It's funny how the abstract expressionists claimed it wasn't real art. How abstract is it to paint something apparently devoid of content or meaning. Totally abstract.

I mean technically it’s just a photo. It takes significantly less effort.

BirminghamMAG this is my most of all favorite style of painting.
But If I ever did, I try to use different type of paint mixture.
Sadly in today's world any iPad and Phone APP can use a photo to do the job, You will never know, There are even Canvas specially made it for Computer Printers. after all Hyperrealism [the way I learn the name of this art long time ago] before airbrush makes everything easy. Only Bristle Brushes was at reach in those times. and I fall in love instantly when I saw those [jobs] for the first time. The good thing about this style is that [You Will Never Run Out of Ideas] even MACROS will do the trick.

0:47 - 0:59 the most ridiculous and most stupid claim! Those critics can go to hell with all their arrogance, ignorance and habit to insult others if they don't like their works! If you can't find meaning or purpose in photorealistic artwork (or artworks of any other style, for that matter), that doesn't necessarily mean it's not there, but you can't find it. I, for example can and do. When I see a photorealist painting, I first try to find that abstract side of it, what did the artist want to say with it. I'm not going straight away for the details to worship them and artist's skill and technical knowledge as many do. That is the key in finding meaning in photorealism. I find photorealism to be intellectually full, just as much as abstract art, especially today. Photorealists have greatly evolved from 1960s to today, today they are much more figurative, imaginative and creative altogether, they first try to make a story in and about an artwork. Hyperrealists on the other hand, have elevated all that to another, greater level.

@@nekonightmares9252 yes, and just because of that you should be aware of the diversity and frequent opposition among individual opinions and tastes - meaning that almost always there will the heated arguments between people, offended ones etc. This is just one example, I as a great lover and admirer of photorealist and hyperrealist art could obviously not that easily withstand this bullshit (BULLSHIT IN MY OPINION) at 0:49 - 0:59.

Yo prefiero a Picasso,Cezanne,Matisse,Robert Rauschenberg etc.
