    This is so cool, if you improved this a bit, closed up some of the water spillage over the sides and then hooked it up to a battery, you'd be generating roughly 1kWh of electricity a day. The even cooler part is the river keeps going so could could set up a few of these down the river and you could easily generate enough electricity to power your house

    Hi there, honestly lovely work! Was hoping to ask if you could lead me into the right direction when it comes to choosing the design parameters of the turbine, like revs, blade twist angle and so on. Best regards

    Bravo, complimenti dall'Italia!
    Complimenti ancora!👍

    Great! And hilariously retro. It alone could save at least 1/2 the Whurld! Cuz only 1/2 of it is in the Water. Harhar

    I wonder how a undershot waterwheel would perform in this stream. Would probably work better and easier to design and make than the archimedes screw. I do admire your craftmanship.

      My I add something, wat about mounting the water wheel horizontal In The water flow , would that eliminate the under/over shot need. Also make it out of c/fibre , put a large drive wheel on the drive shaft , connect to a significantly smaller drive wheel connected to vertically mounted generator

    • @karaabdelkader1273
      @karaabdelkader1273 Рік тому

      @@davewarrender2056 you mean like using gears to increase the motor input shaft speed? Will it produces more power?

    • @davewarrender2056
      @davewarrender2056 Рік тому +1

      @karaabdelkader1273 horizontal or vertical doesn't matter. If you place a small gear on the output shaft and transfer the that power via belt/chain to a larger gear , you will get slower revs , but more torque. Which for things like driving water pumps , flour Mills is best. But for electrical generation you need I believe large gear on output , small gear on drive shaft. I think it's large gear to small, high revs , low torque. Small gear yo big gear , low revs high torque

    My guess would be that it will work better in a full pipe instead of the half pipe, so pressure could buildup. Also being vertical should help.

    • @mr.construction9846
      @mr.construction9846  Рік тому +1

      probably so

    • @krslavin
      @krslavin 6 місяців тому +1

      The advantage of the half-pipe is that it self-clears debris much more than a full pipe which would need an (admittedly coarse) mesh filter, which tends to clog up.

    use the alternator from a car and run everything on 12 volts, lights, Radios, fridges TVs all run on 12 volts now, it is the standard voltage for outdoor equipment and all caravans and boats run 12-volt systems, It is also easy to store the power you are producing as all leisure batteries are 12 volts,

    Great Job 👏 ✅ But I wonder why you don’t use a bigger gear on the main shaft in order to multiply revolutions even more !

    • @mr.construction9846

      I've also had some videos with a system with a higher gear ratio, but it probably won't work if it's too big

      Gearing something for high revolutions reduces your torque. Easily shown in the video where connecting a fan nearly completely stalls the turbine.
