Read my comment I had this same problem and it's because you need to run Xtreme firmware and do not download the esp flasher it's is already there... Read my comment for step by step walkthrough sorry if my writing is terrible
Just Install Xtreme firmware and do not download the esp flasher... Simply go to the gpio folder and under camera suite click esp flasher and click quick flash and choose WiFi dev board and you will see Evil portal + Marauder this will give you the download screen like Sasquatch did and your blue light will be on showing you evil portal is ready... Once doing this back out of your gpio folder and go to the WiFi folder under USB and that is the way you use the Marauder and Evil portal... I almost gave up but this truely worked I promise!!!!!

Hey Sasquatch! I used your bin file to dual boot, marauder and evil portal, except, marauder fw is currently on v10.8 in your bin file, and the newest firmware is 12.0 from koko. Was wondering the correct way to update firmwares? If i go to esp flasher and flash just firmware b with newest marauder, the pcap files are always corrupt. Downloaded your bin file again yesterday and saw it's about to be deleted from your github. Its not a huge deal, just cant access any new features of the marauder companion app like wardrive and such. Only way to have a working marauder now for me is to use your dual boot firmware with v10.8. Anyway you could make the same dualboot file, but with v12.0? Or point me in the right direction for how to update firmware correctly? Thank you!!

EAPOL packets are empty now with Momentum firmware. Is this normal bc dual boot firmware hasn't been updated for Momentum? Evil Portal works great.Thanks for all you do Squatch!

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but we're kinda locked in to this path now. Anytime I install marauder firmware on my devboard, the pcap files are corrupt. I tried everything to fix it, reformatted my flipper and sd and flashed multiple firmwares, but only thing that makes pcap files not corrupt, is installing back the dual boot file of yours. With the ESP32 CAM flashed with the MAYHEM firmware you can use both without needing to 'switch' between. I wonder if we will be able to do the same with the other wifi boards in the future. This borks my wifi dev board. I can manually flash marauder onto the board to fix it, but the flipper flashing it crashes the flipper every single time. The error message is "Flipper crashed and was rebooted screen" and that screen is stuck there until you hold left arrow and back button for a second or two and you will have to do it twice.

For some reason my ap is always started and displayed as "PORTAL", no matter what I set it to in the txt file or through the app on my f0. It does work as described, but who is going to select a network named "PORTAL". Any clues as to what I need to do to fix it?

Download the dual boot file. Then plug in your SD card, navigate to the apps_data, open esp flasher, then drop the dual boot file in there. I was confused as well initially. This was probably left out due to people having the flasher in different folders.

hi, this worked for me for a long time, now all pcap files are empty (0 byte). is there a quick fix for this problem? i flashed with flipper esp32 flasher: manual, (x) bootloader and flipper_WROVER file on my WROVER board with RM firmware. A/B switching is working, evil portal is working, scanning is working too. it finds EAPOLs, but all files have no content ... i have latest RM0223 please help
i have updated wrover to v0.13.8 at FW B and waited for some time. pcap 0-3 also 0 byte, but pcap 4-8 not empty. maybe i was waiting not long enough or FW update was helping
I've tried everything now. I got myself a WIFI dev board pro, but haven't been able to find any reliable videos online on how to update the firmware or flash this specific type of board. The rick-roll and scanning AP works, but when using the marauder or evil portal it shows as it should but doesn't actually do anything. As it doesn't have a usb-c port in it and the buttons are the wrong way around i haven't been able to get the updates to work and haven't been and to use t to its fullest. When trying to follow this video the bootloader on the flipper zero would only say load 0x40078000,len:12308 load:0x40080400,len:3076entry 0x40085ec. I don't understand how to get it in bootloader to flash the bootloader and the firmware's in it.
Does doing this require the use of custom flipper firmware? I have ESPFlasher from the flipper phone app however, flipper is running updated but still default firmware. Have they worked it out yet to allow the functionality of BP and Marauder stuff on the default firmware?

