藥師佛心咒
One of the foremost mantra a person should learn in the path of self healing or healing. The first Buddha ever to be consecrated by an individual in the path is DHARMA is Bhaisajyaguru, भैषज्यगुरु - the Buddha of healing and medicine.
I have tried to chant exactly the same way this mantra was transferred to me in the ancient oral tradition by my first Guru.
A Sanskrit manuscript of the Bhaiṣajya-guru-vaiḍūrya-prabhā-rāja Sūtra was among the texts attesting to the popularity of Bhaiṣajyaguru in the ancient northwest Indian kingdom of Gandhāra.[4] The manuscripts in this find are dated before the 7th century, and are written in the upright Gupta script.
The Twelve Vows of the Medicine Buddha upon attaining Enlightenment, according to the Medicine Buddha Sutra[6] are:
The Twelve Vows
1. I vow that my body shall shine as beams of brilliant light on this infinite and boundless world, showering on all beings, getting rid of their ignorance and worries with my teachings. May all beings be like me, with a perfect status and character, upright mind and soul, and finally attaining enlightenment like the Buddha.
2. I vow that my body be like crystal, pure and flawless, radiating rays of splendid light to every corner, brightening up and enlightening all beings with wisdom. With the blessings of compassion, may all beings strengthen their spiritual power and physical energy, so that they could fulfil their dreams on the right track.
3. I vow that I shall grant by means of boundless wisdom, all beings with the inexhaustible things that they require, and relieving them from all pains and guilt resulting from materialistic desires. Although clothing, food, accommodation and transport are essentials, it should be utilised wisely as well. Besides self-consumption, the remaining should be generously shared with the community so that all could live harmoniously together.
4. I vow to lead those who have gone astray back to the path of righteousness. Let them be corrected and returned to the Buddha way for enlightenment.
5. I vow that I shall enable all sentient beings to observe precepts for spiritual purity and moral conduct. Should there be any relapse or violation, they shall be guided by repentance. Provided they sincerely regret their wrong-doings, and vow for a change with constant prayers and strong faith in the Buddha, they could receive the rays of forgiveness, recover their lost moral and purity.
6. I vow that all beings who are physically disabled or sick in all aspects be blessed with good health, both physically and mentally. All who pays homage to Buddha faithfully will be blessed.
7. I vow to relieve all pain and poverty of the very sick and poor. The sick be cured, the helpless be helped, the poor be assisted.
8. I vow to help women who are undergoing sufferings and tortures and seeking for transformation into men. By hearing my name, paying homage and praying, their wishes would be granted and ultimately attain Buddhahood.
9. I vow to free all beings from evil thoughts and its control. I shall lead them onto the path of light through inculcating them with righteousness and honour so that they will walk the Buddha way.
10. I vow to save prisoners who have genuinely repented and victims of natural disasters. My supreme powers will bless those who are sincere and be freed from sufferings.
11. I vow to save those who suffer from starvation and those who committed a crime to obtain food. If they hear my name and faithfully cherish it, I shall lead them to the advantages of Dharma and favour them with the best food and eventually lead a tranquil and happy life.
12. I vow to save those who suffer from poverty, tormented by mosquitoes and wasps day and night. If they come across my name, cherish it with sincerity and practise dharma to strengthen their merits, they will be able to achieve their wishes.

Thank you so much, Anupji. I am using this mantra and have received Medicine Buddha empowerment from a Tibetan lama and sometimes I like to hear this mantra in background but usually it is the short version and in song style. I have waited so long for someone to do long version of this Bhaisajyaguru Mantra without music and not in song. This is so great, well done! The background nature sounds are GREAT and the pronunciation is perfect! Bahut dhanyawad, bhai. Pranam! 📿🙏🕉🙏📿
is that possible to get benefits without lamas empowerment??
The short version: Om Bekandze Bekandze Maha Bekandze Radza Samudgate soha
@@mevithabiku9203 Dost, sorry only I'm seeing this now. No need for deeksha. You can recite Guru Medicine Buddha mantra and benifit, yes! Chanting this and even complete Guru Medicine Buddha sadhana and you will richly benifit. Pranams. 🙌🙏🙌

Wow...beautiful
May all suffering sentient beings be healed and liberated.
I cannot help but to return to this page, to this video, to this mantra and return to your recitations. Medicine Buddha mantras, alongside Vajrasattva and Avalokitesvara are my main practices, and my recitations is gradually, from 2 years ago, is getting more frequently chanted in Sanskrit, and of a slower pace, like yours essentially, but I am sure I messed the pronunciations so much tho. Thank You, so so much, Sir, may your Wisdom and Compassion shines throughout the triple thousand worlds, may all sentient beings in them benefit from all your meritorious deeds, and may they plant the cause, condition, and circumstances for all wars, sicknesses, and suffering on this planet to be pacified. OM. AH. HUM.
I have nothing but deep respect and Love for you, world is so amazing because people like you live here ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for this Sanskrit mantra. Often it is the Tibetan version, which is wonderful. However, the Sanskrit as you chant it without music feels empowering. Thank you, again.
Praying for the swift recovery of Lama Rabsang, Palpung Wales 📿🕊🙏
🙏🙏🙏♥️👍👌 Om Gate Gate Parasangate Buddham Soha. Lasso thujise Rinpoche lha Tashi Delek.
You truly made me appreciate the Sanskrit version of this mantra. Personally for me its very difficult to chant, which is why I use the Tibetan version, as it was transmitted to me, but hearing it so properly and perfectly chanted in Sanskrit is nothing short of Divine. Thank You. May the merits of your deeds benefit all sentient beings directly and indirectly, spontaneously in this very instant.
Deepest gratitude 🙏🏽

