    OMG, this is incredible! So excited I stumbled on your channel. Growing up in MN and spending all those years on the water, lakes just get in your blood.

    VERY NICE! Great boat and great boating area, too!
    when anchoring, local knowledge is ALWAYS important... good thing you had a PILOT Swan to guide you!
    Looking forward to a BOAT TOUR, to see how you've set up your RT27

      Thank you! Local knowledge is great and because of that I try to keep my Garmin active captain up to date so I can see notes about anchorages left by other boaters on my chart plotter. I didn't even know MI had swans so it was fun to see!

    Years ago my Aunt and Uncle lived on Arcadia Lake, they kept their 34 foot Silverton docked there, loved going out on that boat.

    Buddy, this is fantastic!! Thanks for sharing, thanks for the in depth instruction and thoughtful note on anchorage 👍 I've been looking for a great lakes explorer channel, the ranger tug is wicked cool 👍 if you ever need an old galley swab with zero open water experience, a veteran pension, and a mouth for discipline and piracy of good humor 😅😂, count me aboard 🇺🇲🫡☠️

    huge question answered! I was wondering what single hand experience would be like on the R-27.

    • @MillennialAfloat
      @MillennialAfloat  8 місяців тому

      The size of the r-27 seems to be perfect for single handing! docking is the hardest part. if I don't have help I toss the midship line out of the window to wrap around a cleat then use the outboard to slowly suck the stern to the dock.

    Unembellished and pleasing, the video seemed appropriate to the passage it documented. Thank you.

    Just found your channel...looking into one of these RT's myself in the coming years. I like the 27 with its ability to trailer and outboard/kicker for easy of maintenance. You're the first solo RT owner I think I've seen...how is it handling and livability being a solo operator?

    • @MillennialAfloat
      @MillennialAfloat  7 місяців тому +2

      It handles well solo. docking is the hardest part usually where I have to toss my midline over a cleat but with some practice is not a problem. I am 6 2 and have a good amount of headroom everywhere but the bathroom.

    Curious if you have trailered your RT27, if so how was that? What kind of truck would tow it comfortably?

    • @MillennialAfloat
      @MillennialAfloat  3 місяці тому

      I have never trailer it myself. It does have a trailer used for winter storage. but I cant give any input on what would be good for towing sorry.

    Very cool! Nice to see another power boat channel on the Great Lakes! Subbed and looking forward to your adventures. We have a channel called Cruising Jackson Rose if you’re interested. We cruise Lake Ontario, Bay of Quinte and the Trent Severn Waterway. Cheers!

    what's your fuel consumption and range?

    • @MillennialAfloat
      @MillennialAfloat  9 місяців тому

      I get about 1.3-1.4 MPG which give me roughly a 180 mile range while having a safety margin

    You are listing to port. Do you have a lot of weight stashed in the quarter berth?

    • @MillennialAfloat
      @MillennialAfloat  5 місяців тому

      I noticed that also when sitting at dock. the quarter birth is on the starboard side on the 27 so i could add more weight. the port side has the kicker outboard and the dinghy outboard, and when my water tank is not full it seems to have a slight list. when underway the trimtabs easily correct it when going fast.
