I used to work as a server at a restaurant in down town San Diego by the bay. It was located right next to a hotel so we got foreigners all of the time. When a group of older Chinese men came in to eat we never worried because they were very respectful and tipped accordingly. But if we got a big group of younger Chinese tourists just forget it. It didn't matter if there was an automatic 20% tip on their bill... no one wanted that table. So the server with the least seniority would be stuck with them.
