U know what's bad? We don't actually get to know the plot. We don't know why the mothers died. We don't know what a sacrificial bride actually is. We don't know why yui is actually there aside from they want her blood. They don't explain why the church offered her and the connection of the church. That's why if you're gonna watch this show just watch it because you will feel like your high.
The games explain most of it. Also a sacrificial bride is kinda exactly what it sounds like. The church offers up sacrificial brides presumably all of Kanato’s wax brides were given up from the church. They’re just sacrifices to keep peace I’m guessing. I didn’t play the games so don’t take my word on most of this. Also I’m not really defending this series bc ur right it really is really bad :/ but you’re right if someone’s gonna watch it just watch it ig

While yes, Cordelia is the first wife, she wasn’t really interested in wanting kids and just wanted Karl. Because of that, Karl neglected her for awhile and went on to marry Beatrix who soon after gave birth to the two eldest brothers Shuu and Reiji. It wasn’t until after they were born and Beatrix was getting attention from Karl that Cordelia then decided she wanted kids which is why the triplets aren’t the oldest. Also, biologically, Ayato is the youngest and Laito is the oldest but, because they were born at a time in Japan where the youngest was considered the oldest, they switched places.

Yeah, that moment was brilliant! He remembered that Yui couldn’t swim, realized that Cordelia didn’t know that, and used that knowledge against her by pushing her into the lake knowing full well that she wouldn’t be able to swim in Yui’s body. Ayato may be a mess (like the rest of the brothers), but he has his moments.
Unfortunately, he did end up having to go save her upon realizing that this would also kill Yui, which he and his brothers don’t want because they actually do care about Yui (no matter how much they might deny it).

They probably would’ve treated her a lot better if they were raised better. It’s not uncommon for children who were raised in abusive environments to repeat the abuse later in life as it’s all they’ve ever known. It’s a vicious cycle of abuse that’s difficult to overcome without the proper support. It’s hard to show love and kindness to someone when nobody’s ever shown it to you.
Killing Cordelia was pretty much the only justified thing the vampires did.

Your muscles need to be strong enough for you to keep yourself above water and you can tell just by looking at Yui that she’s not a very strong girl. She's built like a twig and has so little muscle definition, she needs a muscle dictionary.
Also, Yui’s been losing large quantities of blood on a near-constant basis so she’s likely weakened from anemia, which would make it even harder to swim. With the amount of blood she loses every day, Yui’s lucky she’s still conscious and able to walk.
