advantage of a heavier bike. They ride smooth.
Thank you! 👍
You're Welcome! and Thank You!
Good video.
Thanks Brother!
Nice looking handelbars as well
They sit at just the right height for me as well. Very comfortable upright position.

Wheaties...💪😁
lol my Brute ate it's Wheaties
Thanks for sharing your video. Question: Was your bike delivered fully assembled by the Bike Hauler company ?
Thanks so much for watching! Correct it was delivered by Haulbikes fully assembled!
Nice video 👍 how are you liking the suspension on the Brute ?

@@WyomingRider How do the 2 bikes compare? If you could only have one, which would it be? Thanks, man!
I know when you have a bike like that it’s hard to hold back 😂
30 mph is not bad at all
I started at 30mph, It really likes riding at 35mph in mode 1. That's where I spent most of the ride at. I had to cut about an hour out of that video

40% battery left and sent 23 miles *while pedalling* still not too bad. now do a 10 mph max speed range test haha.
Thanks so much for watching! I bet it would get really good range for sure
Looks cold...
ya it's been pretty cold here
Look like speedo is off. Bike display says 40, but your gps show 37mph.
Thanks so much for watching! It was defiantly off. It took a little time, but I got it dialed in now.
@@WyomingRider So is this the production unit? Look like a solid bike, but is it worth the price tag?
If you do decide to change your mirrors and dont want your old ones, I will buy them off you
I got some extenders, but they didn't fit these mirrors so I swapped mirrors with my Power Goat.
