I guess I didn't realize that I was sneezing a bunch! Probably kicking up that saw dust. I really enjoy the cedar shavings when I am working on a project. Unfortunately all of this was just pine!
I totally agree with you and your wife about the importance of organizing your stuff. I have done big projects around my house for years. As bins get full I either split it into two bins or get a larger bin. All my fasteners are in smaller bins and trays with sections and lids. I love that when I need a stapler they are in a little larger bin with all the staples included. I store sandpaper in one bin, etc. Besides knowing what I have before starting a project it takes little time to find things too. One of the most important rules I have is to put label on every bin. I use wide blue tape and I put on at least two sides of the bin. The tape allows you to set up new bins easily.
Thats a good idea. Will keep that in mind when we decide to organize again down the road once we are fully done and moved in! I know getting stuff out of the totes and seeing exactly what we have feels like a huge step!
Even though you’re not doing construction the way you’d like to do it you’re still being productive. Production is still good. You’re still doing you’re still I can’t say you’re ahead of yourself, but you’re still a step ahead and away you know because when you know where everything is organizing Cluttered it’s gonna help you locate the items that you need at the time you need them Keep up the good work
It definitely is nice to be back to a place of peace! I will do my best to keep it clean as I continue with the construction project. I know it might get more dirty before it gets fully clean!
Honestly, you don't need to apologize for cleaning and organizing and doing a re-set. So many Homesteader UA-cam channels spend most of their time looking for items or talking about how they need to get things done because they are getting behind, and yet, it comes down to clutter and disorganization. I try to do a declutter and clean up reset about every 3 months. This really helps with keeping organized, but it also helps with things having a place/ home to go to , therefore you're more likely to clean up as you go. And not only do you save on time, but as you mentioned you don't have to keep going and buying supplies and then later on find out, oh I already had three boxes of screws, etc. The other thing that's important about cleaning and organizing is it makes the area safer because there's not loose things around for someone to step on them or trip on them, and that makes it very valuable also
I think I could use a quarterly or bi annual set up on doing something like this. I feel like I am really trying my best to keep things clean as I go with the construction project, but at the end of the day, you just want to take the tool belt off and go inside. I probably did this a few too many times and let it get out of hand!
I get it. I have been dealing with a bad cold for weeks. I am just getting better and it's time to get my home clean up and back into some type of order. God bless y'all, stay warm and keep moving forward!
When my brother was building a house, the kids would gather all the scrap and line it up in the garage. The contractors loved it because when they needed a certain length, they could easily find it. That would be a great task for you son if he wanted a little job.
Great video, I bet you found things you forgot you had. It helps to put things in a place, to keep it, there is another.hope you can hang up some things on your walls or add more shelves.take care
never worry about what you can't control. and only worry about geting it done son, hell I can remember my time building my own home. hell it took me 4 years, to where we could move into it. only to have local BS fight me every day.
Gosh, it's got to smell so good in there because of the sawdust! I hope that makes all of your hard work more pleasant. Stay warm!

When you uncluttered, it resets your mind. Looking forward to you farming, gardening etc. 👍❤️
Keep warm!! Everybody needs a brake.🫂🫂🫂🫂
Yes! The cold definitely feels like its giving us that break!

A very satisfying video. Congrats on cleaning & organizing. 🎉
Thanks, it definitely feels good to have things in order! Cleaning and organizing is not my strong suit! haha

This was a great video. You really made it a organized barn. I like that a lot.
Thank you so much!

You perfectly described the truth. You also saved me typing this less coherently on my iPad 😂

I also got inspired by sow the lands episode of organization and the podcast. It did wonders for my productivity 💚 thanks for sharing
It is amazing how much getting organized can change things, isn't it?

Progress over perfection. A little at a time, and eventually you will find a rhythm
@ thanks! Have to start somewhere that’s for sure!
Organization not only makes finding things easier but it makes the area safer to work in.
That’s so true!

Oh such sweet fun! The kids do play with the cut offs! Haha. But they end up in a big box and not really organized. lol
I love to unclutter but my hubby keeps everything
I feel you! Only problem is that is me! 😅 Olivia is shocked at how I actually put stuff away for once haha
Don’t forget to relabel those totes. Since you put all that wire in a tote that said wrenches 😂
Haha very true! Was just putting them there to take to scrap!
Great video, I bet you found things you forgot you had. It helps to put things in a place, to keep it, there is another.hope you can hang up some things on your walls or add more shelves.take care
Oh absolutely!! This was just a declutter but once everything is finished completely, we will put shelves up and add more storage.

I really hope it doesn’t take that long! You never know! Appreciate the advice! Needed to hear that!
❤
