One thing I keep noticing about this era of Bruins hockey telecasts is how Dave Shea and Fred Cusick swapped roles in the second period frequently. I wonder if NESN/WSBK producers were anticipating Cusick's retirement and trying to get him to pass the torch. Cusick favored the Bruins (nearly all teams have homer announcers) but he often gets a bad rap which seems a bit unfair. I think it mainly has to do with Derek Sanderson who was known to bleed black and gold.
Definitely not '87. Lafleur was in his first retirement that year. Most of this looks like late 70's (no helmets), then some action early in the Chelios years.
His adage was to let them play until blood was drawn, and then it will settle itself... And that everything was just fine as long as his hair looked smooth for the cameras...

Everyone was wearing helmets in this game who previously didn’t. Gainey, Robinson, Middleton, Milbury, etc.