On my flipper when I go to esp flasher it says API Mismatch. I am not sure what is wrong. Could someone explain this to me? I just want to know if this is the reason it will not let me switch between marauder and evil portal since that isn't working either. All I can use is evil portal.
Dual Boot ESP32 WROOM.bin does not seem to work on Wroom boards, been trying to get it to run. Seemingly installs, just wont switch properly and none of the apps seem to interface properly as the board does not become active unless i select ESP Flasher. Anything I am missing? Tried installing the other options just results in a wrong chip type error.

To install I have to enter bootloader manually using buttons then tried flashing the dual boot firmware. It completes this way and I can run Evil Portal - but I cannot switch firmware. I assume this is because when you click to switch firmware it automatically enters bootloader (similar to if you were to click "enter bootloader" option) first and then re-flashes. But as it doesn't work (for mine at least) vroom board telling me to "make sure the device is in bootloader/reflash mode, then try again". So to try and switch, I can enter "bootloader mode" manually using buttons and then select switch firmware. It tells me it is a success but always ends up on the Evil Portal firmware, cannot get into Marauder. Is this the best place to bring it up?

The Wifi dev board has wires hooked up to the GPIO0 and EN on the esp32 pins that can trigger a reset and bootloader from the flipper zero. At the moment connecting the ESP32-WROOM I have 3.3v, Ground, TX and RX hooked up only. Does anyone know if there is community help forum I can post to to try and figure out how to get the GPIO0 and EN pins hooked up so that it works as the Flipper expects (or am I being really stupid and basically re-creating the wifi dev board from scratch)?

so i have wired a esp32s3 inside my flipper zero and i want to bootloader option to work. currently it does not without using the buttons. As i only have 4 wires soldered to the gpio pins internally the 3v3 grnd tx and rx what extra pins would i need to solder in so that entering the bootloader through the software would work thanks and your videos are great
I've seen this done like.. once on Reddit. Is this you? If that's the case I'd love to chat about it. To enter bootloader you have to connect EN/GPIO0 to RTS/DTR
No that wasn’t me but I saw it and knew I could do it. So I ordered the smallest esp32 I could find and went to work it wasn’t that hard really. Only took a couple hours and it’s still a work in progress. Scans fine but I can’t connect an antennae at the moment and really wanted this ability so needed to know what gpio pins to add. Great tutorial but it's not working for me. It crashes with error "null pointer dereferenced". Also, when flashing ESP there is an option for FirmwareB (assuming i could flash to that second position manually instead of flashing as dual boot), so tried that but also doesn't work and says "no core dump partition found" right at the end. Also, does this tutorial require Roguemaster FW? I am using stock.

hallo.ich habe unleshed firmware,und es fonktioniert alles sehr gut.aber wenn ich den flipper ausschalte ,geht evil portal nicht mehr und nur nochmarauder.dann muss ich den bootloader wieder neu flashen damit wieder beides geht!kann mir bei disem problem vielleicht bitte jemand helfen?danke

so i have wired a esp32s3 inside my flipper zero and i want to bootloader option to work. currently it does not without using the buttons. As i only have 4 wires soldered to the gpio pins internally the 3v3 grnd tx and rx what extra pins would i need to solder in so that entering the bootloader through the software would work thanks and your videos are great
I've seen this done like.. once on Reddit. Is this you? If that's the case I'd love to chat about it. To enter bootloader you have to connect EN/GPIO0 to RTS/DTR
No that wasn’t me but I saw it and knew I could do it. So I ordered the smallest esp32 I could find and went to work it wasn’t that hard really. Only took a couple hours and it’s still a work in progress. Scans fine but I can’t connect an antennae at the moment and really wanted this ability so needed to know what gpio pins to add. If you have more questions let me know. Your videos are great thanks for making them 😊

Great tutorial but it's not working for me. It crashes with error "null pointer dereferenced". Also, when flashing ESP there is an option for FirmwareB (assuming i could flash to that second position manually instead of flashing as dual boot), so tried that but also doesn't work and says "no core dump partition found" right at the end. Also, does this tutorial require Roguemaster FW? I am using stock.

I have WROOM and it gives wrong chip ID error but also might be possible i am doing something wrong
