My personal belief is that in marriage, you can have either a frugal person and a spender, or two frugal people together without having huge financial problems. When two spenders get together, it's a mess. I think that's the situation with Kody and Robyn. There's no longer anyone around to insist they live within their means.
Yes, as Dave Ramsey says, children do whatever they want. Kody and Robyn are stunted and childlike in their financial decisions.

I'm a teacher and several years ago I got a cute wooden Pinapple welcome sign for my classroom. We had open house and a mother I had never met kept talking about my sign and saying "oh you like pineapples thats so interesting" and weird stuff like that. About a month later a friend at work said you know what a pineapple means right? I about died and immediately flashed back to that parent. the signed was removed and replaced immediately 😂
it’s not just a pineapple that signifies that it’s an upside down pineapple.

You guys are so darn cute. I"m sorry NIkki anyone was mean to you or tried to fight with you. Ignore them you are better than them. Stay strong and happy. Considering how popular SisterWives is and was at the time, the fact that they couldn't make a profit is sad.

I think the dog that died and they took back to Utah to burry is the yellow dog the same one Robyn kicked, I didn't like her from the start and even more so after that. The Sister Wives Closet should have sold clothes, they could have started that business with a little money, been a front for a warehouse that merch was shipped from, Tee Shirts, casual wear, candles, bath products and some decent jewelry that wouldn't break the bank, idk why Kody & Robyn were so uppity when they both have lived in singlewide trailers, don't forget your roots.

I know lots of people are down on Mykelti, but she reminds me soooo much of my oldest daughter. As an introvert with social anxiety, I love "extra" personalities. Mykelti and my daughter are both from BIG families (we have 10 kids) and a lot of the dramatics etc are due to self esteem issues and a need to be noticed.
Yeah, Mykelti didn't have it any worse than any of the other kids, at least from what they show. She absolutely likes to be the black sheep because it gets her attention.
I don’t think she’s truly the black sheep of the family. I think she has placed herself as the black sheep of the family because she’s truly a drama queen and loves the attention.

I watch lots of news and documentaries, and always use closed captioning. Long ago, while watching Arrested Development. I realized that there were SO MANY jokes that were inaudible to the viewer, that were absolute gems. SO WORTH IT!
Oftentimes I watch videos on double speed with captions. Speed reading!
Kody gave favor to Meri IMO, because she was the legal wife. Anything Meri got was 50% Kodys!! So her big house with the wet bar and 5 bedrooms…half his! Once they were divorced, they sell all the houses and move to Prescott. All the wives put their profits into Robyn’s Mansion, now 50% Kodys!! And the property, all property has his name on it!

@@IndigoBellyDance no Christine used the sale of her house in Vegas to put a down payment on her house in Arizona. Meri and Janelle use the money from the sale of their houses to put money down on Robyn’s house. then they spent more of the money from the family fund on coyote pass

Kody's certainly not financially smart at all. He oversaw three bankruptcies: Janelle in 1997, Meri in 2005, and Ch in 2010.
The only reasons he has these assets is because Christine got them a show on TLC, which provided a gravy train of funds. @@Spread_hummus_not_hate

Same. She'd shudder to hear mine and many others'. I also think this Meri being abusive in the past is a bunch of bull that Goblyn fed her as the impressionable target Mykelti was in which she immediately put her net on and caught - with past idiot Christine being none the wiser.. past Christine really annoys me lol.
I think Mykelti ia a drama queen just like her father. I think she created a lot of drama as a child for attention.

You mistaken, Kody didn't prefer Leon Meri demanded Leon had preferential treatment. She always made sure everyone treated her like the princess, the daughter of the queen. Both of them took advantage that she was the legal wife. Therefore, Leon was the leagl daughter. The reason why adults is that the kids are not close to Leon and leon isn't exactly close to the siblings. She also lost her place to Robyn kids when Meri lost her place. She lost her place way before Covid.
Kody did make comments in the first season that he kind of preferred Meri's house, because it was quieter and less chaotic than the other houses.
You're right, that Meri definitely flaunted her "first wife" and "legal wife" status in front of the other wives. That implied superiority rubbed off on Leon.
Robyn makes sure that none of the OG13 kids are close to Robyn's kids.
But their jewelry designs are ugly, not nice, they look cheap too.

I read several times, not sure how true it is, the family was on food stamps before the tv show with it's moneytrain came around. But why would Mykelti have had a more difficult time pre show, wasn't she in the ssme boat so to speak as the other children?
Because she’s a drama, queen and drama queen always have a harder life than everyone else, even given the same circumstances
Kody totally loved Meri and their relationship was real. Then Robyn figured out that she didn’t need Meri except for her money contributions to the family. Then Robyn started to manipulate Meri to keep her around but also to keep separate from Kody. So she just interjected herself between them until they were alienated from each other. Anyone ever notice that Meri was the family picture taker and all said what a great photographer she was and Robyn took that position over. Robyn took all the wives hobbies or favorite things to do away from them. Crazy.
I felt the same way about Meri and Robyn in the beginning. I always thought Meri was the preferred wife and that Robyn was the new fling. When they teamed up, then it seemed like they were both preferred over Christine and Janelle.
My cousin's daughter went to fashion school and now works for Fruit of the Loom. I doubt men's underwear was her muse when she started school.
I think Mykelty has an urge to always be in the spot light. The first wedding special Mykelty sort of begged her mom to say in some way that Mykelty was the best kid or some thing like that. I saw
Peadon dancing with his mom and Mykelty tried to break in on their dance and Paedon waved her away. See seems to want alot of attention. I know I did not spell these names right, people spell names so different now.
Yeah, she’s just like Cody always has to be the center of attention. She proved that at her mother’s wedding when her sister was giving the toast, she had to insert herself and make herself center of attention. Thank goodness Aspen brought it back to Christine.
Mykelfi didn’t. Even graduate college lol and isn’t in fashion either

I have always wondered what happened with Mykelti and that fashion school. IIRC, it was mentioned/shown in this episode and then never again. I hope it wasn't just a story line, but it kinda feels like it. I feel like this episode is a fine illustration in how narcissistic parents deter their children from pursuing authentic dreams/goals. We can see it in Leon's example too.

I believe they were real dreams as we've all had, yet a majority don't pursue because most parents are selfish, narcissist @$$holes. Leon is well Leon now - self explanatory + the girly/Logan virgins met and married the first person they saw, well so did Leon. A SLIGHTLY different generational lifestyle shift. A major and SURPRISINGLY different aspect is they all seemingly met amazing loving partners. I guess they grew up under a total facade umbrella, which is perhaps how they've skated by abusive @$$holes like their father and just a hardened lifestyle in general.
How many dreams did you have as a teen? It's normal to have dreams that don't pan out.

Based on the wedding episodes Mykelti wont last long in my family. If I heckled someone giving a speech my mom would have smacked my face. She's very annoying and rude. If you let a child be that way they will grow up to be the same as an adult.
Oh my goodness lighten up! They are sisters and they enjoy this banter between the two of them and even said so on the episode.
@@debbyallen1234 no they don't, which was telling by Aspyn's perfect response to Mykelti. Pretty sure even her big mouth husband told her to stand down. I got beat a lot, so I don't agree with OP on the smack, but Mykelti is definitely met with many eye rolls.
It’s the drama queen in Mykelti coming out. She always has to be the center of attention and always has to bring it back to her.
People should express their opinions about their point of view but don’t watch or respond if all you want to do is argue with the hosts. Do your own show if that’s what you care about.
