Absolutely love these feathers!!! These types of crafty things we used to make years ago before all the dies and stamps became available. My daughters and I used everything around us to make cards. From wood shavings from hubby workbench, balsa wood pieces, to paper butterflies made of wax paper and crayons. I love that thru decoupage crafters like yourself we are seeing some of these lovely ideas being used again. I look forward to your unabashed creativity in the forefront again.
Never seen one of your videos that I DID NOT Like!! Always happy to find out there is one waiting for me in the evening, as I do not take my tablet with me during the day. Really my favourite crafter! Love that you show there is so many to do with so little and cheap things. Here in Africa we cannot buy whatever is available in the rest of the world, so we need to be very creative! Thanks for all the inspiration, Cathy
Ms. Marta - beautiful vintage feathers - and what a wonderful book from your friend. Thanks for sharing this tutorial. Sending warm hugs to you and Ms. Emily! Kathy
"Tuckled"! Marta has a new word - I'm lovin' it! And I love the feathers too (although because I'm a musician I'm a bit weird about using music as paper!!). Fab technique - thank you!
As always beautiful and easy project. I like the string idea I have done them with wire & was sticking myself so I never used them. Now I will make them all with string so they can be used in my journals. Thanks again for another wonderful video.
I really like your vibe and how you talk so postive about your "unplanned" crafts. I've been watching a few of your videos to help me decorate a memory box for my niece. I really like your videos.
Nice feathers. The book looks like an old church hymnal. Occasionally found in used bookstores. I have some angel stamps these feathers would look good with in my art journal. Thank you for the inspiration.
I love these! Can't wait to get busy making them. My very dear friend passed away and since he's gone we find feathers in the most unexpected places. I'm going to make a card for his wife with that sentiment. Thanks.
I tried making these a while back and today ran into this video. Will definitely try the inking along the edges to dress up the feathers a bit...it adds so much. Thanks for the video. :)
Yes, these would look great on a tree, Christmas or other. Maybe some embossing powder towards the bottom as though they've been dipped. Any colour to match your theme. Thank you Marta. Always inspiring. XXX
I love this idea! Thank you! A local used book store always has a pile of freebie books outside their door where I found some old musical score books. I've been saving them for the right inspiration. You just provided that.
I have made some similar in another project, but I used a stick and I love the idea of using the string to make a dream catcher. You're the best Marta! Also widening our minds and our creativity!
Beautiful!!! I just came across a raggety old book of hymns someone was throwing away the other day and wondered what I could use it for. I am absolutely doing this! Those feathers are perfectly imperfect! ❤
Hi Marta, Love how your feathers turned out, what a great way to make them, and they look so beautiful, Must have a go and make some. Love coming over to you channel and listening to you speak lovely voice, TFS, Cheers Anna.
Your feathers are absolutely beautiful! I wish I could get my hands on an old book of any kind, but especially either an old ledger or music note book. Your music note book is absolutely drool worthy!❤️❤️❤️🎶🍁 Maybe some fall flowers would be a great use of the paper...Ex: a sunflower->🌻 💕
Love all your videos , I have made feathers copying Secret's video but I must say keeping the edges without glue on them is a great idea I will try them this way to.
These words have been a sweet reminder of my mama who was also my best friend. Butterflies 🦋 are a reminder too because she went from a cancer body to a beautiful pain free body in heaven. Would you please make some handmade butterflies one day? Thanks for sharing!! ❤️
Dear Maremi, Just wanted to let you know that I Absolutely love your channel. and your ideas with crafts. This feather one just has me in awe. I so love the card you made about feathers appear when angels are near. I am going to try my best to make one because few weeks ago I lost my sister , and it was a shock to be told she was no longer with us and all I do is think about her. And when I saw that card it just jumped at me to try and make it. I have a tons of medical issues myself but love love this one so much gonna make a go of it :) P.S. this may sound corny but one you have such a calming voice and that makes a big difference least for me. And way to explain things is amazing. thank you for all your time in your videos.
Jodie I am so sorry for your loss....... 😢💗💔💙💚there is no words to make it feel better.... I am glad the video was special for you. I am sure making those feathers will lovely experience ✂️✂️✂️💚💙💚💙
I have sheets of music that were my mother's and they're all aged and old looking and I want to make feathers for my family for Christmas just was such a good idea
Wow, such a great idea!:D I feel really inspired.:) I've been making both plain & stamped, and watercolor colored bookmarks out of old book pages. Should make a video of them too... I also use watercolor colored (and plain of course too) book pages as craft paper for making cards.
HI marta! I love the angel feathers! I have added a light touch of gold to mine. They look so pretty! I'm going to send one in each of the letters I send out. Thank you so much for all your creative ideas. You are very much appreciated and loved.... I look forward to each of your tutorials:)
FYI the part you're snipping on the feather is called the "vane" the stick or string is the "shaft". On a real feather also featured is the "after feather" that's the fluffy part at the bottom of the vane, wouldn't that be interesting to try and incorporate that into the paper feathers? Yours came out beautiful!!
thank you for this vid, I am starting my small business and wanted to have a vintage packaging in low cost. This is very helpful to someone like me who has a limited capital. Thank you!