Amazing yet again. Namaste 🙏 ❤️🇨🇦
I wanted to send you a message but I thought I would share it here for all to see. I have been practicing this chant as part of my Sadhana. To summarize I spent 25 years in the military as a paratrooper and have had trouble healing the demons of the war. This past Saturday while doing Sadhana I had a fantastic release of grief, guilt and sadness while chanting this healing mantra. I just wanted to let you know that you are helping people around the world with what you are doing. Thank you Anna ❤️🙏🇨🇦 your Gurus grace has truly blessed many through his sacred teachings. From the centre of my heart, where the celestial lotus bathes vairaga on all, I am truly grateful for your light ❤️ many blessings to you sir Namaste 🙏
So beautiful. This really spoke to me at a time when I am working through some suffering. Thank you and bless you. Om Mani Padme Hum.

Thank you for this. It's hard to find versions of Medicine Buddha in Sanskrit. Do you happen to have a version without the bell (which is quite loud compared to the vocals)? Thank you!

नमस्ते Anup
I धन्यवादाः from the essence of my being for this gift.
I am a beginner and just received a message from my online teacher, to pray focusing on the sound and pronunciation of the prayer done by someone whos prayer moves your heart. I'm grateful to find your mantra reading. I'm not able to find a group or a guru within the area I live so the internet is my only option at the time.
I understand that mala can be used to keep track of chanting but how do you to keep a,b-a,b-b,b pattern of this prayer and what is the significance of reading it this way?
Also when you refer to 12 vows after numbering them, could you please write them, as a beginner I am a bit lost putting it all together on my own.
Thank you again,
Wishing you happiness,
शुभास्ते पंथानः संतु
Namastey and Greetings,
I am grateful that it is working for you as we say healing will not be achieved unless it touches one's Soul.
If you remember the mantra you can go ahead with a,b, a,b pattern adding bb helps in affirmation, there is where you focus your intention and awareness, if you want to go ahead with a,b a,b, b in using japa mala then ab, ab, b is two counts..
I am bit conused about your question on 12 vows.. please check the details of the mantra I have mentioned the original 12 vows..

Sir Panthi, i' m a beginner on the Gayatri Mantra and I know there' s 32 differents mudras in association.
My question is : if it' s possible, what kind of mudra can I use ( maybe dyan mudra ) until I fully complete my learning ?
This mantra is truly calling me !! 🙂
Absolutely, Dhyan mudra is acceptable as kinf of all hastha (Hand) mudras especially when dealt with meditation. Best wishes for your prayers 🙏🏽

Namaste Anup, could you translate each word in this mantra, please. I have a hard time finding meaning for all the words. Thank you
Namastey Soul, I will try to write down the meaning when I get back to Nepal, but just remmebr that this mantra is not powerful for its meaning but its essence, its basically invocation towards your inner self for the awakening of the Bhaisajyaguru, the healer Buddha, which means you..
Meaning-
Bhaisajye - one who heals/cure
Bhashajya raj - king of healing
Mahabhaishajya gurudev is the one who heals not only all diseases but all suffering from human life
His name is enough to ward off any disease
I see a difference between "Om bhaisajye bhaisajye mahabhaisajye bhaisajyarajasamudgate svaha" and "Om bhaisajye bhaisajye bhaisajya-samudgate svaha". Is both correct?
Namastey, any sutra is correct if you are initiated but I feel first one is more valid than second, bhaisajyaraaja.. Is addressing medicine king.. If you are are planning to chant this mantra on your own I recommend you go for this version..
@@AnupPanthi Thank you for your answer
Please Mr Anup Panthi, which mudra I should use during meditating on this Buddha Chant ? Light and Love !!
You can use Dhyana or Abhaya mudra 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@AnupPanthi Thank You !! I' ve got an another question, if I only use the a, b pattern should I recite it 108 times ?
Idea is to meditate with a glass of clean drinking water in front of you, if the glass if made of copper better but glass is also good.. If possible do the entire mantra 108 times, if not 54 times if not 27 times.. You can also do A pattern 1 time and B which is ending gate gate part 108 times.. after the process drink the water with utmost compassion and self healing awareness 🙏🏽🙏🏽
